    Sorry to hear that, Celles. I personally have no problem with WoW, and would much rather hear about that than Twilight any day. It's my sense that any potential runaway/derailing topic is discouraged when it's too early in a thread like this, and that it's not so much about the actual topic. If that makes sense.

    I have to be honest, I usually skim WoW talk, so this may be more obvious if you are actually interested in WoW.

    But, I do feel like this same thing happens about cash bars. In a different capacity, but still. Some one mentioned the cash bar debate being a knottie pet peeve. I don't remember who, but really? There is etiquette on the matter and people are going to relay said etiquette. What I don't get is the 8347839 people who follow up with how they are doing something different every.single.time.

    Yeah, but the vow renewal thing wasn't so much a threadjack as it was a transition. Cranberry had a grievance about how some not so big deal things get crazy overreactions, was asked for an example and provided one.

    Last week it was definitely about WoW. 

    And I <em>don't</em> want to talk about WoW.  I have other outlets for that.  I just don't want to have to filter everything I say because it may contain a vague WoW-related reference or in-joke -- and heaven freakin' forbid someone perceive that as an attempt to take over their otherwise scintillating conversation about tiered receptions and strap-on penis hats. 

    Anysunrise and I got called out for exchanging a grand total of three lines of WoW-related banter, buried in a much larger thread to which we were both making relevant contributions.  It was excessive.

    I'm confused.  How does Cranberry come into this at all?  I was responding to Celles.  And I think you missed my point entirely.  My point was that it's nothing against WoW specifically.

I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now.     So, I'm only on page 3 or so and apparently we aren't supposed to talk about FB stuff here, but I'm still going to flame Aprov for her not so quiet GBCK on FB because it was just so damn strange. I don't get how she could handle all of the horrible call outs with so much grace, yet leave the board because she called someone a twat and got called out for it.

    I mean, I get it if it was one of those "last straw" kind of deals, but that's not the way she made it seem. And I totally respect her decision to leave if that's what she needs to do, but was all of that necessary? I think Shelly has proven that it is, in fact, not.

    I'm a little late, but I think this chick came back on other boards.  I wish I had a better memory because it was awhile ago, but I think I remembered seeing the same avatar pic with a new screen name on Chit Chat. Then the avatar pic was changed while I was going to investigate. I can't remember the screen names, but I think she was one that changed hers and went back to her old one.

    FWIW, Y I Oughta, I really did think it was a joke picture - I wasn't being snarky (and I am sorry that it was un-nice; I have no problem with you at all).  You have a very pretty smile, so I guess I still don't understand why you chose a picture where you look so unhappy.  Your other pictures aren't that way.  *shrug*

    It's ok. I don't let it bother me too much, and thank you. I was contemplating the additions to the dress. I didn't know my kid was taking the pic but it came out with the whole dress so I used it. It was more the comments about the strap that were kinda not nice.

    I was looking in the mirror trying to figure out if I like the strap and red sash as well as the red bottom and my kid took a picture. I liked it so I used it. That's all. I guess I don't look happy. It's my thinking face.

    I just want to say that I hate GBCK threads, period. If you want to stop posting, fine. but don't be a giant freaking AW whiney teenager about it and start a whole thread about how you are leaving. I don't care. ESPECIALLY if you come back again later (this is not directed at anyone in particular, just the overall notion) all Bret Favre like. HATE.
