Good day to you!

Re: Good day to you!

  • Sesh, I feel like there are two kinds of cats - 1) Sweet cats who enjoy love/attention (The 1%) and 2) Evil bastard cats. (The 99%). Thor is a 99%-er.
  • LDY, I haven't sent your buttons yet but I haven't forgotten about you! I'm just really busy this week. Hopefully it will happen tomorrow.
  • Haha, Cfas, that's totally Falki, mom's cat. We tell people to not touch her, even when she's being sweet. Everyone is kind of afraid of her.

LDY, Sir Whisky is the 1%. We got lucky and I don't think there will ever be a sweeter cat like him, so he just needs to live forever. I don't want to get stuck with another Falki.
  • LDY, I have one sweet kitty, one evil bastard cat, and one 50/50.

When are you getting your bed all moved in?

  • Mines a 50/50 cat but he's been sweeter since moving. He misses me a lot during the day now that my brother isn't there to keep him company longer. I'll take the extra snuggling.
  • No worries, Midge! Thank you!

Bay, they had to order our mattress, so hopefully it'll be here this weekend. That's our hope at least. We gave our queen set to FIL and my old full size to my SIL knowing that we wanted a king size (to fit the king platform frame we've had for a year lol). It just took a while for Brian to realize that living on an air mattress isn't as fun as it was when he was a kid.

Yet another reason I need a do-over - Gator just threw up in 3 places and I got to clean it up. Today is off to a killer start.

[QUOTE]Hello. We had some storms blow through last night that caused fires.  We're supposed to have equally or more dangerous storms this afternoon.  I'm telling bossman I plan on being home and not in this warehouse when those storms hit.

<div>I WANTED storms last night for some reason. Of course we didn't get any. Lame. </div>
  • Good morning! I'm babysitting my nephew today, and he's full of energy and I'm ready to go back to bed.

Thankfully, he remembered that we have a Wii and brought a video game where he explores the ocean. He's playing that while I actually wake up.
  • Ugh, sleeping on an air-mattress long-term is the worst.  I hope your bed comes this weekend!

I love both cats and dogs, but a dog just isn't in the cards now, with scheduling and whatnot.

  • I prefer dogs to cats. I'm allergic to cats, and if they were all sweet, I'd like cats more, but some cats are crazy, and they plot against you. ;)

Dogs are happy as long as they get pets and treats.
  • We used to sleep on an air mattress when we'd go back to our US house and it was misery. Hated that thing.

I'm actually considering going home for the rest of the day. My coworkers are annoying the piss out of me. They're doing things that thye should KNOW not to, and when I point it out to them, they get annoyed. Sucks to be you yo, but do it right!!
  • Morning.  Cats and I are friends off for the moment.  I woke up to Lotus pissing on me.  Little fuucker gets to live in the bathroom for now.

  • Morning.

It still hasn't rained.  We haven't had a decent rainfall since May.  It's so hot, everything is dying and farmers aren't getting much out of their crops.  Hay is short this year, so all my friends are frantically trying to find food for their ponies to last the winter.  It's going to be a sucky year if we don't get some rain soon!

  • Skittles is only sweet right now because she wants me to take the lamp shade off her head, and is constantly getting me to rub underneath it.  I feel bad for her, but she has a few more days until I feel comfortable taking it off.

  • Edie - Sorry about your pup.  He looked vetry precious.

  • Adamar - WTF? Peeing on you? How considerate.

H and I want a dog someday but we can't ahve one at our rental. We could probably convince them to let us, but we are good with just the cat for now. It would be a big dog of some kind. H has dreams of taking the dog with him to work and having a pal riding with him every day.
  • Edie, I'm slow this morning and just noticed the writting in your sig. I'm sorry for your loss. *hugs*
  • She's being a little shiiit because she's still not used to all of the dogs (most of whom are completely ignoring her), and she thinks she's too good to leave our bedroom and use the litter box in the bathroom that's maybe 5 feet away.  She better shape up quickly or she's becoming a barn cat.  Matilda pissed on my bed, too, and guess what.  She lives in the barn now.

  • Good Morning!  It's back to the grind for me.  Yesterday was brutal.  I really did not plan my return from wedding time off very well.  It was my birthday and the first day back to work.

    Worst birthday ever!

Anywho, today is promising to be better as is the rest of the week.

Tomorrow we finally get to go see our proofs (meeting got pushed back from Sunday) and then Thursday we are going to see a few houses we've had our eyes on.

  • Good morning, ladies! I'm drinking my coffee and mentally gearing up for class. I can honestly say that I'm sick of summer semester, but I only have three weeks left so there's that. Tomorrow is my eldests tooth extraction, via an oral surgeon. I still can't get over the fact that the novocane had no effect! Am I a bad mom for hoping that she says funny stuff under the influence of the IV tomorrow?
  • Ugh, I just read an awful article.  Apparently one of the victims of the Aurora shooting was at the Eaton Centre in Toronto when the shootings took place.  She left the exact spot where the shooter was three minutes before he opened fire and then she moved to Denver and was killed in another shooting.  How awful is that?  http://www.buzzfeed.com/ktlincoln/aurora-shooting-victim-was-a-sportscaster-who-witn

  • Sesh, my dad owns his own business so he takes his new golden with him to work and then Seamus (the golden) goes with my dad to do work on their farm. Seamus is living the doggie dream.

I'm with yall on the rought morning. Sasha started freaking out this time before I even left the apartment. Talk about breaking my heart. SO I was distracted and forgot my coffee and my afternoon snacks. Not quite as bad as being woken up from being pissed on though..
  • Good morning! Cheyenne woke me up at the buttcrack of dawn. FI said she was telling me happy birthday.  She's a pee-on-things cat- she has peed on me almost every time I've put her in her carrier to go to the vet, and she's peed on FI's jeans and Ada's bed.

Habs, Jessica Ghawi's story makes me so sad.  All of them do, but hers is just so so sad.

LDY, my work friends and I are finishing up collecting all of our buttons to send along to you.  I hope to have it out by the end of the week!

My interns made me a crown to wear today.  It matches my dress, which is even better.

[QUOTE]Thanks Bay! Habs, I heard about that.  So sad.

Ditto everyone else, Edie.  So sorry about your pup :(.

So did I tell ya'll about that guy who ditched his 4 month old son in the theater shooting spree?  He was holding the kid when the shooting started, dumped him because he was crying and was afraid the shooter would hear the baby, jumped in to the crowd of people trying to escape, made it out and took off in his car.  Oh yeah, and his girlfriend and her daughter were also in the theater and he ditched them too.  So the news on them now is that they were not engaged before the shooting, he actually proposed in the hospital and she said yes.  How do you say yes to the man who sacrificed your 4 month old baby in order to survive?  She should have stabbed him instead of accepting his freaking proposal.

  • I'm sorry about your dog, Edie. I was thinking about you last night when I saw this link on the OnePrettyThing blog - http://twigandtoadstool.blogspot.com/2012/06/all-spunk-no-junkguest-tutorial-and.html.

    Good morning all.

[QUOTE]Aryn -- I'm guessing Sasha is experiencing some separation anxiety since the move?

<div>She's always had separation anxiety. It's severe enough that the medications didn't work. Poor thing. </div>
  • I hadn't heard that he proposed after the fact. I can't believe she said yes! I would have beaten the shiz out of him!
  • Maybe she'll show up on here looking for advice about her idiot Fl who ditched her son and her daughter during a shooting and we can set her straight.  $20 says he did proposed to try to smooth over his brutal reaction for the press.

I can't believe she accepted his proposal. She can do much better than this coward.
