Yeah, that's what the lady with the company our EAP is through said, but I'm not really feeling the love after the meeting I just had with my supervisor : /

ETA: And with that, I am out to try and run off my frustration.

My thoughts, too. It's. awesome they want to work with you, and see you improve as an employee.
  • Little story - today at work we were having wireless internet issues and 2 guys were at my desk discussing whether to reboot the system and the risks of that happening and how they would get the internet running again once they did it. It was like listening to the scene in jurassic park when theyre deciding whether to reboot the power and I commented on that and the one guy goes "thats odd, nedry just popped up on my computer 'ah-ah-ah!" and we all started laughing hysterically. This is why I love my office :(
  • So back in December my mom ordered FI an AC/DC monopoly game and tshirt for Christmas. The tshirt was backordered and I had to call them and change it for a different tshirt. I got the game and shirt back in December.

Last night I got an email telling me the monopoly game shipped so I was like "wtf?" and emailed them back asking basically that. They told me to send it back and I'd get credited for it. But I'd have to pay shipping/any charges at customs. I was like yeah, this is bs.

So I called them just now. Apparently I didn't get charged for the first one and because shipping back is a pain in the ass and they screwed up, I get to keep the game. W00t.

I love me some Nickel Creek.

(and, if it's not, that probably won't make sense to you.)

  • I love Nickel Creek! and I'd be majorly jealous, Koda. Rhon, what are they about? genre?
  • Koda, you sound like my H. His old cell phone was a piece of crap and he wanted to shoot at it with his nail gun.  He usually finds some way to get "revenge" on his old electronics.
  • I was just looking at my DVR and I pretty upset that there is no Vampire Diaries or Secret Circle tonight!

Hot Yoga (effing pissed that I missed it tonight because our meeting with a realtor went long)

It is sad that three items are tech-related.

<div>I was mad that Netflix only had season one of BBC's Sherlock Holmes. And Amazon doesn't have it for sale either.  It seems like Netflix is a bit of a crapshoot if there's something you're looking for specifically.  It's nice to have though; I'm glad they figured out it would have been a bad idea to raise prices.</div>

  • Oh, also, I am not good at adopting shows...Shows I have tried to watch but given up on: heros, weeds, dexter, true blood, chuck. Shows I have never even watched: boardwalk empire, mad men, walking dead...I am sure there are more. The biggest issue is that we don't get HBO and I refuse to watch illegal downloads but also because I barely watch the shows I do watch, maybe over the summer I will make a list of things to watch...maybe some of them will be on netflix.  I always hear you guys talking about certain shows and wishing the I watched them.

    A comfy pillow somewhere quiet

Yes, I really cheated but it is what it is. I couldn't live without some peace and quiet time.

  • I really dont think I could live without music, tv, books or movies. I guess that answers stephs question and keeps up with the convo. I just love the world they create visually, audibly, mentally. I become very emotionally tied to songs, characters, actors, etc. Different strokes for different folks though, everyone has their differen tthings.
  • I still don't know who Adele is.

I watched the first 6 or so episodes of the 9 Lives of Chloe King on Hulu. It's so bad, but entertaining. I can't wait for Game of Thrones to start again. Right now we are watching TWD, Justified, and The River. Other shows we just catch on demand when we're bored.
  • Also- I cant imagine life without music.  I just cant.

I'm the same way, with movies and books. I don't think people really understand (except you, maybe) what movies mean to me, the way they transport me to a new place. Whenever I watch a new movie, I spend the next few days replaying it in my head from start to finish, absorbing more and more of it each time.

And with books, I pretend to be one of the characters. or just insert myself into the story and take over. And we all know that I get attached, and way too emotionally unbalanced when an author RUINS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER STUPID JEAN AUEL.
