In what should paint a clearer picture without posting our entire menu.. My fiance and I are having a cake and punch styled reception, but will not be serving enough cake to feed each individual guest.
We will have pies of various flavors for guests for the hour between the ceremony and reception. There will also be a tower of cupcakes serving the guests who opt for this versus an actual slice of our cake. These cupcakes will be the exact same flavor as the main cake.
Half will have the option of a slice, while the other half will have the option of a cupcake.
Knowing our guests, we are aware that not every person will want a slice of cake or a cupcake. Has anyone else done this with their cake serving? How did it turn out?
