So we have had some wonderful introduction threads lately. This has gotten me to thinking that we have so many regs and lurkers that I never got an intro post from. I thought it might be nice to get to know a little more about each other.

These are just some random thoughts that popped into my head. Feel free to add or change however you want.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM? I was born and raised in Denver.

WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? H is originally from Iowa

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I work in finance.

AND YOUR SO? H is in law enforcement.

ANY KIDS? Not yet. Soon hopefully.

PETS? We have a beagle named Bailey and a Calico cat named Zillie. We also have a gerbil named Mr. Gerbil. We are creative.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? I love all cheese but my favorites are goat cheese and asiago. I may or may not have eaten them both for breakfast.

FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): I love me a good Porter. Right now I am obsessing over Breckenridge Vanilla Porter

ANYTHING ELSE? I came on TK to plan my wedding and have fallen in love with the culture and the people. I am happy to be an OMH and look forward to many years of Knotting.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Born and raised in the NYC suburbs, where I still reside. 

WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? Same as me! We actually grew up about 15 minutes away from each other, but he's 7 years older than me. 

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I'm the executive VP of a pastry manufacturer. 

AND YOUR SO? He owns his own business (high end video and sound installing, security systems and things of that nature)

ANY KIDS? No, and we're not planning on having any. 

PETS? We have a pit mix named Stella. I adopted her 4 years ago. 

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? It's a toss between goat and feta and brie. But I also love me some sharp cheddar. And gouda. 

FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Red wine - all kinds. 

ANYTHING ELSE? I love all things wedding. I'd totally be a wedding planner, but that would mean I'd have to work on the weekends.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Snow-hio

WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? All over the place, really. He's a Navy brat. Uhhh, I guess Maine, mostly? 

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I work in customer service until Monday, and then my job is unpacking, decorating, and drinking wine until I find someone to pay me to do something else.

AND YOUR SO? Manages a hockey store and works from home for an online company.

ANY KIDS? Eventually, but not yet.

PETS? I have two ladycats, Gretchen and Stella, and he has a dog, Bailey.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? ALL THE CHEESE. If I had to pick one, I guess Kerrygold Irish Reserve cheddar. 

FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): This is seasonal for sure. In the summer, it's coconut La Croix. Right now it's merlot and/or hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps. Fall is for dark beers. Spring is for gin & tonics. Also coffee coffee coffee.

Where are you from?: Upstate NY originally, now living in FL.

Where is your SO from?: He was an Army brat, but was born in Kansas.

What do you do for work: I work at a college full time running a tutoring center, and I also teach a couple of evening classes.

And your SO?: FI is a photojournalist for a local TV station

Any kids?: Not yet. We'll start trying probably a year or so after getting married.

Pets?: We have a beautiful big mutt who was originally FI's but thankfully now loves me too. We keep talking about getting another dog, but right now I can't imagine how we'd make that work.

What is your favorite cheese?: Call me predictable, but I love brie.

Favorite drink: I can't believe you said the Breckenride Porter, because I actually have been loving that a lot lately too. For harder stuff, my go-to drink is a vanilla vodka with coke.

Anything else?: Assuming all goes well we'll be hitched November of next year. I am mildly obsessed with Disney World and Star Trek. Also love fiction writing, though since I started wedding planning I haven't gotten much of that done. This forum is amazingly addicting.

AND YOUR SO? H is a heavy civil construction engineer.

ANY KIDS? Not yet. I have baby fever really bad but H wants to pay off some student loan debt first. Hopefully within next 2 years we can try.

PETS? We have a sweet Shorkie (Shih tzu/ yorkie) named Raider and he has the cutest face alive and he's my FURCHILD yes I said it.

MAYONNAISE: I just started getting into liking mayonnaise on my sandwiches. I used to eat turkey sandwiches without it. I like the olive oil kind because I LOVE olive oil. H and I are olive oil snobs.

ANYTHING ELSE? I am a Type 1 Diabetic and I have carried the Olympic Torch!

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I work in the public recreation field currently with senior citizens and doing the special events for the town. Eventually I would love to do youth athletics or even be the director.

AND YOUR SO? He is currently a student at NC State for Turf Grass Management and works part time for the school's gold course. He graduates in May and hopes to stay in the golf course industry.

ANY KIDS? Not yet. We want to wait until FI (will be H) is done with school and working full time. We are hoping to start TTC this time next year.

PETS? 3 dogs that live with us (June 4, Loretta 3, Bama 2) and 2 that live with FI's parents (Kayla 9 and Bo 5) and a cat with us (Wynona 1)

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? Basically any cheese. I love really sharp cheddars, blue cheese, and brie a lot right now.

FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Alcoholic beverage of choice is a Washington Apple or Amaretto Sour or just a Whiskey and Sprite. Non-alcoholic beverage is either tea or water.

WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? Born in Louisiana, but raised in Atlanta. (His mom actually just went to LA for like 8 weeks so she could have her sister close by when she had him--packed up the family and 3 kids and lived in a motorhome!  She's crazy, BTW)

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? Private tutoring for K-5.

AND YOUR SO? FI is an electrician.

ANY KIDS? We will be trying once we're married; would love to be KU be the end of next year.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? I'm kind of an equal opportunity cheese lover.  Cheddar, brie, Monterrey jack, havarti...I don't love super stinky bleu cheeses, but I'll take a little crumble with buffalo chicken.

WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? He was an Army kid, so all over. Most recently Alabammer as well though.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I'm a legal secretary for a lawyer who works mostly in family law.

AND YOUR SO? He's a chef. 

ANY KIDS? Not yet, but definitely one day.

PETS? We have Sophie the Bichon Frise (mine, technically, but she likes FI better) and Po the Amazing Wondercat (also mine. He doesn't really LIKE anyone, but if you're warm or have food he is a very good actor). I also live with Cousi the Great Pyrenees and Teeny Tiny, who is Po's baby sister, but they are my parents'.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? ...I just like cheese. Cheddar is typically what I buy unless I'm feeling fancy, and then I buy brie. I don't really like goat cheese *ducks thrown objects*

FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): I don't really have a boozy drink I like - I get Angry Orchard or a cranberry vodka if I get anything. If you give me a good mocha though, I will be your best friend for that entire day. (I take Starbucks mochas as well, but I'm only your best friend for 12 hours that way.)

YES!!  My dog gets hiccups sometimes and I feel so bad for her!  She has such little, pathetic sounding, hiccups.  She also burps and snores

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I teach Junior High.  Go Phys-Ed!!

ANY KIDS? Nope.  Hopefully never at this point 

PETS? None since Winston (my hedgie).  I'd love a dog, but I'm not willing to get up in the middle of winter at 6am to let him out, so no dog for us.  We're kinda liking the freedom at the moment.

ANYTHING ELSE? I always feel so behind cos most discussions take place when I'm sleeping (early am) or when I'm at work.  Little to no Knotting for me at work.    Oh, and 6 more school days till Christmas break, not that I'm counting or anything.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? Clinical research (and I'm a published writer)  

AND YOUR SO? I don't remember his title but he does design stuff with apps and web content and marketing  

ANY KIDS? No! And NOT anytime soon!! 

PETS? A fat little beagle with an attitude who was the runt of the litter so she's also a shorty, a big giant rescue dog who's half Catahoula and half mystery, a lizard named Pickles, and 4 tropical frogs 

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? Goat cheese! (Best thing EVER is to slice a baguette, coat it with olive oil and Italian seasoning, grill it, and then spread goat cheese on it) 

FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Stoli. My family is Russian so I pretty much grew up on Russian vodka. And I've said this before but I did a case study on Stoli for grad school so I know how it's made. Ridiculously obsessively high quality, especially for its price!  

ANYTHING ELSE? I love tattoos (I have about 10 now and I'm planning my next one), I paint and draw for fun, I listen to everything from the Beatles to Rob Zombie (but no country, although I'm super obsessed with bluegrass and yes bluegrass is WAY WAY WAY different than country), I do kickboxing for exercise (took classes on MMA fighting), I still watch cartoons pretty much every day, and I love love love bacon so much! Also I love all you wonderful ladies on TK!

ANY KIDS? Nope and no future plans for any either. 

PETS? We have a 3 year old yellow lab named Gracie.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? Parmesan.  I make a pasta that has sauteed onions and garlic in olive oil and then pasta is tossed in that with red pepper flakes and dried oregano.  I then probably put in about half a wedge of parm (possibly more).  The more cheese the better.

FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Non-boozy = an ice cold fountain diet coke.  Boozy = Boordy Vineyards (local vineyard in MD) Riesling.

ANYTHING ELSE? My sister and SIL were born on the same day in the same hospital.  My Mom and MIL always joke that they probably passed each other in the halls on one of their many walks.
