In Response to Re: Well, you can all be happy now : I might be biased in that 'cause 1) I don't like the Eagles and q) When I went it was for a Temple game, and there was nobody there.  Its gotta be a better vibe when there's a sold out crowd right?

    1) I LOVE the Eagles so I am bias

    3)  I just love that is outdoors and sitting out in the freezing cold is what football is all about!

    Boo...Phillies are better Tongue out

I can't do the cold.  I can't enjoy myself at a game, even early Phillies games, when I'm freezing my butt off.

In Response to Re: Well, you can all be happy now : I feel bad for the kids....I'm anxious to see if Dexter sticks around or runs away.  I, too, just ordered showtime just to be able to watch this show oh and the new one about the Borgia Family that's replacing the Tudors.  I cannot wait. I read something somewhere about Julia Stiles.  I cannot remember her being in anything recently except one of those Bourne movies.

OH! and I don't know if it's going to be on Showtime or HBO, but there's a new show by the writers of The Sopranos that I'm super excited for. have you heard of that one?
  • In Response to Re: Well, you can all be happy now:
In Response to Re: Well, you can all be happy now : no one really spoiled it for me, but when I'd mention xxxto my bestie, she'd say "I can't talk about xxx." ... so when I watched the whole fourth season and everything was ok, I almost turned off the dvd because I was thinking "they're going on a family vacation, how boring." then I saw that shiit got real, and I think my jaw hit my dog. she still won't come near me. and even though xxx had been getting on my nerves, I was super upset. she was so good for Dexter. :(

Yes you! Sorry to hear about your month =( FI had the same issue: economics degree and 3 years of law school, and couldn't find a single person who would hire him. It took a couple months, but he finally found a decent job he really enjoys, so I'm sure it'll work out for you too!

I'm just now starting on Jack Reacher- I started with The Killing Floor.  But yes, I'm now a fan.

And, I got tickled yesterday. My mom showed the picture below (in which, I look like I stuck my finger in an electric socket) to a friend of hers, and she said "who's that on the front row?" I think it was my dad's former boss' wife. Obviously, she didn't know who J was, either.
We're on the Tarantula train, headed from Grapevine into the Stockyards. I'd just had my hair cut, and it was windy (from the train windows, not actually windy in TX). It was everwhere.

And yes, this was a totally random post.

thanks! i'm spending my time volunteering at some political events right now, which has been fun. i got to work an event friday that had in attendance the party's senate, attny general, and governor candidates as well as the sitting senator and some house members. no matter which way you vote, that's pretty badass.

but i'd much rather do something that PAYS!

I am not a fan of hers but I like what her win represents.    Her win proves people are paying attention to the liars and RINO's.

I heard about it but I have no idea what its called.  I'm also excited for that.  We shall have to start posts listing our TV shows.  I'm very excited for the fall season to start.

    DON"T MENTION THEM.

I haven't been in over 2 months.  If I had my way I'd eat them all the time.  Literally all the time.

i'm not very familiar with where she stands on issues, but i'm shocked and disappointed that she hasn't dropped out of the race or conceded. that was an important state, and the more moderate conservative had a real shot of winning it. i think she is taking the whole "maverick" thing a bit too far, to the point where she has ostracized too many people for her to have a shot at success. what are your thoughts?

florida has a hot hot senate race right now with a republican, dem, and an opportunist all neck in neck with each other. most of my attention is focused on that race.

don't you think there's liars on both sides, though?
  • SS- I have been following it a little bit.  The guy she ran against Cassel is a Republican but has voted Democratic the majority of the time.

I think thats why people got so mad.

But like you, I am not that familiar with it.  Just heard about it the last few days on talk radio.

  • i could get on board with that, blue, if she stood a chance of winning. i'd probably have preferred her to the RINO, personally. but i think her nomination has sealed that seat for the democrat. a more liberal state needs a more moderate republican candidate. i'd like to see more balance in the senate, so any loss we suffer disappoints me. i actually do not want to see the republicans get a large majority, either. i just want to see more balance and more moderate politicians who don't polarize so many voters.

Of course there are.....its politics.  Oh wait this wasn't addressed to me but.....

I may consider myself a conservative but I'll admit Republicans lie as much as Democrats.  Right now I just find the Democrats to be more damaging to the country and the economy.

Of course.  I was talking about her republican opponent, not the Dem she will be facing in November.  I am a republican and the fact that Cassel claims to be one but votes democratic bothers me and makes him a liar.
