Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
I love that song and it was one of the contenders for our first dance. FI didn't want it.

I think that as long as it has special meaning to you, and you both like it, it's a good choice.
Most of the time people won't think your first dance choice is weird as long as the lyrics are wedding appropriate. Songs about cheating, breaking up and death ... now those songs get a side-eye.

we aren't on a mountain or anything, but i just love the emotion in the song. and i don't think it's any slower than other first dance songs (unless you whip out a funny choreographed number or something).
