[QUOTE]Elle you like Friends too?!? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. :) I was obsessed in college. . . hell, I still love them and have a tendency to relate stuff that happens IRL to situations that occurred on Friends. Also, Bren -- you were a Christmas baby?? So cute :) I love the stocking thing! But did you mom really not keep it? WTH?

She really didn't keep it. She isn't around much so I have no idea what happened to it! She got rid of my baby blanket too :(
I am a Christmas baby :) hence the illogical love for all things Christmas.

LOVE friends. I still catch myself watching re-runs on TV sometimes, even though I own the whole series.
I have a couple of friends who also love it. We manage to find a Friends quote that relates to just about everything.
I can't pick one, are you crazy?! I love Halloween and Valentine's Day, in addition to Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm also part Jewish, so I light candles for Chanukah, too, which I started a couple years ago. I've never formally celebrated the Jewish High Holidays, but I note them when they come along. I like the way the Jewish faith interprets the meaning of a New Year.

My first Christmas with my BF. It means so much to me. I can't wait to put his presents under our tree and wake up on Christmas morning all cuddled up with him.
Tell me a cute holiday story:
This is the how-my-parents-met story. My mom is a professional musician and was playing for an Xmas eve service at the church where my dad's family went. When the service was over, she was packing up and trying to turn off her stand light. The switch was broken, so she had to unscrew the lightbulb to turn it off. It was really hot, and my dad, sitting nearby, noticed she was having some issues making contact with the bulb, so he leaned over and unscrewed it for her. They started talking and he asked her to a New Year's Eve party some of his friends were having. It was their first date and first kiss at midnight. Awww.

Hahaha! I was going to write this. Inappropriate minds we have!
My grandmother regifted her AARP personal alarm keychain/flashlight to me and my sister. She spent a good 10 minutes explaining how we could use them if we were in danger, including a demonstration of how we could turn it on, then throw it off to the side while we run away. "The rapist won't know whether or not to chase you or the alarm!" She was SOOOO proud of those, and 5 years later, I wish we had kept them.

Tell me a cute holiday story:
When we were little, we'd wake my parents up at like 4 or 5 in the morning to open presents (after they had been up all night wrapping and putting the presents under the tree to make us think Santa came). So one year, my mom put the ocsillating fan in the middle of the hallway and taped to create a barrier with a sign that said "Do not cross this line until 7AM" We actually listened and slept in the hallway until 7. LOL.

I didn't even get a chance to show her the ring - she tackled me with a hug and knocked me over and started giggling. Yep, she was pretty excited.
