Chels- try not to worry about it too much. Well- get pissed off and then get over it. 5 days before our wedding we had an additional EIGHT people tell H's parents that they were coming, that includes one family of five. They didn't bother RSVP'ing, they show up late to every family gathering, and they showed up late to the wedding I guess also. Rude assholes, H was livid and was thisclose to telling them they couldn't come.

Anyways, I am hoping I get some news today of if I get a promotion or not. Fingers crossed!

ooh, I am super excited for our farmers market today.

My work announced that they had partnered with local farmers, bread stores, organic crafty type places etc...and that every Wednesday we would have a farmers market at our learning center just for our employees. I was super excited, but kind of afraid it wouldn't get enough support to last all summer, but they announced this morning that over 800 people attended the market and made purchases so it's a done deal, we'll have it every Wednesday. I'm pumped!

Dmills, that sounds fantastic. I keep telling myself I'll make it to a farmers market. This weekend it could happen! My favorite part is just walking around looking at stuff, and samples if they have them- like fresh made hummus. Yum.

Morning Ladies!

Chels- dont sweat the small stuff. Everything will be just fine. Remember we already figured out you have weird guests, so this is just par for the course. Relax and try to enjoy it!

My allergies are killing me too, Claritin-D was on the menu this morning as well as allergy eye drops. I could barely open my right eye this morning.

Hopefully all goes well today and we have a well manicured lawn when I get home. Mark that off my list of crap to do. Then this weekend we have a guy coming to look at some wall damage and wallpaper removal in an upstairs bedroom. I'm in this get crap done mode!

Our work starting the 29th to Aug 31 is letting every other person leave 3 hours early on Friday. So me and the other chick have to work out which Fridays we want to leave early.

jenna, last week, I just bought produce, but one of our company nutritionist sent out an email talking about how amazing some of the artisan breads were, so that's on my list for today. They have some local cheese shop places, too. I'm gonna be in heaven. Michael is out of town so I don't have to cook dinner...tonight it'll be fresh veggies, fruits, cheeses and breads!

This was suggested to me by my doctor because my drainage actually started affecting my ear. I also do Flonase at night.

You do have to get the D from the pharmacist.

My venue was awesome, we had 4 noshows and since they have a restaurant downstairs the guy told us to come back for dinner some night and we ate two meals and took two meals to go.

Ok so I have a question...and this might be a brief P&R because I have a meeting in a few.

When/if you get those dumbass emails that you know are a hoax, do you just delete or do you actually respond to people that they aren't legit? I've always just deleted, but I get them all the friggin time from just a couple of people. I don't want to seem like a diiiick because they're family, but sweet baby Jesus, they make me crazy. I got a petition this morning because ZOMG the FCC is going to ban all pastor/minister/religious programming from television and radio!!11!!

Chels--it definitely happens. We sent in our massive payment to the venue and sure enough within 2 days we had 5 people tell us that they weren't coming. It was so frustrating. Nothing you can do about it but walk around your house and flick off the assholes and shout at them when they aren't there. 3 days though, how exciting!!

Jenna--I have a massive hummus craving now.

My allergies have been really bad this week. I need to suck it up and go run this morning before it hits 95. Now that wedding is over I officially need to get into training-mode for my half. Realistically I doubt that happens before the honeymoon though

Oh and I get my hair cut today! I am very excited about it.

<div>ha ha I feel like this with driving in general. When the light turns green that means you can go. Quit playing on your phone and pay attention. This especially bothers me when I'm in a turn lane, and the light is only green for about 20 seconds and the asssshole at the front of the line just sits there for the first 15 seconds. Good morning, ladies.

You're so close, Chels! Time to cross off the details that only you will notice from the to-do list. And relax about the last minute no-shows/changes. I had a friend call me the morning of our wedding asking for an invite. I said ok, why not, since we had room. Whatever (at that point).

Brandi - it takes a while for the melatonin to regulate in your system. One night won't do it. I do notice I have more vivid dreams since taking it regularly, and it does help me stay asleep better.

ETA: Oh, and a friend from OOT made a big deal about asking if her son and his GF could also attend (since they live an hour away) didn't show up. At all. And I haven't heard from her since (almost 3 years later). wtf.

Morning everyone. It is hot as balls already here, and I am not looking forward to this afternoon. Next week I am going on a work trip to the Southwest, and Weather Channel says it will be 111 most of the week. Too hot.

Brandi, I love melatonin. It helps me sleep straight through the night most nights, and if I happen to get up for the bathroom it helps me fall right back to sleep.

Usually I delete, unless it's the ones like "ZOMG A BLUE LIGHT BANDIT DON'T STOP FOR SOMEONE TRYING TO PULL YOU OVER" because actually listening to those could cause more harm.

But, the other day I got one from my aunt about something or other and I just couldn't handle it anymore. I replied with something short and (I thought) friendly (it had a SMILEY FACE, damnit) but still correcting the facts. She hasn't spoken to me since, I'm pretty sure she's pissed off.

We've got a break in the weather today. Overcast and it's only supposed to hit 85. Hallelujah! Maybe it'll help the firefighters. The fire near my parents's place is now 23% controlled. Yay.

Just found out last night that CO has 2 cities in the top ten for political ads this season. Colorado Springs market is #3 and Denver is #7. Gonna make for a loooooong time until November. The only other states on the list were Virginia and Ohio. We're all hosed! Thank God for the DVR.

Gonna have a rough day today, full of work and meetings. I'd better pull up the bootstraps and get my loins girded! Happy Solstice all!

DMills - I used to ignore them, but I when I got every single flippin chain email OMG THIS IS TRUE YOU HAVE TO READ THIS AND DO SOMETHING from my former SIL and my aunt, then I finally started replying with a link to Snopes.com telling them that they were being ridiculous. I get very few of those now (either they cut me off the distribution because I'm pointing out that they're forwarding crap or I'm just a b!tch. Either one is fine with me). A former friend actually emailed his congressman because he thought it was true that 'they' were going to start charging $.05 for every email sent - that's when I started replying and shutting down the BS.

November ones literally started the day after the recall election. Kill me now. Political ads should be banned. I never get my deciding informationo ff them because they're SO biased/skewed.

Morning! More cleaning and packing for me today. It's H's last day at work, so he'll be able to help me with this stuff from today on, which will be nice. It's raining right now, perfect weather for getting shiiit done in the house so I'm not tempted to blow it off and go to the beach lol.

I love melatonin, and agree that it helps keep me asleep. Not only am I a night owl, but I wake up easily too, so when H starts snoring I can just nudge him and fall back asleep easily instead of tossing and turning trying to get back to sleep the rest of the night. I'm of the belief that I just was not created to be up before the sun, no matter how early I go to bed, so at least now I get a straight night of sleep if I take melatonin.

Nope. Still sitting with stuff all packed up. Provided the fire calms down, Mom will be coming to Denver on the 29th. I'm trying to convince her to bring some knick-knacks with her to leave at our house for the rest of the summer, so if/when another fire breaks out, at least that stuff will be safe.

My mom totally does the chain email thing and crazy untrue news emails as well. I just avoid a lot of it. She also gets her email and FB accounts hacked and I ever wonder if it has anything to do with sending those... I think the FB hacking is just having too many game apps. I avoid pretty much everything chainy and gamey on the internet.

Lol, political ads will never be banned because TV and radio stations make a boat load of cash from them. I bet that's where the bulk of their revenue comes from especially since politicians spend ass loads of cash on them.

Seriously I've been a reporter for five and a half years now - if you guys think YOU get sick of politics? Omg. Bitchplease. I used to kind of enjoy politics. Now I really couldn't care less. But it's really helped me kind of shape my views pretty moderately. I always vote for both republicans and democrats. When I voted in our primary it bugged me that I couldn't vote for some dems and some reps.
