I'm going to delete these pictures later more than likely so please don't quote but H got an email at work asking employees with pets to submit a picture of themselves and their pets for a fun news letter the company is doing. I can't believe H is actually considering submitting a picture...he isn't much of a "joiner" for these things. He'll probably change his mind but if he doesn't here are my top options...which would NEY submit?

@wink0erin - Yes, from what I understand my company's typical policy is 3 months and then there's 6 weeks of something else and 6 weeks of something else but legally my company will hold your job for 6 months.

@swazzle - I think the snow one is most appropriate for the weather right now. When I posted the third one I thought of you and your perfect brows...you would want to attack my H's eyebrows with tweezers.

@labro - I actually have H and Raj in synchronized poises from that day (looking left, looking at me, looking right)...no idea why.

I have a snow day today!! I'm mostly excited because now I can stay home and be warm but I'm also *slightly* annoyed because my classes were supposed to start speeches and now it's thrown the whole semester's schedule off! I feel like this happens every semester

But since I have the day off I can catch up on some grading and cleaning (my apartment is such a disaster right now!).

A small AW: FI was officially accepted to University of Utah's molecular biology PhD program! And they offered him a $3500 signing bonus if he chooses to go there which would definitely help with the move!

He still has 2 more interviews left though so no decisions are being made yet. He'll interview with Denver and Rochester at the end of the month. But honestly, I think we are going to end up moving to Utah which is equally exciting and scary!

Yesterday was lovely. I got my hair colored, and it turned out awesome. She missed a few greys last time, so I was happy to see those got snagged this round.

I read over half of Me Before You last night. I have a feeling I'll be done in the next couple of days. But omg, I didn't really know what it was about when I bought it. If I had known, I probably wouldn't have grabbed it, but it was so highly recommended. And now I'm hooked!

Sorry I am being a horrible friend today and not participating. Thank you all for the best wishes. I got a copy of the contract for me to review and I did get an increase of 1.5%. Everyone else in the office is getting 5%. So all morning I have been doing research and gathering info so I can try to negotiate a higher increase. Wish me luck as this is the first time I am doing something like this. I hate adulting, it makes me want to vomit!

@caseface5 good luck!! Write a letter requesting the raise, and include all about the times you have gone above and beyond and why you should now get a raise for additional work you have taken on. Last time, I asked the director of sales to look mine over and he changed some wording, and I got it!!

OMG so excited. My plant manager just approved me work from home 1 day per week when I return from maternity leave! In the past, people have bitched if someone works at home because they are just jealous that they can't. So he's like this is different-family comes first! I feel so relieved. Just emailed about 14 more daycares lol.
