Hairy Bridesmaid

I am sure this probably pointless, but you are asking her to change a part of her body for your personal pleasure and doing so could cause physical discomfort and issues she will deal with for months afterwards. If she wont change what you dont like, you'll just do it FOR her in the photos. THAT is what makes you a bad friend. For the record, this would completely end our friendship and I would burn that bridge in the most public blaze of glory possible. There would be no one that wouldn't know how shallow you are when I was done.

by your logic i shouldn't even have bridesmaids. god forbid i ask someone to wear a dress or look nice.
If this is what you think is an appopriate way to treat your friends, who are supposed to be your nearest and dearest in your life, then you probably shouldn't have any bridesmaids.  Or, just hire models.  They will look great in your photos.

WHY ARE YOU IGNORING ME?!  I'm the only one here trying to help you!
I know you're fighting against my cause, but I think you're funny so I don't really see a need to reply other than with a "hah"

I'm sure there are ugly models out there that aren't hairy. Hire them.

ETA:   But, who will determine if they are uglier than you?

Your logic has no logic. You said models would make you look bad, but now you are saying everyone is uglier than you.   If EVERYONE was uglier than you, then models would be uglier than you, so you could hire models.

Or, you know... you could actually give a sh!t about your friend.  Either way.

you're right, I forgot how beautiful i was for a second.

  • I'm totally on Kefryar's side here. This whole thing is getting way out of hand! We are talking about armpit and leg hair!! Shaving that off is not a drastic and permanent change here! Geez! IT GROWS BACK!!! It will be back within a week. She's not asking for her to loose weight or anything!

No one is putting themselves in the bride's shoes! And everyone thinks she is going to lose a friend over this?? Do you know what kind of relationship they have? No! So no one knows that a friend will be lost. Only she can judge that! Everyone is being way too sensitive about this.

In all reality, thanks for the input. While I am still grossed out by hairy pits, I might take some things into consideration and just burn all of the pictures featuring her armpit hair.

  • kefryar, when you shave your pits, do you use soap or shaving cream/gel?

Honestly, if you are so stunningly beautiful, why do you think anyone will even NOTICE her BMs armpit hair?  Won't the shining light surrounding you blind everyone to anything else but your beauty?

If you had a GM with a beard? Would you tell him to shave it off? IT GROWS BACK. What if I wanted all my BMs to have bald heads? IT GROWS BACK. What if I dictated everyone had to have uber short nails? IT GROWS BACK. Wax their eyebrows? Get a spray tan? yada yada yada

Lord brides need to calm their tits about the personal appearance of people they invite to their wedding. The only person's body you have a right to control is your own. Let other people be, stop worrying about their choices and you will have a lot less stress.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT. Can you normally see a man's armpit hair if he is shirtless? Not so much.

(Can't decide which shirtless man to post. Google shirtless men for yourselves.)

I'll let you know when i photoshop shirtless ryan gosling into all of my wedding photos

Get off your high horse! Seriously!!!! Lord knows if you were in this situation, you would totally be asking your bridesmaid to shave.

And actually all of our GMs are going to be clean shaven and a couple of them have a goatee. They don't care because yes IT GROWS BACK! But it is also the NORM for a man to have facial hair. Yes, I said it! It's the NORM. It's not the norm for women to have armpit hair.

You damn well know that this....What if I wanted all my BMs to have bald heads? IT GROWS BACK.... is going WAY too far.

Having UBER (whatever that means. That's not in my dictionary. Anyone else knows what that means?) short nails is not a big deal. Waxing eyebrows and getting a spray tan....as long as the bride pays for a spa day! Woo hoo!!

This damn horse is really comfy. And no, I really wouldn't ask. I only had a MOH and I didn't even tell her a dress color to wear, let alone what style her hair was, the length of her eyebrows. I have no idea what her body hair looked like.

Seriously...uber? I mean yeah it needs an umlaut but I don't know how to type that on my keyboard.

And if anyone told me to get a spray tan, I would tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine. Love me, love my pale ass. And since H has had melanoma, I think paleness is highly underrated.

Please don't ban kefryer.  This troll brings some funny.
Shhhhh don't use the T word. I swear the TK Gods have an alert the tells them when we use the T word and they come running with the ban hammer.

Also, I just love the thought that asking someone who never shaves her pits to break out the Bic will result in anything but an eyeroll and a firm 'no.'

because God didn't think some things through.

like why a woman has to pee on a stick for a pregnancy test, but men were given the penis to point.  Seriously.
    This is amazing!

  •  have you guys even thought that this will take away from the bride too? Her guests will be noticing and coming up to the bride asking her why her bridesmaid didn't shave? I'm that's something she doesn't want to put up with on anight where she just wants to dance and celebrate.
