Maybe TMI question but wondering -- DO ya'll still do "stuff" while on AF? I don't have sex but I'll occasionally oblige J with other acts if he seems antsy. Stupid AF.

We have sex when I'm on my period. We just put an old towel under me and hop in the shower right afterwards.

And I hate, hate, hate the term "AF" or "Aunt Flow."

We start out spooning almost every night but most of the time wind up not by the morning. Neither one of us remember being woken up to move though so it works.

How long would you have to go without sex to consider yourself in a dry spell?
A month +.

What's the longest dry spell you've had (not while you were single, when you were married/had a SO) Maybe a couple months?

What was the reason? Deployment, pg/postpartum, something else?
lots of factors - lack of time/interest/schedules. Also one time it was being the middle of cold/flu season and both of us being sick for like 2 months straight.

I'm with Joy and abbalish for the most part. It's not abnormal for us to go a week or more without having sex. When H and I first started dating, we both had physical/mental health issues that made getting busy challenging. Some have gone away, but some have remained, plus all that beginning work has served to help lower my drive because sex just feels like a lot of work to me. I like the pay off, but getting excited about it is difficult because of all the other "stuff" that I worry about (like chronic UTIs and yeast infections if you want TMI!)

I'd say that things have definitely gotten better, but even after five years, it's a work in progress.

But, I'd also say we're incredibly affectionate in other ways and are very touchy in non sexual ways. And I've basically decided that as long as we remain physically intimate with one another, the rest of the stuff will work itself out.

FI and I are both each others only, which definitely wasn't my plan, but it certainly worked out nicely. We used to bang constantly -- that's what 19 year olds do, right? But it dwindled after the first couple of years and it's been an ebb and flow ever since. We're about once a weekers now. I am certain FI would like it more, but no matter how many times or different ways I say it he won't really initiate it that often -- he feels badly I guess. Like he's bothering me, which I've told him is silly.

We used to have sex when I had it but I got like the most unbelievably AWFUL yeast infection ever afterward once, and it has scared the both of us away since haha.

I got my first IUD when H and I had only been together a few months. I haven't had a period since.

Before that, however, no, I did not want to do anything while on my period. I had really bad endometriosis, and while I was pretty uncomfrotable most days, when my period started, I was miserable. I did not want to do anything even remotely sexual.

We would bone in the shower during specialtime if we weren't going to see each other that week (we were LD for about a year and a half) but now we just take a week off. I'm super uber paranoid about my vag. I think it's gross when it's not bleeding so I rarely feel all sexy and stuff when it is.

FI doesn't mind period sex, but I just don't really enjoy it. With my BC I only bleed for 2 or maybe 3 days anyway so it's not a big deal for us.
