Yea Kenneth seems so close to his family that is seems crazy to be that far away, although I did like how he said he's never been a selfish father before and now his kids are grown and it is his time.

In general, I know I'm more an oddball in that I've never felt much of a need to be near my family. So while I can logically understand feelings other people have about their families, emotionally I can't relate at all.
Nothing negative to read into that. No animosity at all. I was lucky to have a loving, wonderful childhood with great parents and a great younger sister. I love my immediate family, though I'm not that close to them anymore. Sometimes I'm not sure if I ever was. It would be nice if they lived closer. But I was the one who chose to move 1/2 way across the country at the ripe "old" age of 23 for new adventures and a much lower COL place.
I do really enjoy seeing them when I go home for visits. But I don't go back home often and...in my deepest, darkest secrets...I don't really miss them that much and I don't think they miss me that much either.
S+S I think what you described is like my oldest brother. He moved back about 2 years ago after some life changes and while I think he's happy to be back I know he's also talking about looking for jobs elsewhere again. I know it will break my mom's heart having him move far away again but I don't think he cares too much (not in a bad way, like you said, he just doesn't feel that way)
Paul always gave me major creep vibes, I would be scared what he is capable of if I were Karine. I hope she can get away from him for their son's sake.

@Jstump2, I'm not sure if you are aware, but Paul has had multiple restraining orders against him by a variety of ex g/fs and I think even by people who had tried to help those exes, when they decided to leave him. I'm pretty sure he's also been arrested for domestic violence, but I'm not sure if he was ever convicted.
I know Karine is from a remote town and her English is spotty, but his scary past has been available and talked about online for years. I assume she knows about it and I was always concerned that she didn't seem to be heeding it. Especially leaving her country, where all her family and friends are, to go to the US where she would have no one but this broke-ass guy that's had a history of stalking and terrorizing women.

Didn’t see it. I like Karine glad she knows when to run. Paul always gave me the creeps too.
I dont know if it is in the article above or I saw elsewhere but supposedly he had cameras all over their place, basically watching her while he was gone. He's just so controlling, like he thinks she's going to cheat the second he leaves or something. For her sake I hope she gets away from him. I think she's pregnant again too, right?

The article said he was worried because “they were gone for so long”. Noooooo! Karine, don’t be preggers again! Never heard that!
I feel bad for Larissa when Eric was telling other people about their sex life. I wouldn’t go back to him, that’s very hurtful and she has every right to be mad. Of course she goes overboard with her reactions.
it’s so wrong that Michael’s family gets to discuss their life after the marriage and talk about kids. The children you bring into the world are the business of the two people bringing that child into the world.
i couldn’t stop laughing at Kalani bringing up Auselu and his mom “making out”. It was weird and awkward! Maybe the angle was bad on the camera but.... i dunno

Yeah, but Larissa wouldn't have even known about that if she hadn't gone snooping in his phone and CALLED someone he briefly dated. That was a huge breach of trust and Eric should have dumped her just for that. I like Larissa, but she seems really toxic to date.
Colt's new girl Jess has such a similar personality to Larissa, especially with the hair trigger temper. Colt, seriously. If you don't want the same relationship problems, stop dating the same type of woman, lol. Speaking of toxic...Colt's mom, smh. I don't think I need to say more, lol.
I'm tired of Elizabeth always taking her family's side. I'm definitely not a fan of Andrei's, but I can't stand her family. Andrei behaved badly at that dinner. But so did her dad and brother. In fact, they were the ones who started it with the badgering his friends/family. Who cares if Andrei is "hiding" something, which they don't even know if he is. Your daughter already married and had a kid with him. If he is hiding something that you want to "warn" her about, that ship already sailed a couple years ago. And then he goes to apologize to them. They see nothing wrong with their own behavior and, just for the cherry on top, are still total jerks to him.
From a previous episode, I always think that's so weird when people take up a new religion or...in Andrei/Elizabeth's case...a new sect of a religion, but are just doing it to please their partner. I don't think Elizabeth understands what Greek Orthodox is or even cares. She obviously didn't understand what was happening in her baptism. So what is even the point of that. You'd think a religious leader wouldn't participate in such a farce, but I know they often do.
I keep trying to be understanding of Auselu's culture, but the fact that his mom and sisters went storming off angry because they only had $100 to give the mom was awful! She hadn't seen him in a couple years and I don't think had met the youngest grandchild. But the money was so much more important than that, smh. They know he doesn't have any money and only works p/t. They know he can't even support his own family and Kalani's parents do that. I do agree with them on one point. It's ridiculous for a grown-ass man with two little kids to be working only a p/t job, while his wife doesn't work at all.
Cultural differences is why I don’t think I could date someone overseas. Especially in Angela’s case where Nigerian woman have to be submissive. Noooosirry. Not me. Is it Samoian “culture” to support your parents like that and for how long? I thought I heard that Auselu’s sister also contributed (in the private family talk, not when Kalani asked at the food court table).
Anyone watch Darcey & Stacey? I wondered what they did for a living to live in that place! Daddy bought it for them! I’m sure they make a lot to keep up with their appearance from show money then? But I do have a new found appreciation from just watching them out of 90 day set... they were more “normal”. Well, normal for the Silva sisters.
Also, Stacey, DTMFA. He cheated on you. That wasn’t for a photo opp to make it look like the girl and Florian were together, they WERE together.

I don't know from other sources, but that's what everyone keeps saying. Including Auselu. Not to mention, how old are his parents? If he's only in his mid-20s, then they are WAY below retirement age. Oh, you don't have enough money to support yourself, mom? Then how about YOU get a job! How about dad gets a job. I'm also curious what the deal is between his parents. They're living in separate countries, but the mom is concerned about sending the dad money also, so that makes me think they might still be together.
I only watched part of Darcey/Stacey. I'm pretty sure they own their own fashion company together. Something like that. But, yeah! The whole "our dad bought us this house". Must be nice! No wonder they can both afford a string of European boy toys, lol. Interesting the dad has been living in China for over 20 years. It was so surprising to hear they weren't popular and considered mousy in HS. They're both so flamboyant and outgoing now. Neat to see pictures of them younger. I've always been curious what they look like more naturally.
That was so weird and obviously staged that Stacey met with Tom. There was absolutely no point to that meeting. Oh, Tom. Are you just hanging on as tightly as you can to your 15 minutes of 90DF fame, lol? For Stacey, it's just starting! I suspect this show is going to be centered a little more around her, because she is the one with a 90-Day fiancé coming into town.
Did you get to the part where Stacey said “Dad usually comes home twice a year, but he’s been home longer this time around because there’s a corona virus in China”.
Flash forward a few months and see where the States is....irony.
Other Way: Also, I LOVED loved loved Kenny & Armondo’s (Spelling?) proposal. I was tearing up like the other pillow talkers. It was so romantic but really not over the top.

I did! Definitely ironic and you can tell this show taped awhile ago! Of course, all these shows taped awhile ago, but that was a real "in your face" example.
I liked on the Other Way (Pillow Talk) when Tim said to Veronica something like, "You didn't cry when I proposed to you!" And she responded with, "This is sweeter!" LMAO.
It was a great proposal. Between the balcony of the apartment they are renting and the scenery where the proposal happened, I seriously want to retire to Mexico! There are so many gorgeous places there.
For a completely random, long ago memory. When I lived in CA and went to Mexico frequently, there was a high rise condo complex that I passed on my drive to Ensenada. It was nestled halfway up a cliffside, with nothing else around it. A beach below and the ocean in front. I bet from the windows, you couldn't have even seen the beach and it would have just looked like water below you. Unfortunately, the development was abandoned and unfinished. Or at least it was back then. But that's always been one of my "fantasy" residences.
Yes, the Other Way was on last night. Along with B90 Strikes Back.
Not much of a spoiler but on, the Other Way, Jihoon and Deavan had a 100-day birthday party for their son. Apparently that is a Korean tradition. The whole family was wearing traditional Korean clothing and they looked great! Their baby is so adorable anyway and he was extra, extra cute in his traditional clothing. Deavan looked stunning and the colors in her dress matched Jihoon's garb. Driscilla was wearing a pink Korean-style dress and was also super cute in it. There was another little girl her age at the party and they were both running around with a bunch of balloons. They were having such a good time playing together, even though neither one spoke the other's language!
On Pillow Talk, Loren and Alexei were joking that they should have a 90-day birthday party for their son, lol.
The 100 day party was cute and I loved how they all looked. I love how Jihoon's dad always has the baby, he seems like a wonderful grandpa.
Everything else about their storyline is just ugh. Jihoon will never grow up and Deavan won't be happy since she expects him to be mature and take care of the family. It is clear Jihoon's mom babies him even at this age.
Kenneth and Armando -- Kenneth is disappointing me as he acts like a clueless foreigner like everyone else who is so afraid of the new country. I'm sort of over him after having high hopes for them.
Tim and Meyliza - did he really think he could waltz in and get a job without a work visa? Cmon dude.

OMG, yes! I was hugely side-eying him over that.
Not only was it incredibly dumb. But, quite frankly, I also found it alarming because it just screams elitism. That he would assume something like that so massively that he didn't even look into it, makes me feel that he thinks Colombia is some backwards 3rd world country that isn't going to be worried about the legalities of "look at me, I'm an American, you're so lucky I want a job here" guy.
Yeeaahh on Kenneth. Oh honey. You cannot be Mr. Prissy Pants and live in a country like Mexico. And I don't even mean that in a deragatory way about Mexico. I've stayed in residential, non-tourist areas. Overall, they're fine and not crazy "off" from American standards. But, at the same time, you can't be a white-gloved Prissy Pants either. For example, just like what happened in the show, the sewerage system infrastructure is NOT great. In many places, they cannot handle toilet tissue, so TP needs to be discarded in the bathroom trash can instead of being flushed.
The weird thing about Mexico is I remember looking into the area they're in (I forget where it is now) and it was a big American ex-pat area and supposed to be very safe, etc. yet they act like it is a scary place. Like they're trying to make it seem like a bad area but maybe it really isn't.

I didn't look up specifically where they are. But it makes sense it is an ex-pat area because, if Armando is moving two hours away from his family anyway, they might as well go somewhere Kenneth would feel more comfortable, ie an ex-pat retirement community.
I actually haven't gotten the impression it is a generally unsafe area. The safety concerns I've picked up have only been related to their same-sex relationship status.
But I'm also coming from the perspective of having lived in NOLA for the last 20 years, lol. Definitely has areas of high crime and lots of distressed/abandoned houses. So my definition of "sketchy" might be lower than most people's.
I feel like Kenneth acts like it is sketchy - I dont get that feeling from their apt or anything but he acts like he's afraid to go anywhere even by himself.
I feel like Kenneth acts like it is sketchy - I dont get that feeling from their apt or anything but he acts like he's afraid to go anywhere even by himself.
Oh, that's right! I remember in their first jaunt around town he was nervous it wasn't safe. I think he is also nervous of the language barrier. I could also see where coming from the middle class suburbia of FL. Where buildings are pretty and shiny and new. And moving to a poorer city where some buildings/houses look older and shabbier could equate to "high crime" for him, even if it's a fairly safe neighborhood.
He still hasn't been there long and I assume he will start to become more independent with time. At least I hope that is true for Armando's sake, lol.
Although not a foreign country or a language barrier, the first time I went to NYC, I was by myself. I was super nervous about that. "It's such a big city, I'm going to get lost, blah, blah." I had to "talk myself up" and reassure myself that it was fine. I'm a grown-ass adult. If I get lost, I'll figure it out, and it will just be an unexpected adventure, lol.
Though I did chicken out on using the subway for transportation. I looked at a subway map. It felt too confusing (what do you mean there are multiple lines, lol) and I quickly gave up. On my second NYC trip, which was with my H and after I'd experienced a similar type system in Boston (the T), I had my first subway ride and discovered what an amazingly efficient way it is get around. And it's not hard (hanging head in shame), lol. It just felt daunting when I didn't know what to expect.
Let’s talk Larissa and boobs. No way is her Quote of $14,000 Correct. Mine were $7,500 and considered in the high range. The way they were talking, she was getting silicone and not saline which is what I have. She’s fitting another procedure in there. Where do they live again?
But I do get the lack of sex because of lack of confidence. She’s right about that - and many other girls on my surgery boards have said that.
Angie and Michael won’t make it. If he can’t do the one thing your supposed to do at strip clubs, look, then they won’t last. If Angie truly didn’t want to go in there, she would have really put her foot down. She knows how to do it.
Larissa is in Vegas. I feel like boob jobs might happen a lot there so maybe even cheaper than normal haha. I'm over her storyline.
Angela and Michael are so strange, there must be some love in there somehow to still be together all this time. Because if he was just wanting to get to the US he could have done it with someone else by now, someone not abusive and someone able to bear a child.
BUT I think that part of the storyline is fake anyway. I read online that she got all her "work" done heavily discounted (maybe even some of it free) by promoting and being an Instagram model for the plastic surgeon.
I had a friend in college who got a large discount from her plastic surgeon for her boobs by agreeing to be a model for his brochures. She was one of the most traffic stopping beauties I have ever met IRL, thought that was true even before the boob job. She went from an A to a C, so a good bit bigger than where she started, but nothing extreme that looked "whoa!".
Angela’s wedding: was actually beautiful and looked like fun. However, she DID have time to change her bra. Be late for your wedding if that’s what it means to not show a GREEN bra under a wedding dress!
Pillow talk: see Lauren’s face when Alexi said something like wanting wood for the anniversary gift? She was going to say something dirty. Or maybe she did and it was cut off?
I also notice that when Angela and Michael get it on or talk about getting it on, the pillowtalkers are all “ew ewww ewww”. But a more “traditionally ” attractive couple.... they’re all like “oh yeah, get it honey!”
Elizabeth and Andrei’s wedding really was beautiful and unique! Until Charlie butted in. Was I watching 90 Day Fiancé or my big fat gypsy wedding with that fight?
I didn't watch last night's episode yet, but I finally did catch up. Libby's family is so gross to me. Why is it any of your business any Andrei left Moldova? What Libby's sister was saying in the van about the women there having attitudes? Ugh. They are terrible.
I dislike Angela so much, from her use of the word "tote" to literally shoving everything she can into her bra.
I actually felt bad for Jess, and was hoping she showed Debbie the messages Colt sends to other women..lol.

Happily Ever After is just a shitshow, the couples and people themselves just have so many issue. Too many toxic relationships for me!
