Ah yes, Ilovemyco. I think she did have the Shrekface FI. Which I know sounds really hypocritical since I just got done saying that it's not cool to bust on someone's FI's appearance, but I didn't name him that, everyone else did.

I don't really consider most stuff to be mean, but more of a matter of opinion. I've been called obnoxious (this may be true) and whiny (depends on what day you catch me), but overall it doesn't bother me. People are entitled to their opinions.

The only time I've been truly offended was when someone said that my history of abuse was my fault because I obviously "asked for it" and am so annoying that people will do whatever it takes to "shut me up." Gee, thanks, blame a kid for the crimes of an adult. This was in a PM, but I won't name names because I don't feel like digging up that can of worms again. But it was no one on SB.

But I'm over it, I look at it as someone who will say whatever it takering another down.

Most of mine was opinion-related, too - I made people's eyes roll when I said things (got that one a few times), I needed to grow thicker skin if "fights" that didn't involve me got me upset, someone thought my H was photoshopped into my then sig picture, and the one that got to me the most was the one that was "the only thing I can say about her is she's nice - the implication being I contributed nothing else and was taking up space" (trust me - it was not complimentary).

I was also having a very rough time personally, so I just quietly stepped back from the boards and stopped posting for about 2-3 months. I read, but didn't post. I was curious to see if anyone noticed I wasn't posting anymore (vain, party of one!).

I was just trying to think of her name and I don't think I know. I deleted the PM almost as soon as I got it because I was so "WTF? Did someone really just say that?" and I didn't want to ever look at it again. I didn't post for a like a week after that though.

I'm pretty sure it was an AE. The poster had just signed up a couple weeks before and didn't have a posting history, but knew a lot, so I'm guessing it was an AE of a reg for that board that opened a new account just to send hateful PMs to people she didn't like. It was PQR something, I think. It was a random sequence of letters and numbers.

But now I have to go. A nasty storm is brewing outside and DH is giving me that "Do you WANT to get electrocuted?" look. And no, I don't. Until tomorrow, if this storm doesn't blow us away!

I haven't gotten any real mean remarks but I'm sort of Switzerland on public boards. BlameCanada did piss me off once directly but I don't even remember what it was about or what was said. Guess it didn't bother me that much after all.

I got flamed on E for the first few months I posted. I don't remember specifically what they were, except for that one time AC called me uneducated and generally stupid because I said that global warming was a crock. This was right as the stuff about the climate change research being fudged came out. Then the US had one of the coldest winters on record. And there was CWhookerface who pointed out my scar. That was sweet of her.

Hmm some of that stuff sounds pretty horrible. No one's ever been mean to me but I also think most people kind of ignore me around here anyway..? I can't really tell. Definitely not something I'm going to worry about!
