Here it is! After my bridesmaids vetoed my favorites my consultant pulled this one from the window and we all fell in love. I ordered it in ivory and love it even more than the white. Everyone says it will be beautiful with the fur lined satin cape and truffle and champagne colored bridesmaids dresses this December!
I purchased my dress from a Plus Size only bridal shop here in Sacramento. You can't take photo's until you purchase the dress. This is due to the dresses not being mass produced.
Ho-chi-ma-ma!! So many beautiful women in beautiful gowns!!
I have attached the pic of me in my gown. Please ignore the all the wrinkles in the dress and my hair all a mess, lol.
Believe it or not, I got my dress off Ebay from one of those Chinese manufacturers. And then I read some of the horror stories here on The Knot after the fact. But, luckily for me, my gamble worked out and I got a dress I love that fit me perfectly right out of the package (I had sent them my measurements to customize it).
I absolutely love LOVE this dress! Where did you find it? I have seen it on a few "online" stores. I am afraid to order from there, in fear that it wouldn't fit right.

So I got my dress for free. I like it but don't love it. My grandma cried and I am on a super tight budget. I always wanted to try on the dress ckfargal has. Anyone have advice on how to bling up my dress, short of a belt.

you might be able to have a seamstress add some bling to the pickup points or across the band at the top.

I really like your dress! Do you sew? We have a place here called fabric depot. They have tons of beaded appliqués that would be super easy to tack to the top and side of your bodice. You could even get smaller ones and tack to your pick ups. Hope this helps
Also, @coxjc I am not advocating to sell your dress or not wear it. But, if you really don't like it, consider looking on the used dress sites. There are some plus size gowns that sell for only a couple hundred dollars, particularly Davids Bridal dresses. You might spend more money trying to customize a dress you don't really like than you would just buying something you really do like.

Here it is! This was at my final fitting tonight. It is a David's Bridal gown. It originally had a lace beaded strap over one shoulder that I had removed so that I could add sleeves. The sleeves are just pinned on the dress in this picture, but they will be permanently attached. I don't want to show my arms and boleros just make me look like linebacker! I also had a corset added as I am two sizes bigger on the top than my bottom and this was the best way to get a good fit. I finally feel like I had my "bridal moment" tonight. Thank God. It has been a long, long journey. :-)
Mine is a size 20 from David's Bridal with no alterations except the bustle. I am wearing a fit and flare petticoat, a Raggo high waist brief girdle, and a Rago Waist Nipper. Good undergarments really help to firm you and smooth you. My undergarments took 4-5 inches off my waist. I am so happy with my dress. When I went for my first alternations appointment, I didn't really like it. But when I went to pick up the dress, I was sure to have my undergarments on, my hair fixed the way I wanted it, my shoes, my jewelry, and my makeup done a little more fancy than usual. Making myself look the part made me love the dress. Still not thrilled about how I look when I sit down, but oh well. My wedding is next week!. Can't wait!

No problem Vickie
Chicago's dress is still listed on the Bonny website, so it's still able to be ordered. you would just need to find a Bonny retailer in your area.

Definately avoid ordering from one of the online knockoff sites. It is very rare that people actually have positive experiences with them.
