Re: Tuesday

  • @alpacina that tree is so pretty! What kind is it? Looks like a cherry blossom

    @wink0erin oh you better hit up that pool! Nobody knows you, nobody cares what you look like, if they do screw them! Glad you got some unintentional cleaning done.

    @speakeasy14 Thaaaaaat's adorable

    Also, HORSERADISH HUMMUS? DEAR SWEET JESUS I NEED IT.

  • @audrewuh - I think yours is the first text I've ever received from someone in the stirrups. I thank you for that :lol:

    Re: IUD. Take something an hour before you go. Plan to go home and relax the rest of the day/night. Measuring hurts worse than the actual insertion. Are you getting Skyla, Mirena, or Paragard?

    @AlPacina I want your tree.

    @wink0erin haha I love your response to what you're wearing

    @audrewuh  so I think I'm the most recent to have gotten an IUD.  Feel free to pm or text me.  I will say that the insertion was a bitch, but I haven't had any issues since.

  • @wink0erin - It might be one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. My only mistake was bringing a mere 2 tablespoons of it to work with me today. Note to future self: 1 container is 1 serving.

    @wink0erin You are hysterical! For once I am NOT wearing the same outfit I always wear. ;)

    @audrewuh Good luck at the IUD appointment! It's not the same for everyone, but I'd still plan on going home afterwards and relaxing...because who doesn't deserve an afternoon off every once in awhile?

  • @swazzle but you did your coworkers a favor because 1 container =

  • @wink0erin - Your picture is my favorite! Your eyes are gorgeous.

    @jenna8984 - I do not know trees at all, but it definitely is exactly what I'd picture when someone says cherry blossom to me. There are going to be flowers EVERYWHERE very soon.

  • @audrewuh - Did you see the movie version of Dark Places? I haven't watched it yet but it's on my Netflix list. It was probably my least favorite of her main 3 novels, but I still loved all of them, so that's not really an insult to it, haha.

    I'm sorry that you're having a rough day! Text or message me if you want. I'm dying to get through today as quickly as possible.

    @swazzle - *jaw drops* Next to that fountain? Omg, that's gorgeous!

    Anyone start watching House of Cards S4 yet? We only got through one episode last night before I had to go to bed, but I'm so excited!!! It's gonna be so dramatic!!!!

  • @audrewuh hahaha a bunch of people at my office have said the same thing about soap on the car during the storm. Apparently Keller was pummeled with hail-- good stuff. In my neck of the woods it's just a deluge of rain. There was some hail earlier, but it was tiny. I really think Bridezilla is a glutton for drama if she's stirring the pot the week of her wedding. It's ridiculous. I'm glad you stayed out of her drama with co-MOH--it's the last thing you need this week! Please text me after you're sung in! I want to hear all about it!

    @AlPacina OMG that tree is stunning! You live in a fairy tale!

    @wink0erin

  • @AlPacina - I was so obsessed with season 1 and got halfway through season 2 but then life happened and I had to pause my marathon and I still haven't caught up. Maybe that should be next on my list!

  • @alpacina lol I would be dancing and screaming and like nudging him because all he does is stand there and the girl would look at me like

    @wink0erin I'll share a pic of the first page I color! I haven't done anything with it yet but I can't wait to!

    @audrewuh I wish I could remember the name of the ale, I'd drink it forever and ever!
  • @swazzle @speakeasy14 and @labro thanks! I will make sure to schedule it on a day where I can be lazy and in pj pants all day. Doc said to take 3 motrin before I go in. He's strongly recommending the mirena for me.

    @AlPacina I actually stumbled across a review for the movie and it had a lot of negative things to say about it. I think the ending is changed? I know there's a somewhat major plot point that is left out. It's an indi film, so it's not a high production like GG was.

    @TwoDimes If you and Al were meh about Dark Places I'm kind of nervous to read Sharp Objects. I think it was @eilis1228 that was telling me that one really stuck with her for a while? I have to moderate how many violent books I read/how much true crime tv I watch. My dream factory has an overactive imagination!

  • @audrewuh Yeah, Sharp Objects is the one that stuck with me for a while. @AlPacina and I have talked on here about how good it was. Super creepy, but REALLY good! It's my favorite Gillian Flynn book.

    @audrewuh Just curious why the Mirena? Is it an insurance coverage question? If you're going the hormonal IUD route I would always go for Skyla over Mirena. It's smaller and it's intended for women who have never had children (insertion is slightly easier). It lasts 3 years instead of 5, but still. Just wondering I guess.

  • @swazzle - I really hope you get back into it. Season 1 is still my favorite, but every season has been completely different so far, which I love. This season already seems like it's gonna be so crazy!

    @TwoDimes - I'll let you know how the movie is when I see it. Sharp Objects is DARK, but if you are even slightly into that kind of stuff you should love it. I could not put that book down, and I definitely read it in one day.

    @audrewuh - Sharp Objects is pretty messed up. Like, definitely one of the most messed up things I've read that wasn't straight up horror. The only thing I can think of that was worse is Perfume. But it's also so different from anything else, which is why I liked it. It gave me some dreams afterward, for sure.

  • @labro for me, my dr recommended Mirena because of my migraines.  I think the other option was the copper one (I don't remember the name).  They didn't give me Skyla as an option at all though.

    See this is SO STRANGE to me? Do you think it's because it's newer on the market? Skyla and Mirena are essentially the same thing other than the size of the IUD and the length of time you have before they recommend getting a new one.
