WHY DO YOU GUYS TALK SO MUCH BEFORE SEVEN OCLOCK IN THE MORNING?!?! And good morning! I'm working today, but hopefully I'll be done early. I'm off tomorrow, and we're heading back home tomorrow morning with my other brothers and their S/O and my adorbs nephews. And, I think I might be getting a new car in the near future? I have mixed feelings about this.
Posted by crfische
Mixed feelings? You're...not normal. I got rid of my very first car without even a second glance.

• Oh, I love my car right now, ya see. I LOVE IT. Like crazy. And I think I need to do the responsible thing and get an SUV when really... I really, really love my car.

Why do you need a gas hog SUV? Or is it b/c of all the damn snow you guys have there?
• I only got the car I currently have the hard way when I totaled my old one. And btw, I love it. It gets awesome gas mileage, too.
• I am annoyed because I got a manicure with that shellac nailpolish that is supposed to be super strong or something and last for 2 weeks, well the shiit is already peeling and I paid a damn arm and a leg for it. It is only one nail though. hmm odd. Also the lady that did my nails said not to remove it myself, that I can come in and they will do it for free, so I think I am going to call and ask the salon if I should just get it all removed or if they can fix my one nail.

All I can add is I love mashed potatoes and would miss them if they weren't at holidays. We are having a brunch at our house on easter and then I guess going to lunch at FI's grandparents house. Easy peasy.

• Yeah. The place I work for is moving and the roads out there are far from ideal. My little Passat would never make it out there. And if there are ever any little fishes on the way, I'd want something like that.

• Don't get my wrong guys, my IL's food is amazing......I just can't do a dinner like that w/o mashed potatoes.  They do yams which are really tasty but just not the same.  When I brought them for Christmas they all got their entire plates of food (w/o the potatoes) and each made sure to tell me that they'd eat them after their original plate b/c it just seemed to weird to put it on their first plate of food.  Even T's aunt came way later and was like, "mashed potatoes, what are those things doing there, that's so weird".

Never in my life.  Never.  It is almost comical to me.
• Rosie - that sounds like fun and a sh!t ton of food.
• WHO DOESNT LOVE MASHED TATERS?!!

I know! I wanted to do breakfast instead of brunch but FI always goes running with his friend on Sunday morning and he cancelled last weekend so he doesn't want to cancel again this weekend. Boo :(

• Rosie - I think Loopy or someone on here had a similar issue with the Shellac manicure. I have never had one, but considered it for the wedding. I just went with a regular French manicure and it lasted forever. I don't know what she did, but even with the salt water and sand on the HM, it was just starting to look crappy after about a week. And that is good for me b/c while I love to do my nails, it always ends up chipping within a few days, esp if I am working with all the little rascals.
• Im sad that it is Thursday....because I have been on vacation all week....so now its almost over. :(

I am making ham w/ mashed potatoes tonight for dinner! :)

and oddly there are a bunch of helicopters flying outside my house right now ?!?!?!
• I don't understand not understanding mashed taters. What's not to understand?!?!

EXACTLY!

So I just have to give a little shout out to The Children's Place.  I ordered some clothes from them on Tuesday for J and just picked the 10 day shipping.  It's out for delivery TODAY.  2 days to process and it get it to me.  That's pretty darn amazing.
• C'mon guys... two pages already.  Stop talking without me. :(

I'm ready for this week to be over.  I'm actually ready for most of May to be over too.  I just want to be on our cruise all ready.

I'm off to actually read this thread! :)

Lock your doors.  They're probably looking for someone.
• Where is your cruise stopping at Fezz?  I'd take cruises all the time if I lived near the ports.
• LTB - I would love to cook Easter or any holiday dinner, but without family and not many friends here, it just wouldn't be fun. And besides, our place really isn't big enough. I told H that once we move and get a place big enough, I most definitely will be hosting some holiday dinners.

I cooked a huge meal last year for just the two of us and H ended up working a good part of the day. I had to keep the food warm in the oven and then I didn't want to even eat after waiting for so long on him to get home.
• Good morning! You guys are chatty this morning, 3 pages and it's only 8:10.

I had to run my car through the wash this morning because some birds decided to use it as target practice. I don't park under any trees, so it was very odd. But at least my car is clean now!

Okay, time to go back and read the last 3 pages.

• Good morning.  Today is my Friday.  I am so relieved that this week is almost over.  H and I are leaving for MA for his parents' house tonight.  I am so happy to see the end of Easter week once again.

And now I have to go back and re-read, because this has 62 posts already.

• Stacks - I love The Children's Place for kids clothes. I told H that between there, the Gap and some other stores, our children will be well dressed. And I told him about the price tags on them and he said "I don't see why they have to have expensive clothes like that." And I told him "because they are too freaking cute, that's why."

Oh yeah, on a totally unrelated note, I am getting my haircut today. I think probably about 2 inches off or so. It is about to get really hot here and it is just too thick and bulky for me.
• Lol, I went into kids Gap the other day to look for an Easter rabbit outfit for my nephew (that no one had!!) and stopped to look at the adorable skinny jeans. Those effers were $40.00! That's how much MY jeans cost. My kid is getting used clothes from Once Upon a Child.

Ditto this.  Besides the wedding, April has let me down this year.  I'm ready for summer semester, with my one easy class.  Plus, May is full of fun weekends for me.

Also, I accidentally wore my earth day t-shirt today.  Do you think people will think I'm weird, or just REALLY EXCITED about earth day?

• Three pages y'all?? It's barely 8:20!

I'm going to have to go back and read everything, but first: Good morning! It's a chilly day in the D of C. I went to bed alone last night and woke up with a guy in my bed! Thank goodness it was Mr. Panda! :-) He came home late last night from Utah and got up super early this morning to drive to Atlantic City... only thing is, turns out his meeting isn't in Atlantic City- it's here in D.C. He was an angry panda this morning. Especially since he had one of his team guys from Dallas fly in to the wrong city this morning. Whoops.

• Manda - that stinks, I would be pissed, too. Your H has got to be exhausted.

Yep the prices can get so ridiculous!  I'm a deal shopper for her clothes.  I bought her 2 church dresses from Children's place this time that were originally $34.99 and they were on sale for $15.  Then before I went to check out I just did a random online search for any coupons and found one that brought it down to like $12 each.  So I got her 2 church dresses and 2 pairs of shoes for like $50.

Thanks! We are going to Baltimore tomorrow afternoon (taking half days at work). Saturday we are going to the National Aquarium and wandering around the inner harbor and maybe Fells Point in the afternoon. Sunday we are going to see Cirque du Soliel! We're really excited and I just want this day to be over.
