Re: What happened to that crazy thread?

  • So anyone notice on the side thingy that tells about new members that BSJB is "welcomed aboard" again? Am I seeing that right?

    ETA: Clicked on it and now username is rmadridgirl? Maybe I am wrong. It's the same profile pic though. Also, I am not tagging that incase I am wrong.

    In the back of my mind I was waiting for her to make a new username and reappear pretending to be someone different. I don't know if I should find this entertaining or disturbing. I want to laugh.... and yet I'm worried...

    You're not alone. That's exactly what I thought of.

  • Yeah.  I lurked a lot before I started posting without ever logging in.
    I did this at first too, but then I started logging in so I could keep track of new posts and which threads I'd already read.

    @AddieCake--recap.

    Chick goes: I'm back and need TONS of advice because I am marrying a guy I was just saying less than two months ago that I thought was cheating on me and now I am marrying in 3 weeks! Do you think my cake and punch reception is good?

    Then we go: Are you sure?! You were just saying how bad the relationship was.

    Then she goes: I am getting married because of a sudden unfortunate reason!

    Then we go: Are you pregnant???

    Then she goes: Noooooo....FI wants to change his name.

    Then we told her how dumb that is then she was like, "Oh wait I am pregnant!" Then we called MUD and she started backpedalling.

    Anyone? Did I miss something?

    Totally off topic, but please don't use "go" when you really mean "said, wrote, posted".  It's so high school!  I cringe when I hear or read this grammatical error.  I also hate "like" used as a verbal pause, but most people don't write that, thank goodness!
    I missed all the drama.

    Well if that wasn't one of the pettiest things that you have written in awhile, I don't know what is.
    Maybe I'm just weird, but I totally read that as a script from a teen movie or TV show.   In my brain it's was a Winona Ryder from  Heathers trying to tell a story in a typical teenage slang way.

    Maybe it's just me.  ::shrugs::
    Me too - I read it as irony with a delectable ferrous twang of snark. Made me smile.
