Chrissy, glad they made it out. Sounds kinda fun albeit ridiculous haha. I've never been skiing or snowboarding either. My snow adventure sports experience extends to sledding in the ditch behind my parents' house, that's about it. Loved doing that though. Now I just go and throw snowballs at friends in Central Park while other people we don't know slowly trudge past us on skis. Never fails to catch my attention.

Any, I feel like I must be the only person left not on Pinterest.

Ha, Nicki, yeah I'm not ready to give it a chance yet. FI turned to me about 10 minutes in and was like "I don't wanna watch this, I'm gonna put on a regular SW rerun instead." I approved.

ETA: And congrats on Elliot's new job.

Daff, I forgot to say, that sucks about the couch. I hate when they respond to you and you think it's yours and then you find out they sold it to someone else.

Thanks Petal! It's nothing life changing, but it's full time AND NO WEEKENDS. we can actually hang out and stuff on weekends now. And he gets paid vacation. So we will both be bringing home money. I'm so happy, I did a dance. SW is so awesome. I want to hang out with Barry and have whiskey. I bet he has an awesome life story.

Have you seen the episode with Barry and his mom? Kills me.

I'd love to have a full weekend with FI. We both technically work Mon-Fri schedules but we haven't had a weekend together since Thanksgiving. Before that, they were few and far between, too, one or both of us worked the weekends. I hope that stops soon for him but I work a number of weekends in January. Le sigh. I was just grateful to have dinner with him last night.

Yeah, I'm sure I sound like an insolent brat, but I wish she'd told me there was another interested party before I got so emotionally invested. The very first question I asked her was whether it was still available.

Just so disappointed. I mean, this was a really high quality couch that was exactly what I wanted and the price was so cheap.

I get 1 night a week that H doesn't have to go to work that night. He works 6 nights a week. It's hard. Plus with me picking up a 4th shift each week I feel like I'm never going to see him.

Speaking of pinterest recipes - I've been collecting a bunch of them, and haven't really gotten around to making any of them but one (I don't really cook too much, not very good at it). I was almost done making this one, when I realized I know the girl who's blog it originated from. We were buds on my local board back when we were both engaged, and we're still fb friends. I was like, HEY, I know her!

I have a hard time watching Barry sometimes. He kind of drives me nuts.

I really don't get pinterest. I probably should get on that since I have recipes randomly everywhere and love to cook. I was so happy to be out of the restaurant business so I could hang out with Elliot more, but he stayed on weekends so it was tough. Teaching sleep schedule doesn't work well with night and weekend sleep schedule.

Exactly Petal. I know where they all are so if I need them it will be somewhat easy to find them. Instead of the cook book that I had started that had all the recipes that my grandma had given me written down in it that I lost when our kitchen flooded and I can't find it. At least I can still call grandma and ask her what they are.

Jill, I don't cook often either. Most things I cook are from a box out of my freezer. I really want to start cooking more though. I always say that I will cook more when I have a kitchen that isn't so frustrating to use. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have the oven open up into the refrigerator was an idiot. It makes putting things in and taking things out of the oven impossible if they are heavy or awkward in any way.

Good evening! I kind of forgot about pinterest. I was pretty into it at first, but I got bored. It could be because the only thing I wear these days is scrubs, I don't cook, I don't have a house to decorate, and I don't really cook. My boards were kind of pointless.

I'm trying to imagine what you are describing C but my mind just won't go there.

I tend to cook the same things over and over. FI doesn't seem to mind but I feel like I need to expand the variety of my meals. I try to cook new things on Sundays when I have a little more time.
