CONFESSIONS

Re: CONFESSIONS

  • @queenofhearts1728 - I take her about a block away to a little grassy area (she won't poop on concrete) and then back. It takes about 10 minutes in total, which is nothing, but it's soooo early and dark outside, I hate it.

  • so... a lot of people wanting a job change right now? I totally get it! Guess it is just that time for people! Good luck to everyone with their job situations!
  • @bethsmiles, wait a minute, someone blew up at you?

    Shame on your co-worker!

Also, I have another confession. I really want a kitten. Reeeeeeeaaaally want one. To the point where I went to the animal shelter and played with some. Came THIS close to adopting one. But I am so many kinds of broke I don't even know what to do about it right now, and I am actually allergic to cats. Started getting all sneezy and unable to breathe in about 20 minutes when I was playing with them. But gosh, I love kittens.

@Amapola14 own being a bitch! There are definitely times when you can overreact or not have the appropriate filter (guilty) but I agree that I would rather be confident than a doormat. I will tell people how I feel about something or about them, and if they don't like it, too bad so sad.
@queenofhearts1728, haha, I try to, but I seriously have no sense of when I'm going too far now. I grew up in a rather verbally abusive home - even when genuinely joking around, it was always rather mean-spirited. I have always made a HUGE effort to not be mean in any way, no matter how I'm feeling, but that makes it extremely hard to even have my needs met, so I do try to be more assertive. But then I am and I feel like I cross the line more often now. I just have no idea where the line actually is, KWIM?
Isn't he cute! I want one just like this!!!

    AWWWWWW. Right in the feels
  • @lmhollister, I'm sorry all the feelings are bringing you down! Hope you feel better very soon.
  • I confess that I've been eating all the things at work. And I don't care.

I confess I hate my job and I really want my recruiter to get her shit together so I can get a start date and leave this place for good.

I confess I've been moody and distant all week and pissed off at BF and everyone else for absolutely zero reason.

I confess my house is a mess. It's frustrating me and adding to my general moodiness and yet I can't seem to find the time or the will to clean it up. I just want it to clean itself.

I just have a lot of emotion right now.

Bolded is why my BF and I discussed getting a housekeeper for awhile. We never went through with it, but we always fought about whose turn it was to do what chore or if one of us was in the mood to clean and the other wasn't, it was a whole lot of 'BUT I DON'T WANT TO RIGHT NOW....' toddler-style whining lol.

  • Off to stuff my face with all of the food.  Everyone admitting they have been eating nonstop made me hungry, and thankfully, its lunchtime!

    back in an hour :)
  • Haha @Ampola14 - I love that GIF.

  • I also admit that I am not doing my Chemistry homework like I am supposed to be doing... I blame NEY :-P
  • @Swazzle I feel you on the morning puppy duty. Right now I get up at 5:30 to take the dog out and feed her so I have enough time to get ready and leave for work at 6:30. Stupid bus schedule... This is why my new job needs to start...cause then I won't have to be up 3 hours before work and I won't have to plan for a 2 hour commute. BF does a lot though...he takes the pup to my parents house on his way to work and he lets her out at noon and picks her up and takes her home.

  • @lmhollister -If I could put numerous emjois on here right now to express my feelings towards you I would but instead I leave you with this:

Thanks! I hope so too. I have major stuff I've been trying to get resolved for forever re: new job start date and old apartment shit and it's just bringing me down lately.

Even though October has my birthday in it and Halloween, November promises so many more great and fun things.  My husbands birthday, a weekend at my coach's house in Yosemite National Park, Thanksgiving and big events.  Also its the month before Danish Man and I leave for Denmark.  Usually time flies by for me, but I somehow see this week and the next few ones going be insanely slow for me.  Poop!

I confess that I don't think I'll ever leave my current position.  I don't hate my job and I like my coworkers and boss.  But there isn't want upward advancement here for me.  But the benefits are too good to give up.

I confess I fear that my house will never be done remodeled.  That what the Danish Man promised that we could get done will only be half done.  SO I hate that we bought a fixer upper.

I confess that if and when we have a baby that he or she will be living in a perpetual construction zone.  Which brings me to the confession that I'm not sure if I'm ready to be a parent and raise a child cause of the cost and time involved.  We're TTC right now and well its a crazy future.

    SQUEE!

FIW, my parents were constantly doing remodeling on our house while I was growing up. They bought this old, historic house that was a fixer-upper and always had a project going on in at least one room of the house. I loved it as a kid.

  • @motolyn your baby is going to be the fucking cutest thing evar
  • I confess that I spent 1/2 hour on the Verragio website this morning...

I confess I can't wait for next weekend to 1) see my mom 2) go shopping with her 3) take BF out to dinner with my parents and 4) BF get's my mom's diamond from her original e-ring.

I confess it would be awesome if my mom gave him a bigger diamond, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

I confess that I may pretend to still feel crappy tonight just so I don't have to do laundry.

I confess I spend more time shopping online than actual shopping. I hate dealing with people sometimes!

I confess I never want to leave my current position at work since I'm usually done by noon and dick around all day until 4:30pm.

  • I confess that I'm more than a little bit jealous and depressed that my fellow grad student successfully defended his thesis today. I can't even begin to do work right now.
  • I confess that I haven't applied to a job in two weeks. I just found out that I'm getting about 3.5k from a previous employer where I had a pension plan I didn't know about, which has made me even more lax about my current unemployment.

I know I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I wish the parents of the anorexic girl I'm babysitting for would be more forceful in getting her to eat. The fact that she is still steadily losing weight means that she's not eating nearly enough on a daily basis. Strawberries aren't enough of a snack!

I confess that I seduced BF into a little "afternoon fun" and it was spectacular.

I confess that I hope my sister and her boyfriend split up and she moves back to NY.

  • @motoLyn it's exciting you're TTC!!! it definitely sounds like a crazy time though. I wouldn't worry too much about remodel in regards to a baby. It might have to go a little slower, but I think you could make it work :)

@buddysmom80 I confess I pretend to not feel well to get out of things a lot =X usually making dinner, putting my laundry away, vacuuming..... lately, it's been working out. lol

@cschiano don't worry too much! i'm sure you'll do great. just practice your main arguments as much as you can.
  • I confess that I'm getting very impatient waiting for a proposal.

I confess that I haven't been working as hard on my thesis as a should be.

I confess that I really hate my job (because of my co-workers) and can't wait to get the hell out of the university I'm at.
Everyone always tells me the second you stop thinking about it, it happens. Also, the Sri Lankan guy at the gas station by my work said 5 years is the magic number. Believe in the gas station Sri Lankan's wisdom!

  • I confess that pert of me wants to strive to gain the highest education possible, and possibly stay in school until my mid 30's, but I also have a very strong desire to settle down and have a child. I hate that I feel I can only do one.

I confess that I have NO idea where Im going with my further education as well. I cant decide between Vet school, Marine Biology, or Aquatic Animal Science. They all can take me in such different directions, Im scared Ill invest a ton of time in the wrong choice...

I was talking about college/degrees with some people at lunch today. In my opinion.... go with whatever will support you best in life, but would also make you happy.  We were talking about so many people we knew who just got any degree because a degree 'would better your chances at a job.'

But 5 years means a good thing! Im rooting for 5 years for the both of you!

And as for the degrees, its a sticky subject. In a year Ill be done with my Veterinary Technician program and be able to be certified. Its a very hard job that I feel is just as demanding as nursing, but the average salary is 30k a year. I want to expand on that and find something that will pay the bills better as you say, but everything I love seems so difficult to do. I mean, how often do zoos hire technicians, or a marine mammal center needs a tech for their animals? Maybe I just don't know how to reach those jobs, and I just have to find a way regardless.

can you look into interning at one of those places? it would be a great way to test out the waters to see if you like it and make contacts in the field you want to be in for potentially better jobs down the road

Santa Barbara is so beautiful!!! Lucky :P

We met online actually. :) We were E-friends for about 6-7 years, and didn't meet in person until 2008. We ended up dating almost immediately after that.
  • I confess that, like so many here, I'm getting impatient waiting for a proposal, and I think it's because of 2 things: 1.) we are also approaching 5 years together, and 2.) last year around this time we had a fight over why everything was taking so long (from my point of view), and he confessed that he was thinking about proposing in spring 2012, but chickened out. Hard to work past that, and I think for the most part I have, but ...
  • @KeptInStitches that's hard :( I don't think I'd ever want to know if he was thinking it. It would probably turn me into a huge anxious mess.  It's good you're working past it though! And I think it will mean so much more when he actually does propose because of the things you've gone through to get there.
