  • CONGRATS LOOPY!!!!!! :)
  • Cute blueberry Loops, congratulations! :)
  • Thanks!

Hey Birdie!  How's the move going?  Are you and your H both working back home now?
  • Hello! :) The move is.. going. :) I'm in Indiana right now and he's still back in Kentucky. Suuuuuucckkkksss. At least it's only a 2 hour drive though. This first week has been kind of rough because I'm living in my aunt's house and trying to make dinner with the few old pots and pans she had. I'm going back to Kentucky this weekend and I'm bringing back a bunch of towels, pots and pans, food, etc. Hopefully that should make things a little easier.
  • Aw Loopy, Congrats!!!!

Good morning all. Today I am working and working on my grad school application.

  • Birdie - that will make things easier.  I'm still "camping" in the apartment.  I have an air mattress couch/bed and I bought a frying pan and a pot at Ikea.  I still eat out mostly cause I'm missing so many basics to actually cook.  By this time next week (well, Thursday night) H should be back with the truck-o-stuff so I'll be fully equipped by next weekend as we get unpacked and settled.

[QUOTE]Midge, you tell stories like that and I think you're 12.

Because of how I reacted or the fact my parents still treat me like a child? I admitted it was probably an overreaction. I'm pretty stressed out right now and done with living at home. I know everything gets under my skin right now with that. I'm aware it may be a tad ridiculous.

Congratulations Loopy! LTB - It took me a minute too.

Unless you think you'd use it, I'd sell it Habs.  Money is better than clutter.
  • I need to finish my FAFSA tonight.  I just finished registering for a full load for the fall.  Eek!

  • LTB - Gelish wrecks nails, but I've never found OPI shellac to.  I had super dark purple for the wedding and I loved it and I ended up picking it off at the end of our honeymoon two weeks later and my nail beds were fine, and I have terrible nails.

  • Good Morning! I have another fun filled day of stuffing about 3,000 envelopes at work...fun stuff let me tell ya!

  • I used the OPI Axxium, but my nails peel and crack a lot normally, so I may have handled it worse than some.
  • No actually, I didn't see an overreaction at all.  But yes, your parents treat you like a child, just based off of that statement alone.  I've never really heard other examples of your relationship with your parents.
  • Long distance high five!  You're almost done, though, right Bay?  God I have the worst memory in the world.  I think I remember you saying you only have a couple more semesters.

  • Yeah I had to buy a cheap pot from Walmart and it ended up being way too big. And the night before I had to cook something on the stove that required a pan to be covered. Well, I ended up having to use a too small pan and getting a pot lid to put over it. :) It worked, but I miss the ease of having my new wedding stuff.

Plus, I'm still fighting the pee smell, so that adds an entirely new element to my slight discomfort.
  • Habs I would sell it if it meant I could ride more.

  • Good morning!

Congrats Loopy! I'm so happy for you and your H.

Adamar, you reminded me. I don't know if I need to fill out a FAFSA or not. I'm not taking out any loans, but I don't know if my job is considered "financial aid" or not. I've never filled it out married, is that harder?

  • I kind of agree with Stacks here, Midge. Have you ever lived on your own? Even in a dorm? I can't imagine still living with my parents at 25. That would make me pull my hair out.
  • Yeah, I know my parents treat me like a child, hence why I am done living at home. Just done. I have never lived outside of the home. Ever. 37 more days!
  • I loved shellac. I ended up taking it off, but it didn't do any damage to my nails at all. I have terrible nails, but that stuff was great.
  • Birdie - pee smell?

  • Anna, they didn't give me jack shiit after I got married.  It's not any different to fill out except I have to include H's income.  They seem to think we're rolling in the dough now.  I'm hoping I get a little more once I quit my job.

I know, and I can't wait. A certain friend of mine keeps telling me I'm going to desperately miss living at home and I want to tell her she's crazy. I'm sure they'll be things I'll miss but overall, getting to live my life the way I want to is going to be WAY better than any of those things I'll miss. I was at FI's apartment by myself the other day for a few hours, cleaning organizing and doing some laundry. I freaking loved it.

I went to the local college, known for it's high percentage of commuters. Even if I wanted to live in a dorm then, it would have been almost impossible at the time because of how close I lived and their limited number of dorms.
