What happened to that crazy thread?

Re: What happened to that crazy thread?

  • What a shitshow that was. I can't remember who suggested bipolar disorder, but the suddenness of everything combined with the nonsensical lashing out and weird "jokes" actually made me think she might've been dealing with a manic episode. (Caveat: I am not a doctor, I am not a doctor, I am not a doctor). In which case I can only wish her the best and hope she gets help. Doesn't mean that whole thread wasn't hella irritating, though.

And just in case there is any confusion: people are allowed to express irritation, snark on bad behavior, and even write with "improper" grammar/usage. Of course anyone else is welcome to be annoyed with any of those things, but I can't help feeling that calling people out about any of them is wasted breath.
This, exactly. People make insane, wild decisions in manic episodes. Mine were usually shopping-related, though, not, like, actually life-altering. When you're in a manic episode, it feels like EVERYTHING IS GREAT NOW! EVERYTHING WILL BE PERFECT! and you make decisions accordingly. This is a good explanation: http://www.webmd.com/bipolar-disorder/features/bipolar-disorder-managing-mania

Not trying to diagnose the girl, just trying to express that she really, really needs to get help, because her behavior right now is not normal and could cause serious, life-altering consequences.
  • Well, and here I become the bad guy.

I'm rolling my eyes so hard over here I'm getting a headache. If you guys patted each other's asses any lighter it would be a wonder that any of you could ever even speak to each other.

Good gravy, this is just sad.

@pinkrevenge, I have had one sip out of my morning coffee so that went way over my head. That makes me sad because I usually don't miss things.

    Coffeeeee get in my belly!

To be fair, it was a small thing. And I don't think it was modded, just called out in the thread. It gave me a case of the eye rolls. If it escalates to "GettingStuckThere-itis," I'm SUING!

    Holy shit, really?!

Her account is deleted.  I hope that wasn't the actual reason she left TK ><

  • I'm glad someone called this board out for being so mean. You all were terrible to me when I needed to vent about my issues. How dare any of you write to me and send me little gifts. The utter lack of regard for my, and other regs, well being is appalling!!!!
@jells2dot0 As an aside, how are YOU feeling?   Last treatment go ok?
  • I'm glad being told off on the Honeymoon board last week wasn't the reason for her apparently epic sounding dismount.

@mrs4everhart--I missed that thread. That'll teach me to not frequent Honeymoon.

I'm hanging in there! Just got to get through this weekend (when my blood counts are lowest). Patience is not one of my strongest attributes, so I'm going a little crazy!

Understandable and so happy to hear you're hanging in there!  You're almost there - Keep up the good thoughts and vibes.  You're attitude through it all has been inspiring!

I saw that and was very unimpressed with her. It's one thing to speak on it if you bring it up, it's a whole other to go "NYAH NYAH YOU HAD A PPD" on a thread where you were reviewing a hotel. That was so stupid.

  • @mrs4everhart posted a review of the resorts she stayed at. Not one word of the review mentioned a wedding or any wedding like festivities. BSJB immediately jumped onto the post to bring up the dreaded PPD topic.
