Chick goes: I'm back and need TONS of advice because I am marrying a guy I was just saying less than two months ago that I thought was cheating on me and now I am marrying in 3 weeks! Do you think my cake and punch reception is good?
Then we go: Are you sure?! You were just saying how bad the relationship was.
Then she goes: I am getting married because of a sudden unfortunate reason!
Then we go: Are you pregnant???
Then she goes: Noooooo....FI wants to change his name.
Then we told her how dumb that is then she was like, "Oh wait I am pregnant!" Then we called MUD and she started backpedalling.
Anyone? Did I miss something?
Totally off topic, but please don't use "go" when you really mean "said, wrote, posted". It's so high school! I cringe when I hear or read this grammatical error. I also hate "like" used as a verbal pause, but most people don't write that, thank goodness! I missed all the drama.
Well if that wasn't one of the pettiest things that you have written in awhile, I don't know what is.
Maybe I'm just weird, but I totally read that as a script from a teen movie or TV show. In my brain it's was a Winona Ryder from Heathers trying to tell a story in a typical teenage slang way.
Maybe it's just me. ::shrugs::
Haha @lyndausvi, not weird at all! That was what I was going for when I was typing it. I think everyone knows by now that I do not normally talk/type that way. The irony that it was called "highschool sounding" was not lost on me. Guess it means my tone was received as it was typed!

Not just you. Pretty sure that was a deliberate choice by Sara to write in a deliberately colloquial manner, which is, ya know. A thing that is Allowed. (I would argue encouraged on an internet forum labeled "chit-chat" but that is a separate dorky discussion that non-editors are probably not interested in).
What a shitshow that was. I can't remember who suggested bipolar disorder, but the suddenness of everything combined with the nonsensical lashing out and weird "jokes" actually made me think she might've been dealing with a manic episode. (Caveat: I am not a doctor, I am not a doctor, I am not a doctor). In which case I can only wish her the best and hope she gets help. Doesn't mean that whole thread wasn't hella irritating, though.
And just in case there is any confusion: people are allowed to express irritation, snark on bad behavior, and even write with "improper" grammar/usage. Of course anyone else is welcome to be annoyed with any of those things, but I can't help feeling that calling people out about any of them is wasted breath.
This, exactly. People make insane, wild decisions in manic episodes. Mine were usually shopping-related, though, not, like, actually life-altering. When you're in a manic episode, it feels like EVERYTHING IS GREAT NOW! EVERYTHING WILL BE PERFECT! and you make decisions accordingly. This is a good explanation: http://www.webmd.com/bipolar-disorder/features/bipolar-disorder-managing-mania
Not trying to diagnose the girl, just trying to express that she really, really needs to get help, because her behavior right now is not normal and could cause serious, life-altering consequences.
I'm rolling my eyes so hard over here I'm getting a headache. If you guys patted each other's asses any lighter it would be a wonder that any of you could ever even speak to each other.
Good gravy, this is just sad.
@pinkrevenge, I have had one sip out of my morning coffee so that went way over my head. That makes me sad because I usually don't miss things.

I'm going to start a pity party thread because everyone didn't like some of the things I said wehweh

Better get on that, @beethery! There are a lot of SS lately that may beat you to the punch!

Don't sarcastically refer to anyone as a peach either, it'll end up in reported posts. Then my loved ones might have to take legal action against somebody for causing my death by making me laugh too hard and subsequently choke to death on my food/beverage.

Is this a thing now?
To be fair, it was a small thing. And I don't think it was modded, just called out in the thread. It gave me a case of the eye rolls. If it escalates to "GettingStuckThere-itis," I'm SUING!

Yeah I saw people quoting her but her actual posts were gone.
I'm glad someone called this board out for being so mean. You all were terrible to me when I needed to vent about my issues. How dare any of you write to me and send me little gifts. The utter lack of regard for my, and other regs, well being is appalling!!!!

@jells2dot0 As an aside, how are YOU feeling? Last treatment go ok?
I'm glad being told off on the Honeymoon board last week wasn't the reason for her apparently epic sounding dismount.
I saw that and was very unimpressed with her. It's one thing to speak on it if you bring it up, it's a whole other to go "NYAH NYAH YOU HAD A PPD" on a thread where you were reviewing a hotel. That was so stupid.

I'm hanging in there! Just got to get through this weekend (when my blood counts are lowest). Patience is not one of my strongest attributes, so I'm going a little crazy!

Understandable and so happy to hear you're hanging in there! You're almost there - Keep up the good thoughts and vibes. You're attitude through it all has been inspiring!

@mrs4everhart posted a review of the resorts she stayed at. Not one word of the review mentioned a wedding or any wedding like festivities. BSJB immediately jumped onto the post to bring up the dreaded PPD topic.
