Attention @jenjen047, are you still looking for a great travelzoo deal to book on short notice for a honeymoon? I saw this deal today that looks amazing! It's for the Azores Islands of Portugal. It's on my list of places to go, because H has ancestors from there. Anyway, they are having great deals this spring, flying out of Boston!!

  • @Swazzle I like spinach if it's in a dish but not on it's own. Same with broccoli- and I literally just started eating broccoli a few months ago lol.

I can't think of any other ones that I like. My parents used to try to force me to eat everything on my plate when I was a kid and I never liked most of it. I wish I did- it would make life easier and I'd have healthier options. I don't know why my taste buds hate so many things!

  • @twodimes That is EXACTLY where I was supposed to be going in May. My mom (travel agent) had the entire thing planned out and I was 5 minutes from giving her my credit card information to book when I said to myself "Hmm, I could be 6 months pregnant in May- I should take a test just to be sure." And suuuure enough, I was right! So we did not book it (god forbid I was having a rough time like coco and unable to go!). I will dream about the day I get to reschedule this.

@lavenderfields13 I think you and I have talked about this before, but I barely eat vegetables either. I will eat the following items if they are roasted in olive oil and garlic: zucchini, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli. I will eat corn on the cob. That's it. We basically have meat and pasta 5 nights a week.

  • omg this suuuuuuuuuucks. My commissions processing is about 50% of my job. I'm the only person in the whole company who knows how to do it and it's extremely complicated and complex. Took me about 15 months to completely learn all the intricacies and stop making stupid little errors.

I need to write up procedures/ documentation for the entire process so that someone else can do it while I'm on leave. I'm going to have to use the instructions to teach the person, whether it be a current employee or a temp.

I just spent 3 SOLID hours working on the instructions and I got done steps 1 & 2....of 26!!!!!!! Good grief this is going to take forever!!

  • @jenna8984  *hugs* I feel you. Idk what I'd do if I had to explain my job to someone else. Likely if I have a kid we'll do same as I'm doing now, have one of the other office workers come cover once or twice a week.
  • @jenna8984 - Oh nooooo! That sounds absolutely miserable. I had to do something similar (not nearly as many steps as you) for the new person that started recently and she's never even looked at the packet I made :expressionless:

  • @swazzle ugh that sucks! At least I know this will all be used because it's impossible otherwise. There are 15 files that all get treated differently before they are processed and if you miss just one item on 1 of the files the whole thing is screwed up!

  • @jenna8984 That really sucks! This is why at least one other person should know how to do a job. I actually have someone that works for me that I really don't know exactly what she does lol. Her job is a little different than the rest of my staff. At least with this new system coming in soon we'll all be cross trained. I feel bad for my manager when I go on leave someday because he already has so much on his plate.

Yes- we have talked about our dislike of veggies lol. I wouldn't even eat any of those besides brocolli - and so far I'll only eat in pasta. I pretty much make a variation of pasta with chicken whenever I cook. It was driving H nuts and he said at lunch time the guys at work would ask him "so what kind of chicken with pasta do you have today?" haha. This joke was even part of our wedding vows- our officiant included a line for H like "do you promise to always graciously eat the Pinterest chicken and pasta dishes Lavender makes for you" lol

  • @lavenderfields13 That's what makes me so mad, is I've been saying for years that I should have a backup in case anything happened to me. I want to train someone on all this as a permanent employee/ backup and they are basically telling me that everyone here is already too busy and we can't afford to hire anyone new. So their solution is just for me to get a temp. I'm like that's fucking bullshit that I'm going to spend so much time training someone this valuable information and then they are just going to walk away and I'm going to be left with no backup again!!

  • @jenna8984 Ughhh ya that's bullshit. At least make sure you keep that document forever so you will never have to write it over again!

  • @twodimes - Thank you so much for thinking of us! I will check it out and talk to H! That looks gorgeous.
