Well, it says he told her/them 2 years before being engaged... they were married in 2008. So that means he probably told her about it in 2006, right around the time of the Oprah show finding out and him facing criminal charges. He probably didn't have a choice but to tell her, since he was courting her and looking at felony molestation charges, so she would have likely found out anyway.

Ya know TLC cancelled Honey Boo really fast after it came out that Mama June's boyfriend had been accused of molesting one of the other girls when she was a kid.

And yet...no word on TLC cancelling 19 Kids and Counting.

Because remember America, you don't just have to be white, you have to be white and have money (and some political clout) to be protected. Plus that whole "christian" thing they have to throw around.

Regardless of age it's not ok to touch someone's breasts and genitals without their consent. And if you're 14 and they're I dunno 9 (I actually forgot the ages of the girls) you are the elder in that situation and they cannot give consent properly. You are in a position of authority. It's the same as if a teacher sleeps with a student. Even if they're of age. The teacher is abusing the position of authority.

No, no, no. What I'm saying the reports early this week didn't really say there anything other then Jim-Bob turning in his kid for sexual conduct and nothing really happened as a result.

It was very vague. As I said before Jim-Bob thinks holding hands is a sin. So it could have been just Jim-Bob finding Josh making out with a teenager and he called it molestation. Turned in his son to scare him.

Now that the police reports have come out we know a hell of a lot more then we did a few days ago. So comments made on Tuesday would come across has insensitive since there wasn't really any details when they were made.

It took them a week or two to cancel Honey boo. Give it a few days. If they don't cancel by the end of next week then I think people should raise hell.

I believe so, yes.

Plus, Amy's family doesn't subscribe to the same religious beliefs as Jim Bob and Michelle. If Amy had been molested while over there I can't see her staying quiet or her parents not raising hell.

I was hoping someone would create a thread about this. I feel so sorry for those girls. Kids are naturally curious about their sexuality, and when they are shamed about sexuality, it doesn't end their curiosity. I think that's why he did that to his sisters.

I thought it was absolutely reprehensible that Josh takes a stance against gay people, considering his past. (It would be inexcusable to have that stance against gay people even if he weren't a creep). The most inexcusable behavior is that of the parents. If I had children that did that, they would have to live with another relative, and undergo serious and extensive counseling and whatever the courts decided as punishment. JimBob may have brought his son forward, but he did it well after the fact and to a friend who would not take any steps to make sure the girls were safe, and Josh was punished or received treatment for his obvious problems. I think these problems could all have been avoided if JimBob and Michelle allowed their kids to explore the natural curiosity of the human body through education and understanding. I mean, hugs aren't even allowed, for Christ's sake. Human beings need to feel close to one another. To deny that and shame physical contact of any kind, will make a child be discreet about their curiosity, and confuses the hell out of them.

I think this is also why Josh works to promote gay people as the antichrist. If you judge someone else so vehemently, usually you are projecting, and trying to take the attention from yourself. I knew the family had secrets, I am sure we will hear even more, because of the way they were raised. I hope some of those kids will fall away from their family and their teachings and be able to live normal, unstructured, happy lives.

I am not condoning what Josh did in any way, I'm just saying, I could see it coming from a mile away.

I don't think it's as bad as you would think it should be. They live in very different world. Josh had youthful indiscretions. He went to a manual labor camp. God saved him. Life is all good because we prayed.

I was thinking of the Bates too. They are a lot like the Duggars, but some of the girls have come into their own a little. One of them had a portrait taken while she was pregnant and she was wearing.... get this.... JEANS.

Some of the girls have gone to "college" too. Granted it's not accredited and their majors were like music, teaching or some other job acceptable for women. But at least it's more then the Duggars.

You know, I tend to think God appears to people in different ways, and that's a conversation between you and Him, and none of my business. I also believe in treating other human beings with a modicum of decency, even if you disagree with their views (to a point- degradation of others, homophobia, sexism, racism, and honor killings and rapes have no place in my credo).

But damn, I wish an incarnation of Jesus would come down right when this family goes on stage to make a further statement, and starts beating the shit out of Josh and his parents. If anyone was deserving of a stoning for hypocrisy, these three are it.
