Howard Stern says shiit like that everyday about people. In fact he says even worse things. But he still has millions of listeners. I dont get the bfd about this.

Right. But Maher is on a paid network that I don't pay for. HBO is totally different than a News network that describes themselves as "Fair and Balanced". Bill Maher is not even someone on my radar, I could care less what he does or says.

The problem is Blue, that A LOT of people consider Glenn Beck to be news. A Lot of people.

I don't care who he calls fat or where he does it. I think he's a POS regardless. I posted this as a follow up to an earlier post and I think it's really shitty, regardless of politics, that he made comments about someone being fat (who is NOT fat) on his radio show, especially when he has teenage daughters who most likely feel pressure and judgement as most people do.

I NEVER once mentioned FOX News in my OP. I only mentioned that the only pewrson he happened to pick out of the whole PSA was a person in "politics".

Howard Stern is a person in entertainment, so while I disagree with some of his views, he is doing just what he ste out to do. Beck on the other hand aired his show on a supposed "fair and balanced" network and has proven himself to be far from it.

I really don't mind Shep Smith, I watch him regularly and O'Reilly I can deal with 50% of the time. But Beck is a total fool.

I think the same things can be said about a lot of the "shows" on CNN. They are what they are. Like Ricks said, take the Joy Behar Show. She says some absolutely ridiculous things on there.

I think since most people who watch the shows on Fox News are conservative, they dont care if its fair and balanced. Same for the liberals who watch CNN. It is what it is. I dont get why people care. He is not a reporter, he doesnt need to be fair or balanced. He is an entertainer.

Also he's leaving FOX soon to pursue other endeavors. FOX is more right leaning than the other networks but I think they are pretty fair. They took Juan when NPR let him go. I like Juan.

I just hate when people use guys like Beck and O'Reilly as their example of how Fox News is biased. I would take the arguement more serious if they talked about reporters reporting. But that is like saying ABC is liberal because of Oprah. It doesnt make sense to me.
