TK has decided to make it look like I'm logged in... but then when I open a thread, try to post, etc., it tells me I'm logged out and won't let me do anything ever. So, hopefully I'm not writing this for no reason and it actually posts!
Hiiiiiiiiii! I've missed you guys! I've tried to lurk and keep up but it's really annoying when you want to respond/comment and can't so I kind of gave up on it.
Not a ton going on here! @GoldenPenguin and @csousa1 are visiting me for the weekend and we're hoping the weather cooperates so we can get our butts to the beach. @Hummingbird125 and @buddysmom80 are going to give me a nephew and a niece in the next week and I could cry just thinking about it! And that's really it! OH I leave for Hawaii in a week from tomorrow! CAN'T EVEN WAIT. And I got my hairs did last weekend and I'm super blonde -- and then got super burnt at the beach Sunday so I'm like a red skinned, yellow haired freak at the moment.

I've been lurking the last two days because work is CRAZY busy. We have been doing interviews for my new boss for the past two days. I also have a severe sinus infection and want to die. I started antibiotics yesterday so hopefully I will start to feel better soon.
Cheer is insane! I can't control the little ones because I feel awful and my assistant coaches are no help and I want to scream.
I've been fighting to stay awake to watch the gymnastics, which has been awesome and I can't wait to see them again Thursday night!
Now I have to run off to a meeting, and then I have a person coming into train me on report writing. Then I have another meeting this afternoon. I just want to nap!!

Had a better sleep last night (still got woken up 3 times by the devil cat), and had a great 4 mile run this morning. I saw 4 bunnies and a turkey family, not bad for Boston!
Also I got my nails done yesterday. I don't feel like taking a photo of mine and uploading but they pretty much look like this:
Nothing crazy tonight, laundry and errands and I might start packing for my beach trip this weekend!

Tired. Did another weather watch last night. Have I mentioned I am sick to death of summer? Because I am sick. to. death. of. summer.
Monday night H put down 14 bags of dirt in the hope that we can stop the basement flooding. We found a couple of low spots in the landscaping. Then when we found out the weather service was forecasting up to 5" of rain in the 48 hours from last night through tomorrow night, we picked up 6 more bags of dirt, a tarp, garden stakes, and sandbags, and went to town on adding to our little "hill" and protecting our fresh dirt so it doesn't all wash out. It rained last night, so I'll be able to check the basement this morning - cross all the things!
The HC Veggie Gyros were pretty good, but even I found myself going "Ok, where's the meat?" which is pretty ridiculous when you know it's a vegan recipe going in.
Tonight is church - wish me luck!!! because I'm playing tired - and gaming. And severe weather. Again. Sick. of. summer.

@PamBeesly524 OMG a turkey family. I would have died. @labro and I thinki turkeys are hilarious! Also I love the nail color! I need to get my toes done.
@KeptInStitches We will take some of your rain. It has been so dry here and my plants are suffering.
Yesterday I got a good bit done. I baked a bunch of chicken and frozen it so I can use it in future meals without having to take the time to bake it and I just thaw it out. Then I made my appetizer for small group which was DELICIOUS!!! Everyone ate my beef stuffed crescents in minutes. DH was mad because he wanted extra to take home and eat. Too bad lol.
When we got home I watched Bachelor in Paradise which is such a hot mess but so entertaining.
Today I have to run some errands at lunch and tonight I'll probably go to CrossFit. I'm making chicken and rice casserole for dinner even though I'll be the only one eating it....DH has other plans.
So yesterday he decided to give his Mom a call and we haven't spoken to them since the incident. She of course answers like nothing is wrong and DH said we need to talk about everything before this weekend (he will see them at his grandparents anniversary celebration). So they are meeting for dinner tonight (without me and Callie thank GOD!) to discuss everything. He is going to lay it out for her and if she doesn't like it then tough luck. I'm perfectly fine with keeping them at a distance for a good while. I do not want to communicate with them at all but DH feels we need to be the better people and tell them how we foresee our relationship going in the future and if they want to be part of Callie's life...they will need to CHANGE a lot of things about their attitudes and how they treat us and our family. I'm proud of DH for doing this but I'm very nervous because his mom is a snake and I can totally see her trying to manipulate him into feeling bad. I told him last night he just needs to stand his ground and don't let her turn the tables. And if she does she is only digging herself a bigger hole. I think good things will come from his conversation.

@LIzzyTish88 I'm sorry you're sick. I've been fighting something too and it's just the worst. Why can't we be sick during the winter when it's more fun to snuggle under the covers?

I feel SO good today because even though I woke up three times last night, I feel like in-between I got some decent sleep. I'm waiting to see if the congestion comes back as the day goes on but as for right now, I only have a runny nose and I'm coughing but that's it. I really really really hope this is the end of it all.
Last night I was a total bum and watched silly girly movies. If I'm feeling better tonight I really need to get back on track with laundry and straightening up the house but I guess we'll see what happens.
Tonight H and I will cook and watch more of the Olympics. We are also still trying to decide what to do about the headboard. He told me last night that he wants to keep it and paint the wall. I'm not sure if he just needed some time to think about it, or if he's just saying this to make me happy. I told him I think we should wait 'till the weekend to make a decision.
Also, I forgot to share a picture the other day of H's parent's dog who we had over the weekend. He's such a needy little thing (whines if he's next to you on the couch and not right-in-your-lap), but he's pretty cute too. That water bottle was his favorite toy!
It should be a quiet day for me at work which will be nice - I'll probably read some more!

Good morning! It's really cloudy and rainy- not really complaining, since we need the rain. I've driven by so many yards that look so dry and all I hear about is how the farms need rain. It's true because my car is brown and even I can see dirt and grime everywhere. I almost got a car wash, but now the rain is taking care of it!
Last night we watched the Olympics! GO USA GOOOOOLLLDD!! My H missed the girls' gymnastics but I stayed up and watched every second of coverage. It's too bad it's so delayed. Tonight we won't be watching since we are going to the Yankees/Sox game. I hope the rain ends early so the game isn't cancelled. We have been looking forward to this all summer! Sox beat them last night, and they are expected to continue that tonight!
The rest of my day looks like cleaning and organizing my google drive for school. Later on in the week I plan on heading to central office to start digging through my files. I am not excited for that.

@LizzyTish88 any nasal spray or netipot nearby? I use netipot a lot during early fall because of allergies and love it. {saline and water solution}

Not much yesterday. We have a heatwave so I really didn't want to do much. I tried to upload a vlog to my youtube channel, but it really wanted to fight me and I had zero energy to deal with that. Attempt again tonight!
I think despite the heat, I'm going to try and pack more little things. Luckily Matt gets Loot Crate so we have small boxes, which will be great for perfumes. I'm going to wrap them in a small towel. This will be part of the "carrying over" boxes.
Friday Matt, my mum and I are seeing "Suicide Squad" - pretty stoked! On Saturday it's the food truck rally across from our place. This year we're going earlier, because last year a few places were sold out of items. It'll be interesting.
Random, but I'm already looking at things I wanna buy for fall/winter. I'm really feeling these "cold shoulder" tops. I feel like they could really be dressed up or casual - which is what I prefer since I mostly dress for work.

@labro Glad you're starting to feel better too. I hear you about sleeping, it's been so tough. I was just saying to a coworker that being sick in the heat is the worst because all I want to do is curl up and snuggle, and when I do, I sweat my butt off!

@Swazzle Thank you for the suggestion! The Dr told me to take the antibiotics, Advil every 4 hours, and Flonase. I didn't even think to get the cold/sinus kind of Advil. They also tested me for strep, but since I don't have tonsils (got them taken out as a kid) the rapid strep test likely won't be accurate, and the antibiotic should help if it's that too.
@swazzle – Missed you, sugar booger…….. Not sure why I called you that, but it felt right, so I went with it!
@LizzyTish88 – Ooooo, report writing training. Way fun. Haha. I was required to take two quarters of technical writing in college. That was uber fun, I tell you what.
@southernpeach89 – Bachelor in Paradise looks like an insanely hot mess. I kind of want to watch it, but also don’t know if I’d be able to stand an entire episode, haha…… I’m glad your H is taking the high road with his parents. I had to tell my dad yesterday to call my sister because he’s been giving her the silent treatment and she had no idea why. So he told her, and she did absolutely nothing to make it better, so at least now they can be not talking and she’ll at least stop bugging everyone else.
@beachyone15 – Did you REALLY need a mental health day or were you just REALLY wanting to read more HP? Either way, I don’t blame you one bit. I’ve called in to be able to read more of my book before.

My nerves are always crazy around anything even somewhat stressful. I've already put in leave for the afternoon so I can escape and either celebrate that the interview went well, or cry and drink wine because I sucked. 3 more hours!

THE BASEMENT IS DRY! In fairness, last night's rain was more of a soaker than a deluge, but so far so good!!! Crossing my fingers for this afternoon/evening not being too bad - maybe the worst of it stays away?
Once the rain is done, we're going to put down a nuclear-waste green grass seed (whichever one is cheapest) and the roots will help hold the dirt in place.
I mean, I'm REALLY into the books. I've been bringing them to work everyday to try and sneak in some reading time when work is slow.
