I don't get "meth-y" nor can I really understand what direction "meth-y" was going.
  • Me saying Platy's tongue freaks me out a little bit is no different than people telling Cew she needed to change her pic with the dark dark background because it looked goofy with her black turtleneck. Or someone telling me that my ass was too big for my dress. I'm sorry, but her sig pic is a little off-putting. That doesn't mean she has to change it.
  • I've been around these here parts (ha) for a little while, and I've seen a fair share of comments about weight that have really disappointed me. It's been a little while, so I don't remember a particular poster, but I recall comments about a "sausage waist," "dog face," and "porker fingers" (referring to an e-ring pic). These were over a year ago, and I certainly hope things don't regress.

  • Bec - I agree.  And I loved Cew picture when it was up because her eyes were amazing in it.   I just don't get where "meth-y" was going.  She might not have even been talking about how she looked - I have no idea what it meant at all, or what meth-y was referring to.

This could be an entire conversation about talking about looks and maybe not one person even actually talked about her looks specifically.

WHOA _ wait.  Someone said your a$$ was too big for your dress?  FOR REALZ?  That's f*cked up.
  • I think there's a difference in saying that Cew's floating head freaked people out or me saying that tongues freak me out (and I'm glad Capri didnt' get offended because I didn't mean it that way) and saying someone looks 'methy'. I can see a big difference in the composition of a picture (floating head) and actually commenting that someone looks 'off'.

Actually, just to be difficult, if I remember correctly, the poster ACTUALLY said Bec's ass was too big, not that her dress wasn't flattering.

Sausage waist was a joke I cracked about to girl whose mom wanted to wear a low-cut, too tight dress to the wedding. I told her to have her photog take shoulders-up photos of the MOB, leaving out the cleavage and sausage waist. She was stressed and I wanted to lighten the mood.

Sowwies. If someone else has made the same joke, I don't know about it.

Especially before giving crap etiquette advice (this has been happening a lot lately, where the # of folks saying "zomg!! It's YOUR day" almost outnumber the sane posters. It's worse when kristennumbers shows up with her BSC point of view to add to the mix).

  • I thought people were mean to one of the newer posters the other day. I can't remember her name, but she did an "ask me anything." She was just trying to get to know people, even if she didn't word it in that way. She wasn't being ridiculous or rude, and people were not very nice to her.
I also don't get why people don't like mrs.amy-whatever. Or rather why people don't like people that are "boring." Okay, you don't find them interesting. Does that honestly equate to dislike?
