Dammit - is the freaking quote button broken again or is it that I can't quote because when I am at work I can only get on here using IE? (and the knot does not like IE. Then again, who does?) Now I have to try to remember everything. I only pay 5 bucks for shellac soak off. I used to go to a Vietnamese salon and they charged 20.00 to put it on! I go to a salon now and have the best nail person ever. She spent an HOUR AND A HALF on my pedicure last time. It was heavenly. And...we can converse easily because we speak the same language. I hated sitting in mostly silence at the other salon while they all chatted in their foreign language. Appliances? bought a freaking ton from Lowe's before they closed in our town. (cliff notes on that is my small little town has 4 prisons and the powers that be counted the population in the prisons when convincing Lowe's how it would be a great idea to build a store here. I adored that store but it closed about 4 years ago. We are stuck with Menard's now and to me that is a first world problem. We have never had any issues with Lowe's when we needed repairs for our appliances. They rock. We bought all new kitchen appliances and washer/dryer when they were going out of business. That day everything was 50% off and it looked like Black Friday with a line around the store. With my military discount I ended up with 55% off everything. I still dropped 6 grand but I got some great stuff. You will pry my Kitchenaid dishwasher from my cold dead hands....seriously. We are going bed shopping tonight. I am beyond ecstatic. We had been thinking for quite some time that we would go with a Sleep Number but I just can't justify the money and when I really started researching, their customer service really seems to suck. We will get something else nice but not a sleep number. I hope we find what we want because I want a new bed nowwwww (said in my best Veruca Salt voice).

My clementine had seven, SEVEN seeds in it this morning.

  • @labro - that is just bullshit. You didn't buy Halos or Cuties did you? Those are always seedless and all I will buy.

@kmmssg Normally that's what I buy but these are Jaffa brand from Costco. They haven't been an issue until this one! It's so unacceptable!

  • @labro - well, I would let Costco know they need to deal with issue or a little girl is going to put her stuffed horse's head in the CEO's bed. BTW - can someone tell me why they thought that made a good commercial? I get the connection just don't think it was appropriate for a kid's commercial.
  • As it's nice weather out today, I decided to wear a cute sun dress that I have. I totally forgot that the skirt rides up quite a bit when I sit down, so now I'm going to be self-consciously adjusting myself all day.
I'm wearing a skirt and sandals! Yay to warmer weather!!!

The wiper switch in my car broke last week so now the wipers just continue to wipe-endlessly. To make them stop the fuse has to be removed. It's cloudy out now which means I'll have to put the fuse back in. It's a messy, dirty, yucky job and the stains never leave my (NATURALLY) long fingernails, so I'll have to cut them.

On the plus side, we're having Fuzzy's catered in today so I won't have to leave for lunch. On the downside, I hate Fuzzy's.

ETA: I did order the replacement switch, it arrives next week.

  • I had to sleep in the guest room last night due to a case of pinkeye (thanks, third-grade tutoring client). I'm contagious till I've used eyedrops for 24 hours. The eyedrops were only $7.00, fortunately.
  • I went to Whole Foods at lunch and bought some yummy yummy red and black Panda licorice because I got all excited that they were gluten free.

Except when I went to eat them after my lunch, I noticed the package said gelatin free. Not gluten free.
  • My baseball team is terrible. So, so terrible. We haven't won a game yet this season (we're 8 games in) and we are currently losing today's game. Usually I'm a big fan and I'm used to us being bad. But not this level of terrible.

Sadly I even had mildly high hopes for this season. Now they're just getting completely stomped on.

  • Well, we are back home and have not purchased a bed yet so that's a bummer.  We will shop more next week.  The good new is Vikings comes on in 1 hour and 38 minutes.  I better go put my jammies on and get comfortable.  That's my show.
  • The BBQ store closes at 5pm, so we haven't been able to buy our new BBQ yet this week.

  • The Bears schedule came out last night and we play in Indy in October. But that might be too late in the season to go to my sister's summer lake house after the game.

  • Today is April 15 - but taxes are due on Monday, so I have to work over yet another fucking weekend.
  • I'm never home to watch Vikings and they don't update Hulu till way after the end of the season.

  • I'm never home to watch Vikings and they don't update Hulu till way after the end of the season.
That's my show and I thought it was pretty anticlimactic this week.
  • Two things. One, DH wants me to wait for him to watch the new season of Kimmy Schmidt, but he's been working so much the past couple days that we haven't been able to start yet. Two, we decided to cut sugar out of our diet the week after I raided the local Girl Scout Cookie stand, so now I just have a box of thin mints staring at me from the top of my fridge. Woe is me.
  • My introductory price for xfinity's dvr package is up, and now my cable bill is higher.  But I don't care.  Of course they got me hooked on the ondemand so I'll just pay it since I don't do anything else with my life BUT watch TV.

  • I have to be up in less than two hours, but there's a fantastic thunderstorm tonight and I'm awake listening to it.
  • This first-world problem is going to make me look like a total ass....

I quit my job about 2 months ago because the inheritance I received from my dad (he died unexpectedly in November) was so large I was able to GTFO of a job that was severely negatively impacting my life and focus on the Master's program I started back in August. Now I'm bored. :-/

I ordered Chinese food for lunch, and the restaurant forgot the hot mustard. Also, one of these days, I'll figure out not to use chopsticks when I order something with a lot of sauce.
