@labro @swazzle sorry I wasn't trying to sound snotty about the furniture thing. I know that I did ask for opinions but I asked square or rectangle so I was really looking for opinions on that. For people to randomly stray and say round isn't really helpful to me if I don't like round. It would be like asking for an apple pie recipe and people saying "blueberry is way better, make that". I took the opinions into consideration and asked H what he thought and he said he doesn't like round. And I will be taking the majority advice about the wall hangings so it wasn't like a total fail.

@minskat30 aw man we have to be mortal enemies.... I was born in Minnesota and my entire family lives there. Go Vikings! :P P.S. When I first got my cat she was about 3 months old and the day after I brought her home I couldn't find her ANYWHERE and I was freaking out until I found her snuggled up sleeping inside the Packers football helmet we have on our coffee table lol

@Swazzle - Way to go with the gym membership! I know it can be scary to sign up, but you've already conquered that, so now all you've got to do is have fun! What classes are you thinking of taking?

Today is full of grading and writing lectures. Hopefully some yoga tonight...I didn't get to run yesterday because it was late and I was exhausted when I got out of class, so I need the workout today. I am dragging this morning--in need of more coffee and some good music, I think.

Also since we're talking football...YAY FOOTBALL! Not a huge pro fan here, but I love me some college football!

GO PACK! So excited for the game on Sunday. H and I are going to my BFF's new house (which we haven't seen yet) to watch the game. One of her H'S friends will be there, and let's just say that the guy is DRUNK every time we see him. So that should be interesting.

Last night we had the bbq pork sliders - SO GOOD! We also hung a new light fixture, which took about 2 hours (with me holding up the fixture while balancing on a ladder), but we did it and it looks great! Maybe I can convince H to take a break from projects tonight...

@swazzle - You can do it! I'm also at my heaviest and I think the hardest part is finding the motivation, so if you have that, you're golden!
@southernpeach89 - Sounds like a fun weekend!

@labro Not sure how that is backpedaling. I thought I was open to ideas but once I got them I didn't like them. So I simply didn't use them. I was nice to everyone and said I'd consider it, which I did. It's not like I was all "you guys have terrible ideas, you fucking suck". Not sure what the big deal is there. I get the feeling on a few of my posts that you just don't like me.

@untouchablets H developed a citrus allergy for around 7 years or so but it went away when he was in his early 20s. Apparently that allergy included watermelon and strawberries? You don't live in the Northeast, lol. I had my car keyed because I had Patriots & Red Sox stickers in my window and I DARE to live in New York. Also, they weren't really popular until they started winning, even in New England. I grew up watching them, because my dad was a fan, but my grandfather is actually a Giants fan (because they were good back in the day, and the Patriots didn't even exist until 1960.) They sucked for a REALLY long time. But there's this "Pink Hat" phenomenon - it happened after the Sox won the first World Series, and after the Pats started being really good - lots of bandwagon fans, and lots of females wearing pink jerseys/hats/paraphernalia that drives us REAL fans crazy. Also, with Deflategate and Spygate and all that other nonsense, and the fact that all they do is win, there are A LOT of haters out there.

So yea, FOOTBALLLLLLLL.

I'm in Connecticut for the day for work, and I'm annoyed because the department meeting I came for lasted all of 20 minutes. With literally NOTHING of importance.

So, I'll share this picture because it makes me happy.

TBH you DID backpedal. At first you were all - I don't care about their opinions. And then you went on to say that you took them in to consideration and blah blah blah. If you had stuck with what you backpedalled to from the beginning I doubt @Swazzle or I would've said anything at all.

And yes, you frequently say things which I find pretty questionable and grating. Not always, but not liking someone or liking them doesn't stop me from calling them out on it when I see it.

@GoldenPenguin - No one in my family gave a shit about the NFL until the Hawks started winning, and now their house is covered in the team's shit. It's irritating.

Last night I got home and my hyper dog had DESTROYED my yard. He dug a giant hole right in the middle of my islanded garden, and dragged boxes out of the shed that didn't get closed completely. So I'll be working on fixing that tonight.

Last night I had a work event all afternoon with lots of games and sports. I played a bunch of volleyball barefoot and continuously got my feet crushed, but it's not like that would have been prevented if I kept my flip flops on. Turns out I still don't totally suck at volleyball though, which is cool, haha.

We watched the movie Bad Words with Jason Bateman last night. It was a super good movie, and I totally recommend it. This adult man finds a loophole that lets him enter spelling bees for young kids, and basically is just an asshole the entire time. Of course there is the one adorable kid that he becomes friends with. You know. Super smart comedy, and I loved it.

My contribution to the football convo:

After spending the last 5 years not missing a game at my alma mater and last season H working for the local NFL team, it's really weird not having tickets to any games this season. H did get a part time job at the NFL team here, and he starts next week working games. But even then, I'm oddly apathetic and just looking forward to hockey starting in less than a month!

My morning started bright and early at 5:30 when my dog started pacing to go outside, even though I had gotten up at 3 to let him out. I drifted in and out of sleep until I had a horrible, no good, very bad dream which scared me wide awake. So, I made myself breakfast and lazed about, shaking off the bad dream cobwebs. I have plans to take a nap this afternoon and then go for my lady wax before meeting up with a new friend for a drink.

I'm still laughing at the video @goldenpenguin shared yesterday. Whine About It has quickly become one of my favorite video series and this weeks episode on Weddings did NOT disappoint! CLICK ME.

@alpacina grrr bad puppy! I'm trying to think of something you could give to distract him while you're gone so he doesn't go on a digging spree, but I'm at a loss right now.

I'm in a mood today --- one of my coworkers is the most entitled princess, I have ever met. She doesn't think rules apply to her because her dad is an executive. I take care of attendance for my department, so I need to know where everyone is if there is an emergency situation. So her boss has now asked me to keep a log of when she is and is not here so they have documented proof when they submit their complaints about her. So basically I get to babysit a 23 year old.... why is this part of my job!?

I wish I could say I'm having a good day but I'm not. I'm going back to work tomorrow and I'm so stressed and anxious about going back. I worry about people asking questions, worry about people trying to be helpful but making insensitive comments. So many things. I want to crawl back under my covers and hide. I know I need to get back into a normal routine though, and it will help time go by. I really don't want to deal with people yet. It's rainy and over cast here too. The amount of anxiety I have now is pretty ridiculous. I want it to be the weekend again. 3 weeks from today I will be taking and hopefully passing the exam. H & I realized last night next month will be 6 years together. Our plans for getting away are coming together as well.
