I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton
@Blue@ollie08 And @irishdreamer - since @Blue said I have to - I'll be in Florida in October... not planning on doing much while I'm there 'sides gettin' hitched and all )
I'm in the process of reworking part of my roadtrip because there's a concert in VT that H really wants to go to but it's a night after we were supposed to be there. Ugh!
Unrelated: I texted the owner of the shelter a little bit ago and I'm anxiously awaiting an update on Star. H said there are a lot of people interested in adopting her which makes me happy and sad. Happy because she deserves an amazing home but sad because I really want her.
@Dignity100 I will be in Orlando on Nov 1 (or maybe that whole weekend? I dunno, for Halloween Horror Nights, it's a big deal!) But really, I'm only an hour away, so if you need some escape, we can make that work
@swazzle Yep, you better have time for an NEY FL G2G. Kthx.

Now I want to go to FL.... we were thinking about going to Paris in October but flights right now are still really expensive. Le sigh
I've been in meetings all morning. Life is really boring post wedding, I did order thank you cards this weekend and I'm in the long process of changing my name... Yay I like my new married name though.
Last night FI and I drove up to Newtown to look at potential kittens. THEY WERE ADORABLE! Needless to say, they are currently getting neutered now and FI is picking them up Saturday morning. He is so excited. I haven't seen him this happy in a long time. He named one Arthas and I named one Big Ben who will be Benny for short. I'll post pictures later, work has been crazy.
We ordered Chinese food which was legit, the best Chinese food I had in a long time! After we ate, we went on Amazon and ordered all the things for the new kittens. FI is in the process of cleaning and disenfecting the cat room for the new kittens.
In WR news, my photographer got to photograph Alec Baldwin and his wife a couple of weeks ago and the Kardashians yesterday, my mom told me this morning she's so excited that someone who shoots celebrities will be taking her picture.
More WR news our menu tasting is on Sunday!!!! I'm going to eat all the things. Here's what we have planned for the tasting:
Hot Apps:
Fried calamari Shanghai beef skewers Fried Mac and cheese Steamed dumplings Seafood Stuffed mushrooms
Fried artichokes
Caesar salad
Penne marinara (we might change to penne ala vodka but I argued that we're not only having fruit and cheese display, hot apps and Caesar salad is pretty heavy that a light pasta and sauce course would be better).
Entrees: London broil Salmon filet with citrus glaze Chicken scalloppini Eggplant parm
Starch: Roasted shallot and rosemary mashed potatoes
I like this venue because if we hate everything that we try, we can just set up another tasting. I think though we nailed down our menu which will help since we'll order invites next week too.
@southernpeach89 I know!!!! I'll probably just try the apps because that's my favorite course in a meal and the salmon and eggplant parm. FI will try everything else, the food is his thing on the things to do for the wedding list.
Oh I forgot to add, FI and I are going to Florida in March. I think FI wants to go to Universal and Islands of Adventure, I've been to Orlando so many times that I'm up for anything EXCEPT Disney so it'll be a fun trip. My parents are spending the winter down in Florida so we'll meet up with them in Orlando when they work their way back north.
@peaseblossom55 Flights to FL are WAY cheaper. And you could come in November with @swazzle and hang out on the plane!
@buddysmom80 um your tasting menu looks AMAZING. Fried mac n cheese nom nom nomms

@Blue yes flight to FL are way cheaper, we are playing around with a few options for a quick fall get away. Paris may just be too expensive, especially since we just decided to green light some expensive kitchen renovations. Florida, Boston, and even a quick Cape May get away are on the list.
@peaseblossom55 boston was awesome when we went, but obviously I vote for FL I mean, doesn't it SNOW in Boston?

AW'ing some dresses! Here are the two dresses my FMIL bought. I hope she wears the first one for the wedding (it's navy in this photo but she bought it in silver). I liked it on her more (both looked great, just personal preference) and I thought it was more formal.
SITB: My mom got this dress too!!! But she got the taupe color! She looks so pretty

My mom wore this dress in eggplant for my wedding, she loved it and she looked amazing!

This is so funny. My mom looked at this dress in the taupe color. She is still considering it but is thinking she wants something long, so I found her a similar dress in gray at TJ Maxx that is floor length.
@Blue Hopefully it won't snow in October/November in Boston. We'll see we just got back from our honeymoon and we're going the Bahamas again in March so we'll see. I'd like to go to FL for Disney and then to Universal to get to the Harry Potter world.
LOL I love how that dress is so popular. I feel like my boss may be wearing this to her son's wedding in a few weeks? I can't remember. She showed us a pic, and it was really similar to that one though.
All this Disney World and combining finances talk has gotten FI and me talking... we've talked about Disney World and Universal for as long as we've been dating, and we've also talked about going to Europe too. After looking at our budget, we decided that Europe is the dream honeymoon, and Disney World will be the "safety" honeymoon. Now FI is cracking up about our first-world problems for picking a honeymoon venue. He just sent me this:
@Blue - I'll be in Orlando the middle of Oct - Disney makes it easy, so we will just be staying there. Fly in, have Magical Express pick us up, stay on resort property, have Magical Express (Tragical Express actually) take us back to the airport.
@Buddysmom80 - Happy 21st Bday (+ a few). KITTENS!!!!
Ooooh, go to Madison this weekend! The farmers market is a must on Saturday, and there is an art fair this weekend. I got the following details from a friends:
"The 35th Annual Art Fair Off the Square is located on the 200 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd and on Olin Terrace Walkway leading up to the Monona Terrace Convention Center.
Madison, Wisconsin
Saturday, July 12 (9-6) and Sunday, July 13 (10-5)"

So I read this and thought to myself, "That's not this weekend, it's NEXT weekend." WHERE DID JULY GO, ALREADY?!
