Anyone around tonight?

Re: Anyone around tonight?

  • Drama we have a fan in our room year round.  I have heard the same thing as you said too, that it's only a couple weeks.  I might just have to buy a sprinkler and sit outside in it all day if it gets that bad.
I should go make dinner but I don't feel like it.  I feel like a slug.  There are 12 days of school left and the kids have the poor behavior to prove it.  Ugh. Posted by DramaGeek
We have 8 days left and are AP did an afternoon announcement about the their behavior.  I can't blame them, state testing is done, end of year testing is done, they have other things to do, but nothing too important to them.
  • I just woke up from a nap. Edmund insisted on not sleeping well last night and I couldn't even put him down without him screaming until 1:30 this morning. I went to bed then and he was up at 4am, 6am, 7am and 8 am wanting more food. I took him to the pedi because he's been extremely fussy the last few days and I thought his belly button might be infected. Belly button is fine, they think he is colicky.  So it's been a very long day for me.

Dh worked over 10 hours and is exhausted as well. That is what happens when you order a 700 piece load and have part of the freezer being repaired while you are throwing the load.

Beachy, you really don't need an AC around here most years. Fans will suffice. The last time we needed AC here was the summer of '09 when it was over 100 for a week.

  • I'm back with hushpuppies from Cookout. Yum.
  • That's good to know Ciara.  If it hits 100 I might just check into a hotel.  One with a pool.

  • We just used fans on full blast.

Edmund is also 8lbs 11oz. His pedi said that they normally follow parallel to a growth curve and he is just skyrocketing and not following anything. He is almost out of newborn sized stuff.

  • It still depends on the NAM and how well it works to help shape his mouth. I'm guessing it will still be around the same time frame as before.

Ok, ladies. I'm going to go shower, and drag my husband to bed. He's still sleeping on the couch.

Have a good night and a great weekend!

    I'm here.

Just signed up for Pet Insurance.  I chose the monthly premiums hoping that H won't do the math to figure out the yearly cost...

He knows we are getting it, but the monthly amount doesn't sound nearly as ridic as the yearly amount.

aMrs, I think my pet insurance was $8/month when I had it.  Is yours much more than that?

OK, sorry it took so long, I had to stop laughing.  Yes, Ours is MUCH more than that.  Try $55.59 a month.  That has $15k a year coverage and a $100 deductible.

Not really.  He had an MRI of his head and some kind of bone test done today, but they still don't really know what's wrong with him.  They are treating the staph infection and viral mengitis as of now.  His fever was down today, but his white count is up, indicating his infection is actually worse.  They told us today to expect at least 19 more days in the NICU, because he is going to be on 3 weeks of IV antivirals and antibiotics.

Ok wow.  I don't remember the maximum coverage on the plan I had, but it was very basic and had a $250 deductible.  And it was 4 years ago.  Lucky for me, the only time my dog has ever really gotten emergently sick (knocking on wood) was for the year I had pet insurance.

  • Well Bull Mastiffs are known for eyelid issues and since we didn't get to see her parents records, Hip issues are also possible.  I figure this just hedges our bets.

I didn't have pet ins for my kitty and $5000 in tests surgery etc.... there was NO WAY we weren't getting ins for this beast.
