No what is sad is seeing what started out to be a sweet girl posting with us starting a lot of threads about how she is a having relationship issues. Then finding out she rushed to get married because all her negative thoughts were really just her hormones talking.

True story. That is what is sad here.

This morning my FI said something about it being December 17th. I remembered that we are getting married on October 17th next year. So we had sex like grown ups to celebrate and then went about our day. I imagine we will continue doing that on the 17th of every month if we remember that it's the 17th until our wedding and thereafter.

Granted that's how most days start so there's that.

Well I was wondering why this thread was so long.

But guys, only one person here has ever had to deal with hormones. Everyone else here is clearly a robot.

Anyhoo, we haven't done anything other than a hey, we've been married a month. Our 6 months is right after Christmas, planning on a trip right around then. Already forgot our dating anniversary. Would probably forget our wedding anniversary except it's two days after his birthday, so if I forget I can be like oh heyyy I'm planning one big special thing!

The thing with anniversaries is people tend to put soooo much pressure on making it "special".

Well DH don't need an excuse to go to a nice, expensive restaurant. We do not need an excuse to say "I love you". We do not need an excuse to give flowers or have sex or go on a trip.

I have say some of our best sex was spontaneous. Some of the best special dinners were "just because" or last minute. Our most romantic days/nights were not planned.

Trying to figure out something do for your monthiversary sounds exhausting.

It honestly concerns me that you can't own up to your bullshit. No. You caused a lot of concern when you posted about your super quickie marriage, after admitting to some mental health struggles and also suspecting your felonious FI was cheating. We were worried about you and your motivations for choosing to so what you were doing.

You took offense to that concern unjustly and flew the fuck off the handle. You then pretended to be pregnant (or you really were, but said that you made it up? I can't keep up with your web of bullshit), started attacking people for expressing their concern and/or disapproval, and immaturely took your ball and went home, while asking a mod to delete all of your content. THAT is how you pissed off a lot of people.

I've expressed bafflement before about why people put so much emphasis on specific calendar dates. It's one thing to maintain a certain frequency of date night, but to insist that you celebrate/get married on a specific day? Why? Is your SO not just as fun to be with on the 18th as the 17th?

I really, honestly, think I'm beginning to see a correlation in poster maturity and whether or not there's an insistent attitude about the importance of calendar dates. Thanks for the data points.

Reading comprehension is another pet peeve of mine, but we shan't go there now.
