I love Tim Burton too but just not C&CF. I can't think of any other movie of his I don't like. BFF and I almost always go out to see any of his movies right when they come out. Another thing that makes me feel old about Willy Wonka vs Charlie is that most kids trick or treating didn't "get" my WW Oompa Loompa costume. When kids knew who I was though, they got extra candy.

Ehh I like Tim Burton, to an extent. I love "The Nightmare Before Christmas", and think it's awesome that Jack Skellington is voiced by the actor who played Prince Humperdinck in "The Princess Bride".

If not liking the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp pairing is an UO, count me in. I think it was great at first -- I loved Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney Todd -- but at this point it's just getting tired. Also, the movies aren't selling the way they used to. Tim Burton's highest-acclaimed film is the only one he's done recently WITHOUT Johnny Depp (Big Fish). It would blow me away more now to see a TIm Burton film that isn't concentrated around people with oddly-shaped features, talking about death and dying, and not starring Johnny Depp.

jcb - we have a turntable with a USB cable to convert albums to digital format. It's taking forever, though, to play each one and record it. We have hundreds of albums.

I think I was born old, I'd rather sit at home and crochet in my glider rocker than go out and party, haha...
Also, I mentioned a character from the Disney cartoon Tail Spin, and no one I was talking to knew what the heck I was talking about And that wasn't even that long ago!
Teaching my daughter how to play VHS tapes, and explaining to her that you can't just "go back" to a scene and watch it again, and that you have to REWIND it when it's done.

I coach a high school color guard. None of them have ever heard of the Columbine shootings in Colorado and they only remember reading/hearing stories about 9/11 within the past few years for school assignments, they don't actual remember the day or watching the video footage on tv.
