What You Do:Currently working at a Tux shop, although interviewed for a job at an insurance company that I DESPERATELY want.

What SO Does: Just got out of the Army in February (after 7 years, including one year of deployment...very proud of him, even though I didn't know him then!) Since getting out of the military he's been working at his dad's shoe shop (they do things I didn't even think people did anymore, like shoe repairs....I thought you just threw away broken shoes!) And he's planning on going back to Afghanistan or possibly to Iraq in August as a private contractor...for a year...

Hi everyone my screen name is : MissTheFrog84 (named after Miss Piggy from the muppets if she ever married Kermit and the year I was born)  My real name is Lisa.

What I do: I am in between finishing up college and trying to find a job.  I am hoping that the nursing home I put my name in at calls me to let me know if I am going to be considered for the nursing courses or not.

My Significant Other works: My significant other works as a security guard.

State of Relationship: Engaged to be engaged, he and I both want me to finish college before we get officially engaged.  

We have been together: for almost 8 months, with him I don't want to say I just knew but I haven't felt this way about anyone before, not this strongly.

We are getting married: we haven't set a date yet.

Pets: I have a pet fish named Freud (I was a psych major in college before I switched to liberal studies) and my significant other has a yorkshire terrier.

Favorite thing about my significant other: He has really been there for me through some really tough times and he can make me laugh.  I also love how honest and up front he has been with me

Least favorite thing about my significant other: Probably getting him to talk if he is watching t.v.  I also don't like how honest and up front he is with me sometimes, which I know in the previous question I said it was something I love about him, don't get me wrong, I do, but there are times when I really hate him being so honest.

Hobbies and Activities: watch movies, hang out with friends, read, write poetry and I just started a story.  I also give my friends advice when they ask me.  I am also going to be starting the Zumba dvd's my mom and I ordered soon, once the weather cools down a little bit.  I also enjoy swimming, bike riding, dancing, and walking, baking, I am also getting back into jewelry making. 

Describe your personality:  I would describe myself as a cynical and sarcastic person until you get to know me, I am outgoing and try to enjoy life because I had to learn the hard way that life is short and not every day is promised to you.  I really can't say I'm cynical or sarcastic now, my boyfriend has slightly changed that aspect about me.  I do admit I do have a warped sense of humor though.

Snark Level:  1-2, I'm just here to get some ideas for how to plan a wedding, because I have never been to a real wedding before in my life.  My step brother and step sister got married through a justice of the peace and my boyfriend and I both want an actual wedding.  I really would like to try to plan the whole event myself, but I really do not think I'll be able to do it.  I started getting overwhelmed by the vendors for flowers, photographers, the whole works.

Something interesting about myself:  My boyfriend and I met online through a social website, not facebook or myspace.  I have a really large movie collection.  I am also the oldest grandchild on my mom's side of the family.  On my biological father's side of the family I am somewhere in the middle and on my step dads side of the family I am one of the youngest, I think.  I read the Twilight series before the Harry Potter series, honest opinion...Harry Potter is much better.

It's nice to think we're moving in that direction...he just got his job a few weeks ago, so it's going to be a while before things REALLY happen, but the fact that we're talking about it just makes me excited we've known since we've started dating that we're going to be together forever, we just clicked immediately and knew...so 4 years down the road, I'm excited to head in the direction of marriage and such, but I'm okay with not rushing it, we already know we have the rest of our lives together, so why rush?!

Tell Us Something Interesting About Yourself: My boyfriend, roommate and I met each other protesting Scientology. He was at the first protest I attended in February 2008 and we started dating in October 2009. We live a very interesting and odd life that my coworkers like to hear and laugh about. On a more me-centered note, I've lived on three continents, studied North Korean history and Japanese language for three years in college before switching to nursing, can read French fluently and know enough about religions to speak with confidence to practitioners of said religions so that I can learn more about them. My boyfriend and I are both Buddhist, but different schools of Buddhism (he's Zen and I'm Mahayana).

And regarding lack of ring: we actually have a ring. It's my grandmother's wedding ring. She gave it to us exactly five days after meeting Tyler, which I figure is a good sign.
