Re: Thursday!

Someone from South Korea keeps calling my cell phone. It happened a month ago late at night, so I didn't answer. But they have called me 3 times this morning. I finally answered and they hung up on me.

  • Because I wanted to be a storm chaser when it came out!!! And I had just lost my dad, so I could totally relate. It's such an awesomely bad movie it's awesome.

Opal, I did flip. And I checked my schedule and found out about being dropped right before a doctor's appointment. When they took my blood pressure they were all concerned and I was like "HELLO! I'm hyperventilating! Of course it's going to be high!!"

[QUOTE]LDY, I was always afraid it was going to get stuck in my molars and then I wouldn't get enough of the baby blocking stuff. I miss the NuvaRing. It just wasn't a very good relationship though :(

    That's exactly why I don't chew it!

I heard guys can feel the nuvaring...truth?
  • LTB - They are going about things so backwards. The did bring DuraClean in (a restoration company that is local) to place a boatload of fans in there, but the problem is the tiny apt can't handle the load, so they keep turning off, hence the smell. And there are 2 refridgerant things that suck the water out of the air and drain into the sink. They sprayed a mildicide (sp?) on the carpets, but it isnt going to do the trick. They need replaced. The pad is so wet still. They are just too cheap b/c they just put new carept in in Nov when we moved in.

Like I said, it sucks for the next tennants, but right now, I just want our stuff out of there asap so we can move on with our lives. It will be living out of a suitcase for the next few weeks, which is stressful along with starting a new job soon, but I just will be happy once we get back and settled.

And we will never have a place again with the hot water tanks in the apartments. My old apt hot water tank was in a closet out on the deck. We might end up claiming the couch and the spare mattresess on insurance. I have pics of everything, so that is a good thing since an adjuster can't come out until Monday.
  • MissySue...that's terrible.  I would have flipped out.  I hope you're doing okay.

Birdie -- getting off BC after we got married was one of the best things I ever did.  I didn't realize how much it was messing up my body.  H and I aren't TTC yet, but we're just not using hormonal BC because I wanted to give my body time to adjust before we started.  I didn't lose any weight (unfortunately) but I feel a lot more in tune with my body and I feel healthier than I did in the ten years that I was on hormonal BC.

  • maltida, I have this elderly man that always calls me. I have him programmed into my phone now so I know who it is. I feel bad for him though because he somehow has my number written down instead of his own daughters. It got really confusing when he started asking for Jennifer and I was like "this is she" and then he wouldn't believe I wasn't HIS daughter Jennifer. One time he even put her kids on the phone and had them leave a message asking for a toy on my voicemail.
  • I have a funny story about the NuvaRing, but it's not something I want to put out there for all of the interwebz to see. :)

Oh, today is the first day I have actually felt normal and not on spaz mode. I started crying on Monday when it happened b/c maintence wasn't in yet and I was trying to catch the water from the ceiling and move stuff out of the way. It totally had a meltdown. I felt like a 2 year old, but I couldn't help it. When you see the stuff you worked hard for about to be ruined, I guess it is natural to freak.
  • Oh man, Birdie, that's so sad. I googled the number a while ago because it has 2 extra digits. It's definitely South Korea and they definitely said hello in English when I answered. Maybe now they will know they have the wrong number and stop calling.

  • Morning. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FISCHE. !!!!! You know my DH's douche boss? Well I did a little investigate yesterday and found out some of the awards listed in his press release when he came to work here are not true. I knew this guy was a liar. Makes me feels better my gut was right about this guy.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • LVB if you're still reading this, I had the IUD an I loooooooved it. It takes some getting used to, but once you're over the initial adjustment phase it's the best.

I have a note here that says "bake". What does that mean? OH! BABESTATE! HA! Ok, yes, I just wanted to say I'm glad you are having a good week with Mr. Babe. Dates are important for us old married hags. (And yes, I take notes as I go through the goodmorning thread. How else will I remember what to say?!)

I already told fishface happy birthday, but I'll say it again if that'll get me a piece of cake. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

    Vibes to Habs.

Aleigh, I now need updates when you find your cat. Cause I'm going to worry, K?

Matilda, take tomorrow off and sleep. Sleep is so important!

Anna every story you tell about your apartment gives me nightmares.

Opal OMG I would have flipped out. Actually I did. When I went to graduate- I mean AT the graduation ceremony- they didn't have my name on a little index card to hand the announcer. I panicked, ran to the nearest computer and pulled up my transcript. It said "Congratulations ! You have completed your coursework for this degree!" at the bottom. I'm glad you got everything worked out! And woohoo! Graduation!
  • LTB - I will send you a PM. Thanks!

  • When you have an IUD do you still get your girly time? Because that's what I'm trying to avoid right now.
  • Birdie - will you send it to me in a PM? I've been thinking about trying to switch to NuvaRing...I have been forgetting my pill and it's kinda scary!
  • Yeah Birdie, IUD doesn't change the pattern of your girly time. Although mine got shorter.
  • "Cow"

    "'Nother Cow"

"I think that's the same cow"

And OMG Night of the Twisters. My sister was obsessed with Devon Sawa. What ever happened to him?

    image
  • Thanks for all the house vibes!  I have a good feeling about this place!

It's pouring rain right now.  I has been pouring rain for days straight.  It's mosquito breeding grounds here.  We need the sun to dry up all the rain right now.

So my sister decided she wants her hair to be the same style as mine for the wedding.  Is that weird?  I mean, she has curly hair and I have straight, but we are both blonde and she's my MOH.  Is it bridezilla if I ask her not to do the same hair style as me?  I told her it's what I'm doing and she said "oh well, I have curly hair, so it won't look the exact same."

  • Missysue that is awful!  I'm really sorry some of your stuff got ruined!  I hope your insurance covers what was ruined.  It's probably a round about God send though - I mean you guys can move back home much earlier together and not have the extra 2 months on the lease to have to pay.  It will just make the move that much easier financially.  (not how you pictured it, but I think in the end it will be much better for the two of you).

**That was my LDY positive thought of the day**
  • Lynda - please send an anonymous letter to the GM tipping him off.  That would be awesome.
  • Happy Birthday Fische!

Hope you have a wonderful day :)

Definitely. After I thought about it, it was a God send. And it was good that I quit my job when I did or I would have had to leave with about a week left to deal with this. Mike has a huge project going on at work, he has been working 12 hour days, so I have been handling it all myself for the most part.

I am just so thankful we will get out of the lease so the money can stay in savings and our friend is letting us use her garage and stay here for free. We are so thankful for these 2 great families we have met at church. I know we will be back to visit. I mean, how could we not?
  • Ditto Stacks Lynda. That's shitty that he lied about professional awards like that.

  • ((hugs)) to Missy!

I thought all the dogs in Twister survive? I just watched this a few weeks ago when it was on tv, and totally enjoyed it.

  • I sent you a PM LDY

See, just when you thought you didn't fit in down there you realize that you really did make it a home.  So be proud of yourself for making the best of it.  You can come back to the Bus knowing you two gave it your all.

    **LDY positive thought #2**
  • Well, I am off to do some errands and gather some more things from the hell hole.

Hopefully I will be back on later.

LTB - I will check for your PM later. Thanks again.
  • :: drops my 2 cents in the IUD jar ::

An IUD changes the lady time for some people.  Some people stay the same, and some don't have a lady time.  Just depends on the person, I guess.
