Hump Day! WOOT WOOT!

Last night I wasn't feeling great when I got home from work but I managed to get the food shopping done anyway. After dinner, I read a bit on the couch and then was ready to go to bed at 830. EXCITING! 

Tonight, H and I are finally planting my veggie garden and then grilling dinner again and I would like to crack open a bottle of wine. H's friends might be coming over since it's Wednesday even though Survivor is over. 

It's going to be 88 degrees here today and I'm wearing a dress for the first time this spring/summer! It's been so chilly here despite being the end of May. Here's an AW pic for good measure (cc: @TwoDimes because we have the same shoes!):

Last night's anniversary celebration was perfect. We sat and laughed together all night. The pretzels were absolutely incredible and our cake literally tasted as perfect as it did the night of our wedding - we wrapped that shit up GOOD. H loved my gift for him and laughed for like 10 minutes at the etsy toilet paper gift. 

Tonight won't be as magical - I have to go home and H and I have to clean our entire apartment because my brother and his gf are flying in late tonight! Today is my Friday and I get to take them around Boston on Thurs and Fri, then we're driving up to see my parents in NH for the long weekend. It should be fun.

It's supposed to be 90 here today, so I came prepared with an AW pic cause I'm also wearing a dress for the first time this year - I'm wearing the Modcloth dress!:

@PamBeesly524 I am glad you had a great anniversary dinner, and it sounds like it will be a great weekend. Also a cute dress! 

I am not AWing my outfit, at least not yet, since I am still in the tank top and sweatpants I slept in last night, and haven't decided what I am wearing yet today. 

FI went and talked to his parents last night, and even they mentioned to him that they were taking things too far. Hopefully all is well, but FI absolutely agrees with me that they shouldn't be able to dictate any of that. So glad we are both on the same page there. 

Today I am probably going to check the P.O. Box for more RSVPs and go grocery shopping. Maybe keep unpacking a little too.

Well DH and I switched plans and got new phones last night! Whoop! I hate having to re-do all my settings on new phones but whatever I'm just glad we got it over with. Yesterday I worked from home and I had a bit of time to fill up my patriotic wreath. It looks much better now than it did before (please don't skin suit me, I didn't feel like editing out my name):



Anywho...We also finally finished watching The Bachelorette and I'm honestly not very impressed with the guys she has....they all seem rather douchey but I guess time will tell. We also watched GoT and I cried. Such a sad episode.

Tonight DH is working and I have a dentist appt today...wahhhh. It's just a cleaning but I still don't like it. 

Today I'm wearing what I like to call my Vera Bradley dress. It's not actually Vera Bradley but it looks like it. It's from Loft and the only picture I have of me wearing it is from when I was pregnant so here:

@PamBeesly524 Our cake was the same too. We wrapped that up so much. It was the best! I'm glad you had a good anniversary celebration!! Your dress is super cute!

@PamBeesly524 thanks! Our wedding is July 15th, so it's definitely coming up! I have been finalizing things since we got back here that need to get done still for the wedding, which is why we aren't fully unpacked yet.

I am not wearing a dress today lol. I wore a maxi Monday and I have one planned for tomorrow so maybe I will AW it tomorrow. I do have today's outfit but please ignore my pale face and the nasty bathroom floor at work.


I have on a peach tee and tan capris. I also took a picture of my shoes because I love them!



I am feeling much better today. Not 100% but hopefully by tomorrow I will be. Last night BF fixed the cable so we were able to watch the last two episodes of Gotham. They were good. We also fixed it just in time for SYTYCD to start Monday. Not sure how I feel about the little kids on it this season but I'll give it a try.

Another busy day at work today. Can't wait until this long weekend gets here!!

I don't have a full size mirror at home (or work) so here's my partial view of my skirt, so comfy!!

 

So I need help with a kind of dumb question...... H's aunt & cousin are invited to the baby shower. We received a gift from the registry mailed straight to our house this week. The note on it says "We are so excited for you, love Aunt". The billing address shown is Cousin's. So....I don't know if I send a thank you note to just Aunt or to both. Here are some facts- aunt is single- so the WE are excited makes me think it's from both of them. But then why is it only signed Aunt? Aunt gave a large wedding gift, so the price of this gift seems reasonable for her to give without splitting. Aunt owns her own tax firm so she's not the type who needs her daughter to internet for her. ???

Not AWing my outfit today because I'm in PJs still.  I'll get dressed a little bit later.  There's not much going on here.  I have a chiro appt late this afternoon, so I'll get to jailbreak out of the house for that.  Tomorrow is my next OB appt, so I'm starting to get a little anxious.

@jenna8984 They aren't Sperrys, they are knockoffs. They have memory foam though and are SO comfy. Much more comfortable than my Sperrys.

Thanks @LizzyTish88 !  Almost everything is ready (just have to put together her changing dresser and put stuff in it) just in case.  Except H still needs to get vaccinated and put the carseat in the car.  Otherwise, we went and bought all the basic stuff plus a few preemie things.  I'm hoping that since we got ready for her to come early, that it will jinx everything and she'll stay cooking until the very end.  But we'll see.

@lizzytish88 nice! Yea I pulled out my Sperry's for the first time this year (since they are white couldn't wear when there was still any slush on the ground) and they are far less comfortable than I remember!

My outfit taken from my parent's basement bathroom. I was dropping off Cinders and my mom asked me to work from here for a little bit so we could go get a Starbucks together. I don't remember the brand but this dress came from my first SF!

Excuse my face...I haven't had coffee yet....



Tonight H and I will probably continue to do bathroom touch up stuff. We're down to the last few things like touching up the nail holes from putting up the baseboard, small things like that. And if I feel like it I might get started on painting the cabinet!

@pambeesly524 - I love your dress, too! Our baker will make us a brand new cake on our 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, etc anniversaries. We don't live in the same city anymore, but I totally plan to have my friends 'pick up' the cake on our behalf. For our first, they did that, then my gfs had a little party with champagne and sent me pictures of them eating it. Ha.

@southernpeach89 - OMG for a hot minute I thought you were pregnant again and had been holding out on me!!!!

Last night H and I went and got sushi, then I went grocery shopping. Very excited. This morning I went to crossfit. Didn't lift much, then my lady parts decided they'd had enough, so I walked a half mile and called it a day. The last couple hours have been not fun, but it seems to be dying down. I'm refraining from spending hours on google today to figure out what it might mean.

Tonight I have a mentoring meeting, so it's going to be a long day.

OOTD: I love these shoes. They are so comfortable even though they are heels.

Morning ladies, you all look great today!!

Not much last night. I was so tired when I got home, so we made pasta and I napped for a bit.
Spent a good chunk of time on our balcony once the sun was low enough and just chatted about things. Making sure we had game plan on things.
Since closing date is end of September, we need to figure out a few ideas. Movers vs doing on our own. Despite one is cheaper than other, if the timing is good we may do movers.

Can't post a photo now, but I'll post later. Just a simple leopard print dress that's flowy. Going to be warmer later this week!
