My FI is very vanilla, and doesn't like to try new things. Getting him away from the first position we tried and to try doggy style took 6 months.

As a somewhat outdoorsy person, I have always been strongly advised against this. Same idea as drinking ocean water--it ultimately makes you more dehydrated or something.

The anal thing...I'm not sure I would say no to trying it, but I think I'd have to be really drunk to relax enough for it not to hurt. I get those playtex "feminine wipes" from the "personal" section of the pharmacy in Walmart (essentially they're identical to baby wipes, I just like these much better) and I use those. It leaves me feeling cleaner than if I had only used a towel or paper towel. The added moisture makes cleanup easier.
