[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Hello? : Actually my parents weren't married at the time. My grandparents were married before WWII and <strong>my grandfather ended up being a POW for a year.</strong>  So my grandmother insisted my dad wait until he returned to propose, so my mom wouldn't have to go through that worry.  Odd logic but he agreed.

  • J& K- You have 57 unread books?? I only have 3 books on my kindle. I got it last November, I blame hard core wedding planning to my lack of reading. I'm finishing the book i'm on now then then re-reading The Great Gatsby-before the movie ruins it for me.

  • I have never seen My Cousin Vinny all the way through. My mom had a large white bunny named Vinny when she was in high school, though. Good addition to the conversation, Nicki!

  • I have a question to toss out:  I just got 30DS...I have no clue when the best time of day would be to do it.  My schedule is so wonky outside of classes.

Finals are Thursday, so I'm planning on starting  Friday and doing it in the morning, but will I be too sore to function if I do it in the morning?  Should I do it in the evening, maybe before dinner?

Ha, yeah...see, I get emails about the free and cheap books?  And I download whatever looks remotely interesting.  I think out of the 70 total books I have on my Kindle, I've probably paid less than $70 for all of them.

  • Lizzie, it doesn't matter.  For the first few days you'll be too sore to function no matter when you do it.

Personally, I'd do it first thing in the morning--one, because you won't have as much time to make excuses ;)  two, because you'll be moving the rest of the day to work out at least a little of the lactic acid.  I think you'll end up less sore that way.

<div>I find that the next day is more of a problem than the day of, but if I do a lot of sitting I'll start to stiffen up even later that day.  When I was wedding planning I used to work out before work.  Getting through the day was always fine, it was in the evening when I sat down to relax before bed and then the following day that were rough.  The best thing to do when you're sore though is keep working it.</div>
  • Sure was Lizzie! I have all next week off, then a week long theatre voice class away from home. So I am lookin forward to my two weeks off of work. Well deserved. Oh, and next Thurs Bay and I are driving up to visit Snippy! I think I can make it three more days of work.

  • I was thinking of doing one of those fitness programs, 30DS or P90x. But without the diet aspect. I have my own crazy diet for many reasons, I don't need to add any other ridiculousness to it.

  • J&K - I have about 50 books on my Kindle queue too.  And 8 or 9 "real" books that I got from my mom last time I was home.

I feel like they have memory to hold thousands of books.  And if you HATE it, you can always delete it, I think?

See, this is what happens.  I just went to Amazon to find out when the second book in the Under the Never Sky trilogy is coming out.  Found out it has a release date and is available for pre-order.  Pre-ordered it.  Got the suggestion thing.  Downloaded 3 more books.

H said he thought he could save me money by buying me a Kindle.  NOT.

<div>Other than being vegan, are you doing any other restrictions. Also, how long after becoming vegan did your weight loss plateau? I'm still losing weight and I can't decide if it's stress (I don't feel stressed anymore) or because of the diet still. </div>
  • My whole Family bought me Amazon GC's for Christmas so I could get books. I still have $150 to spend. lol

  • OH MY GOD I WANT $150 IN AMAZON GCS.  That would make my life.

  • H keeps telling me to spend them, but I wanted to wait until I really needed something. Plus they were meant for books, which I've really been lacking in my reading.

  • I could handle $150 in Amazon GCs as well.  I could do so much with that.

Hmmmm. YoungSon has a Kindle and he never uses it. Perhaps it's time for momma to steal it from him.
