False... if it was a clique, we'd never let anyone new in. But amazingly enough, there are women who come on this board, interact fairly regularly, get to know people, and become a part of the COMMUNITY. The fact that you don't feel like part of the community is on YOU, not US.

I like this board. Yall arent going to scare me away. I'll be back tomorrow. For now I have to go see my man. I need to go question him tirelessly about his career and beg him for expensive gifts so I can determine if he's worthy of marrying me or if I need to replace him pretty soon. Seriously, these women have been there for me through so much - they helped me get through my BSC until I was engaged, helped me end that emotionally abusive relationship, got excited when I started dating BF, and now they're excited for us to take the next step, when we're ready.

When I showed up here almost 4 years ago, I was some BSC little newb and didn't think anyone would look at me twice. And now I have real friends from here that I've actually met in person. And I've even been to one of their weddings.

Just because you don't get to be BFFs immediately doesn't mean it's a clique. It means you have to be a patient little thing and be a reasonable human being.

I just joined the board when I got engaged in September. I'm "new" and I was welcomed with open arms. Because I wasn't an asshole to anyone and didn't lash out at people. It's not rocket science, it's an online community that has its quirks and rules just like any other. I came on here to help plan my wedding, I come on this board to see if I can help people out who need it. Somehow it wouldn't be too helpful if only the people who weren't engaged yet were giving advice to other people who weren't engaged yet, it's good to get different perspectives, especially of those in happy, healthy relationships that are clearly succeeding.

@rn1989, I'm confused. When did anyone treat you poorly? By saying that it's sort of strange for you to run in calling us bitches and then ask us to squee for you because you might get engaged? That's illogical, and you should know better. Also, what, praytell, should I be jealous of? I'm on this board because I CHOOSE to be. I don't envy that you might one day "get to leave"...in fact, that day cannot come soon enough!

Also, @LifeIsAJourney, if Tiger and I don't belong here because it's more appropriate to be on a board for marrieds, does that mean that you don't belong here because it's more appropriate for you to be on a board for immature, lost, materialistic women who are desperate to get married and are irresponsible parents? I'm sure there's a board on wedding bee that fits that description...why don't you go find your soul sisters?

Huh? Everything was fine. There was a little "dudes, get over yourself" moment, and then I figured it would be cool. But no! Total Freak Out!

For the record, I still think I'm a newbie. I think I made my first post in April? or March? random questions about how ladies liked their rings, because I started looking with then bf and I was going BSC over what type of setting to get (low? high? plain? pave? AHHH!). Everyone was really nice.

And then I started posting more regularly, and I had a few moments where I spoke carelessly, and got called out for it, and I felt awful.... and then it was okay. The ladies told me "chill. it's okay. we've all had moments." And so I kept posting. And everyone is pretty nice to me, except when I say stupid stuff that SHOULD get called out. But, since I've been around for a little bit, I know that the "call out" is said with love.

As were all the initial posts to you two, even though you didn't see them that way.

So, basically... chill out. Don't call us names. Just say.. "woa! I freaked out! sorry." And then come back tomorrow and hang out with us and share your excitement/ questions.

I think we all (or at least most of us) had moments where we got called out for being BSC or just saying something careless but like @lilacck28 said we didn't flip out, we acknowledge what others said and moved on from it.

I mean I said I didn't agree with @lacqueredlover at the start of this thread but you didn't see her flip out and yell about how I don't know her life, did you? You can disagree someone and still like and respect them.
