Night Thread-Talk to me

Re: Night Thread-Talk to me

• Anyone still watching the Olympics?  I get so wrapped up in the Olypians' stories and can get too anxious so typically I turn things off halfway through a routine because I don't want to see them mess up!
• Be right back, the dog needs to go out.

• Oh, I do pretty much everthing better on the left too, Musu.  Except some balancing things that require flexibility for the non-standing leg.  In that case, I'm better on the right.

<div>Am I the only one who just had the whole thread flip backwards so the newest posts are first?</div>
• I used to be really flexible and could do lots of cool stuff, like backbends and put my feet over my head. I tried that not too long ago and felt like I was about to break my spine. I miss being that flexible. When I was in gymnastics I could do the cartwheel to back handspring or flip but now I psych myself out and tense up, and end up crashing down on my head.
• In Response to Re:Night ThreadTalk to me:
I've never tried an arial. nbsp;I was too chickenshit to try that. nbsp;Or back handsprings. nbsp;I can do front ones fine, and those are supposedly harder. Posted by MyUserName1
I'm clearly drunk bc my vision is a little blurred and I read that as "I've never tried anal."

• Okay, I'm back to normal.  But that was kind of weird.
• That didn't happen to me, Loopy. Weird.

I know what you mean, Muni. I was better with turns and balancing on what was considered my "right" side but really that meant my left leg was the turning or standing leg.

<div>Yeah, me too.  Unless it's something like the yoga or cheerleading pose where you grab your foot and straighten that leg- that I can do waaaaay better standing on my right leg because my left is so much more flexible.</div>
• I can still do splits and backbends and whatnot.  That feels pretty good at my age.
• I think my legs were mostly equally flexible but my right leg is a tad more bendy.

I'd probably have to stretch every day for a week but then I'd have my splits back I'm guessing.

• I have better balance standing only on my right leg than on my left.  I'm not sure if they were more equal before I sprained my left ankle pretty badly a couple of years ago or not since I never paid that much attention until I was doing balance stuff as part of my PT.  And since then I've done some yoga which shows me it's still uneven.
• I can still do one on the left cold.  I just tested.
• What was your biggest strength, Muni? You know like some people are turners, others are adagio, grande allegro, petit allegro, etc. I was definitely best at grande allegro. The long legs helped with big jumps.

• Loopy, It might have always been uneven.  If you have a dominant leg, those muscles could be stronger on that leg making balancing easier.

<div>...honestly, barre excercises.  My OCD came in handy.  I was never as good away from the barre at the actual dancing.  But adagio was probably my strength on the floor- i liked that it was slower and gave me time to perfect things.</div>
• I'm not sure which leg I balance better on. Now I'll have to test it.
• I can't think of what I want to put in the thank you card to FMIL for hosting the shower this weekend.  I can't put what I put for the showers last weekend because those notes were really impersonal because I'm not as close to those people. FMIL and I are really close and I don't want to just put something generic.  Blah.

• K. Drank too much. bed time. Night ladies.
• Night Aleigh! FI booted me out, so I'll finish my bottle of wine at home now.
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• Why did your FI boot you out?
• Haha man I hated barre. I mean I totally respected its necessity. I just hated it. I liked adagio too! I actually didn't dislike much besides barre.

• Oh man I just realized that Loops is at the point where she either has a recognizable second ladyshow or she's growing a peen.

He was tired and wanted to go to bed. He probably would have loved for me to have stayed, but since it's not cool with his parents, I pretty much refuse to do that.

• I don't get parents like that, Angel. When your kid is in their mid 20s, they are old enough to have a sleepover with their fiance. J's parents were kind of like that if we ever visited them and stayed overnight. We were "supposed" to sleep in separate rooms. But since his room was in the basement and the bed I was supposed to sleep on was in the room next to his, they were never the wiser....

<div>Haha... true.  I haven't had my big ultrasound yet (a week from Monday), but we are staying team green anyway.  But one of the ladies who is having a boy on my BMB posted something about starting to laugh during sex with her H over having two peens in her at the same time.  And then a bunch of others said now that's what THEY think about too.  I told H about it this afternoon.  His response "I can't believe some of the shiiiit you ladies talk about".</div>

<div>Before FI moved out of his parents, the only time I stayed the night over there was when we had to leave at the butt crack of dawn for a trip the next day.  We slept in his bedroom, but he slept in his brother's bed and let me sleep in his bed.  His parents weren't home.  </div>
