Good evening ladies

Good evening ladies! I'm hanging out by the pool again :D I think I'm in love with the 9-5 schedule.

I'm trying to decide whether I want to grab take-out for dinner or not. I technically have soup in the fridge I could have but I'm feeling lazy.

What are yall up to this evening?

Re: Good evening ladies

  • Hey!

I'm trying to convince H that we should go out for dinner.

Is my sig pic too offensive?  I decided I don't really want a big pic of H on TK, for no real reason.
  • Hi Aryn! Are you moved yet? I can't remember. :)

I am back from my long weekend in Utah. It was SO. HOT. I'm sure 103 degrees doesn't sound like a lot to you being in North Carolina, but damn. Compared to the high of 50 degrees here, 103 felt like hell. I had fun though!

Ordering in Chinese.  That's my evening.

Mica, OMG.  Hilarious.  ETA: I dunno, I don't think it's that offensive.

  • Woot!

I wish I had a nearby place to order in Chinese.  My old place is too far away, and I haven't found a new place.

Mica, I think your new sig is hilarous.

Erin, if it makes you feel any better I have been enjoying (but not really) 90 degree whether and I still think 103 is hella hot.

  • Hello, hello!

I'm up to just about nothing tonight. I've been munching on delicious chocolate chip cookies all day, and now I'm not all that hungry for dinner.

    Mica, I don't think it's offensive, I chuckled :)
  • Mica, I guess only uptight Asians would find that offensive. I'm neither uptight nor Asian so I think it's kinda funny.

Erin, I think 103 is still effing hot. I just saw it's suppose to be that hot here over the weekend and was thinking I'd have to leave the pool by noon so I don't die. And yes, I moved in on Thursday.

Hmm, I don't know if there's a Chinese place by here. There is hibachi though...
  • Mica I think it's really funny.

I just ate some dinner and am sitting on the couch dreading moving.  I started P90X today, after doing 30DS last night, and my legs are hurting.  Then I also decided to cut the grass today which is a work out on its own.  It's getting down to crunch time before H comes home though and I don't want to be the fatass wife when he gets home.

  • How are you liking it, Aryn? Sitting by the pool sounds really nice.

You guys are making me want chinese, but I have stew sitting in the crock pot at home.
  • I can't get takeout where I'm going (too far into a rural area) so I'm enjoying it while I can :)

Love the new sig pic, Liesel!  Your bouquet is gorgeous, too.

  • Bay, are you going on vacation or moving to a more rural area?
  • Erin, moving.  This weekend.

  • Thanks, Bay! A friend of H took that at the ceremony and just sent it to me. That bouquet was SO heavy, I mean I had cramps in my hand all day, haha.
  • I'm loving it so far. I don't think I realized how stressed I really was until I got here and my biggest concern is what time the dog walker will be there to walk Sasha. It's pretty nice. And I like getting home and heading to the pool. I like to pretend I just do that for the internet access (I don't have it set up in my apt yet) but I would be here every day anyway.
  • That's one thing that sucks about living in a more spread out area - not many options for food to be delivered.
  • Bay I think I missed it- are you moving into the family house?  Did that all end up working out?

  • I think the sig pic is hilarious, mica.

Last week of my night class! woohoo!

  • Beachy -- yep.  Aunt C pulled through.  It's a temporary solution, but the plan was always to do a trial separation, so at least I'm not locked into a lease, it's month-to-month, in town, and the rent on the place is dirt cheap.  There's a washer and dryer, too.  I'll be closing off the top floor of the house and just staying on the first floor, probably won't be there for more than a couple of months while H and I continue counseling, but I figure within a few months I'll know exactly how things are going to go.  This way I'll get a little space and perspective.

  • I'd love for it to be only 103 here.  LOL.  It's forcasted to be 111 for the rest of the week :-(

I'm having my old roommate over for dinner tonight since H is out of town.  It should be fun to do the 'roommate' stuff again.

  • Musu, YAY!!!! I bet you're pretty happy about that!

Bay, I'm glad to 'hear' that the house worked out after all! And glad that you'll finally be able to get some space to think a little more.
  • That's awesome that she came around Bay.  Have you guys started your counseling?  Or just tell me to STFU if you don't want to talk about it or already have more than enough.

  • I'm very happy to hear all of that, Bay!

Aryn, so are you in Raleigh now and all moved in?
    image
  • Aryn, where did you move to?  I live in Raleigh, and there is an amazing little hole-in-the-wall Chinese place right near where I live.  It's the best I've ever had.
    image
  • Oh yeah, Beachy.  Prior to April, we were going twice a month, now we're up to once a week.  Some weeks are productive, others, not so much.  But that's pretty normal.  That's how it goes in my solo counseling too.  Somedays you come out feeling like a million bucks, somedays you come out feeling raw.  Progress is progress.

  • Well that's good to hear Bay.  Hopefully things become easier or more clear for you both once you're living separate and getting your own time, whatever that decision ends up being.

  • Bay, that's great to hear!

Musu, I always loved the feeling of a class being over, haha. It's great that you're school offers classes in the summer term - very few law schools that I've looked at offer summer programs.
  • I did move to the Raleigh area. I still have some boxes I need to unpack, mostly clothes, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Lauren, what's the name of it? I'm too lazy to drive further than the shopping center across the street but it never hurts to know where I can find good Chinese when I'm more motivated.
  • haha all day I have been thinking of maybe ordering Chinese Thursday for dinner...you ladies helped me decide to definitely do it!

H is in a crappy mood.  Apparently he had a crappy day at work, came home to his new computer charger delivered from UPS, only to find out it is the connection in the laptop that is screwy, and then proceeded to tell me the two packages of chicken I bought sunday smelled funny.  So he threw them out...and then stomped around and eventually made himself steakums for dinner.

even though I was planning on going to bed early because I have a work conference tomorrow, I definitely think i will head up early and relax and read....get away from mr cranky pants for a while.
  • thats great that you are all moved, Aryn. Have you and FI officially split up? Sorry if that is really intruding but I remember you saying you were pretty sure you were going to when you moved.

  • Well I'm in a little bit of a dilemma now. I accepted admission to one law school, paid the deposit, signed a lease near campus, was all ready to go. Now I just received an email offering me admission to a much higher ranked school where I'd been waitlisted. I really want to go to the best school I can get in to, but there's not much time left for me to sort it all out if I were to go to the better school. Then I get an email from another school offering me a large enough scholarship that the total cost of that school over three years would be less than the cost of one year's tuition at the school I'm currently committed to. Ugh.
