    WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Have lived my whole life in the Chicago suburbs (even college) and now live in Woodstock, IL - home of Dick Tracy comic artist, Aurthur Gould and the great Bill Murray move, Groundhog Day!

    WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? He's lived in Woodstock, IL since junior high (spent 4-5 years in Iowa for college) and as a child lived in another IL suburb.

    WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I'm an HR professional, currently focused on recruiting; recently promoted to a supervisory role!

    AND YOUR SO? Fiance is a pharmacy technician (not a pharmacist).

    ANY KIDS? No way Jose and never; thank you.

    PETS? We can't have pets where we live.  I had a cat I had to leave with my aunt as my fiance is allergic to them.  Fortunately, Romeo (the cat) loves her dog.  I miss having a pet, but since, aside from sleeping, I'm only home about 3 hours a day during the week (as is fiance) this would not be a good time to bring a pet into our lives, even if our lease allowed it.

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? I like cheese, but not sure I'm as crazy about it as many of you seem to be.  I think I'll have to go with a good baked brie since I only get it about once a year at the holidays and it is quite yummy.

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Water is my favorite drink.  For booze, I like wine, but it doesn't always like me (stuffy heads / cotton mouth), so I have come to really, really enjoy beer!  (Although I did win four bottles of wine in a silent auction last night!)

    ANYTHING ELSE? I came on TK to get wedding planning help (not the girl who's planned her wedding since she was 5 and frankly wanted to elope or do a "parents only" wedding) and found the forums which has been probably the only useful thing on TK so far.  Lurked for a while, then started commenting / posting, although I never introduced myself, so I'm glad this thread was started!

    My "pet project" right now is as a volunteer for The Food Shed Co-op, a co-op grocery store we're trying to open in the county where I live.

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? This is hard! Goat, sharp cheddar, parmesan (I cook with it ALL the time), Havarti.

    ANYTHING ELSE? Originally came on here a long time ago to help family members plan weddings (it's fun to me, haha) and got sucked into the boards one day. I started posting without actually introducing myself, so hi :)

    No, but he does have the biggest, loudest belches I've ever heard.
    Ours do get hiccups occasionally. But one of them, Bama, audibly farts like a human. He has louder farts than  most humans actually.
    Our dog has SBD farts. I was surrounded by farts the other night, my husband on one side and the dog on my other side. ;)

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? Goat cheese! (Best thing EVER is to slice a baguette, coat it with olive oil and Italian seasoning, grill it, and then spread goat cheese on it) 

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Stoli. My family is Russian so I pretty much grew up on Russian vodka. And I've said this before but I did a case study on Stoli for grad school so I know how it's made. Ridiculously obsessively high quality, especially for its price!  

    ANYTHING ELSE? I love tattoos (I have about 10 now and I'm planning my next one), I paint and draw for fun, I listen to everything from the Beatles to Rob Zombie (but no country, although I'm super obsessed with bluegrass and yes bluegrass is WAY WAY WAY different than country), I do kickboxing for exercise (took classes on MMA fighting), I still watch cartoons pretty much every day, and I love love love bacon so much! Also I love all you wonderful ladies on TK! :) 
    Do you listen to any folk?  I've been into that the last year or so and my town (Woodstock, IL) has a folk festival every summer in July- you should come out.

    Please recommend some bluegrass for me.  My fiance's mom has played a few albums recently and I'm diggin' it!

    WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Originally Tacoma Washington but my family is army so I lived in VA for 12 years. 

    WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? He is from Georgia, small town of 500

    WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I'm a student and the student manager for my university's museum

    AND YOUR SO? Living off scholarships because he is a smart and a student. He is applying to grad school

    ANY KIDS? Nope! If we have any, it won't be for a very long time

    PETS? No and very sad about it. Hopefully, we can get a dog in a few years

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? UO: I don't like cheese by itself, only if its on or paired with something. Swiss and parmesan are my favorite

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): I love peach martinis but I also love anything that's sweet and taste kinda fruity ha. Favorite nonbooze is coffee, milk, and dr.pepper.

    ANYTHING ELSE? I use to be a radio dj for a year and I loved it. But I had to quit because I couldn't do that, along with work and school. I want to pick it back up again eventually.

    Talking about coincidences: my co worker and I(she started about a year ago, I've been here 7 years) were married on the same day, and we have the same birthday (though she is one year older than me). Our husbands' bdays are one day apart. It's really weird!

I'm happy to be married but I'm only doing the wedding part to please our families, it means literally nothing to me to do the wedding stuff. That's probably going to be an unpopular thing to share, but it's the truth.
    That's me. 100000000%. Anxiety and stress were my wedding helpers before I found these forums.

    Now I'm not actually PLANNING so much as ... bouncing ideas. Le sigh.

    ANY KIDS? Not yet and not for a LONG time.

    PETS? We have a little yorkie named Fred Jackson

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? I really only like cheese if it's melted - then I'll pretty much eat any kind. I'm also obsessed with feta cheese.

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Wine. The drier the better. I'm also currently drinking ALL the Christmas beer.

    WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I was the first employee of a now 4 person healthcare tech company. Officially, I run client services. In reality, I manage our clients, product management, marketing, tech support, and anything else we need.

    AND YOUR SO? H installs enterprise-level network/email/data security solutions. He's also in school full-time.

    ANY KIDS? He came with a 15 year old son who lives with us. We want another.

    PETS? We adopted Maury (AKA "Monkey Butt") in May. He's supposedly a pit mix but he looks like pure pit. He's very sweet and cuddly.

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? I'm struggling between fresh mozzarella and manchego.

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Diet Coke or a nice dry wet wine.

    ANYTHING ELSE? I got married in October and decided to stick around.

    Also, I think mayo is disgusting. Miracle Whip is only a little bit better. Even then, it only has a few acceptable uses: deviled eggs, tuna salad, etc. *runs and ducks*

    ANYTHING ELSE? My sister and SIL were born on the same day in the same hospital.  My Mom and MIL always joke that they probably passed each other in the halls on one of their many walks.
    I just read a book about a former CIA agent who told people she "worked for the government" or was a "government contractor" when she was in fact a spy.  So- are you a spy?
    @FeeleyToBe - LOL!!  Oh gosh, I wish.  I mean it would at least make my days a lot more interesting :)  But unfortunately no.  Instead I sit in a cubical and write meeting minutes from boring and redundant teleconferences every day.  I do, however, get to wear a really cool headset!

    WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Toronto born, GTA raised. Now in a smaller town 2hrs south west from there.

    WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I'm a registered kinesiologist. Finishing school for manual osteopathy by Feb!

     AND YOUR SO? A brilliant computer programmer. 

    ANY KIDS? Not yet. Thinking of removing the IUD this spring if work is looking good

     PETS? Yup! My little furball is a four year old poodle/west highland terrier cross. She's 12 lbs and burps like a champ. Also has started to snore!

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? That's like asking someone to choose their favourite child. Can't do it. But I do know I'd be a hell of a lot thinner without it. 

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): RUM, or strongbow. Yum!

    @jenna8984 - They also went to high school together and were in a lot of rec sports together when they were younger.  So my family and H's family were always around each other but just didn't realize it.

    But like in your case and in my case it really just shows how small of a world it really is.

    RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Engaged. Wedding is 05/10/15--coming up way too fast, but not nearly fast enough.

    WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Originally Missouri, but living in the amazing state of New Mexico now (seriously, I love it here)

    WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? The deepest depths of Arkansas

    WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK? I do data things, writing things and research things

    AND YOUR SO? He's a computer guy, doing computer things

    ANY KIDS? Nope! 

    PETS? I had a very amazing golden retriever, who developed cancer and was put down on my birthday this year (September). I've not worked up to getting another dog yet, but I know I will before too long. I can't not have a dog for an extended period of time.

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? Goat cheese, brie, really sharp cheddar, edam. You know? Pretty much all cheeses.

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Scotch! Particularly a peaty scotch like Ardbeg or any of the Islays. Also wheat beers. 

    ANYTHING ELSE? I found myself on this site because I'm wedding illiterate. I didn't really want one, never fantasized about one, and never really paid close attention to the weddings I attended. My FI is the wedding planner of the two of us, and the one most invested in the actual wedding day. So far, I've really found this community useful for helping me to navigate all of the details and expectations of wedding planning. So, thanks!

    i also hate mayo. i won't eat it or Miracle Whip. I don't eat deviled eggs, tuna salad or anything like that.  The only  thing I knowingly eat with mayo is my FMIL's homemade caesar salad dressing.

    PETS? Huckleberry! I'm new around here, but I've spent most of my time bragging on my boy. FI knows that Huck is my main man and he's cool with it. 

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? Feta, for sure. I order Greek salads for the feta alone.

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): I'm a bourbon girl and I LOVE Old Fashioneds. Any red wine. Other than that, coffee fuels me. 

    ANYTHING ELSE? I am a craft junkie. I like buying junk for cheap and fixing it up. I love to cook and try new things in the kitchen, so I've been creeping on all of these recipe threads and stealing all of your tasties. Thanks ladies!

    PETS? We have a two rescues dogs, Henry a 2 year old shepard/husky and Jake a 2 year old shepard/lab. I love them to bits

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE? I love all cheese, especially if its been melted but my all time favourite is brie.

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): Riesling 

    ANYTHING ELSE? I have traveled around the world in one trip.

    WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Grew up in Jackson NJ (right near Six Flags)

    WHERE IS YOUR SO FROM? Born in either Maine or Arkansas, lived in both of those for small times, mostly grew up in Indianna, and then SC and Virginia for the Navy, then Jersey (where we met)... now we both live in Delaware

    WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK?  Chemical Engineer by degree, work for a Nuclear Power Plant

    AND YOUR SO? Operator at the same Nuc Plant

    ANY KIDS? Not yet

    PETS? We adopted Ralphie, the "lab mix"... he is 25 lbs, affectionately goes by "Poopy dog" and im pretty sure is mixed with Jack Russell.

    WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CHEESE?  Pepper jack and variations of it... also sharp cheddars

    FAVORITE DRINK (boozy or not): sangria, cider, rum and coke, and if no alcohol is involved, I'm a Pepsi girl
