We were dating...I was in a wedding as a BM and had no clue WTF I was doing, so I came here. Ended up getting engaged about 8 mos after that.
We're now married, no babies. I'm too busy spoiling Mr. Man and Lil Miss to deal with kids of my own. ;)

At the time I can't really think of any posters I didn't really care for except for Cate - she annoyed the bejezzus out of me and I am honestly glad she's gone.
Second the Harry Potter stuff - I've never been able to get into it honeestly.
I'm not really sure how to answer the last question because our relationship hasn't really changed much from dating to engaged to married. I will say that after watching DH with Faye I have fallen more in love with him. You can just see how much he loves her and it fills my heart with such joy. Wow I'm sappy.

I had one big breakdown (crying) with DH about three months before we got engaged that we weren't engaged yet (we had planned to be months before, but DH had his work hours cut back, and the ring took a little longer to pay for than we had planned). This was right after I had surgery, and I was so tired and depressed, it didn't take much to set me off. But, after I got my cry out, DH and I sat down and had a really long, good discussion about our relationship, what we saw for our future, etc. In the end, I was glad the moment happened, because it strengthened our communication with one another.
The best advice someone gave me when it came to marriage is that your wedding is one day. Your marriage is a lifetime. You should spend triple the amount of time building your marriage as you do building a wedding.
Oh yeah, and NUMBER THE BACK OF YOUR RSVP CARDS. I should have listened to that one. ::headdesk::

So, I will ask this: Now that you're no longer a regular poster on NEY, where do you post most frequently and why did you leave NEY? I may pop in on other boards occasionally, but this is the only board I post on with any regularity. I was in the same boat at Mutley...there was a period of time where there was constant drama and a few ladies that liked to perpetuate it. I actually like a lot of the girls on the board now, and will probably post here more often now.

A bunch of the OG girls sent a handkerchief around the country chainmail-style and wrote messages on it for me...Mutley brought it with her when she arrived the night before, and Rickylee and Ana finished it off. I carried it in my dress when I walked down the aisle, so I could have some of my closest girlfriends with me that day.
Speaking of OG...I can't tell you how amazing it was to have those girls there that day. Seriously. It makes me want to cry, it meant so much to me.
All I wanted for a wedding gift was all of my cousins in the same room at the same time. I got it.
My dad was such a trooper that day...he was trying so hard not to cry. We ended up telling each other raunchy jokes the whole day (including during our dance) to keep each other laughing, rather than crying.
Family tradition - get a little schnaukered, stand around in a circle with your arms around each other's shoulders, and sing "Friends in Low Places" at the top of our lungs while you sway back and forth. This was my brother and sister and their SOs, along with my DH. This was definitely "OOOOOOOOOOOOOASIS" time. It was hilarious.
My grandfather was the only grandparent who could make the trip down to FL. We had two of his granddaughters escort him into the ceremony. It was hands down one of the sweetest moments of the whole day.
I made my dad stop at the top of the aisle so I could hug and kiss my mom...it was one of my favorite moments of the ceremony

We were dating...I was in a wedding as a BM and had no clue WTF I was doing, so I came here. Ended up getting engaged about 8 mos after that.
We're now married, no babies. I'm too busy spoiling Mr. Man and Lil Miss to deal with kids of my own. ;)
I think the most memorable for me was probably ice rink wedding girl...that one was PRICELESS.

At the time I can't really think of any posters I didn't really care for except for Cate - she annoyed the bejezzus out of me and I am honestly glad she's gone.
Second the Harry Potter stuff - I've never been able to get into it honeestly.
I'm not really sure how to answer the last question because our relationship hasn't really changed much from dating to engaged to married. I will say that after watching DH with Faye I have fallen more in love with him. You can just see how much he loves her and it fills my heart with such joy. Wow I'm sappy.

I had one big breakdown (crying) with DH about three months before we got engaged that we weren't engaged yet (we had planned to be months before, but DH had his work hours cut back, and the ring took a little longer to pay for than we had planned). This was right after I had surgery, and I was so tired and depressed, it didn't take much to set me off. But, after I got my cry out, DH and I sat down and had a really long, good discussion about our relationship, what we saw for our future, etc. In the end, I was glad the moment happened, because it strengthened our communication with one another.
The best advice someone gave me when it came to marriage is that your wedding is one day. Your marriage is a lifetime. You should spend triple the amount of time building your marriage as you do building a wedding.
Oh yeah, and NUMBER THE BACK OF YOUR RSVP CARDS. I should have listened to that one. ::headdesk::

Not much has changed other than I think we have just continued to grow closer and love each other more. We're really happy. Marriage rocks.

I was in the same boat at Mutley...there was a period of time where there was constant drama and a few ladies that liked to perpetuate it. I actually like a lot of the girls on the board now, and will probably post here more often now.

A bunch of the OG girls sent a handkerchief around the country chainmail-style and wrote messages on it for me...Mutley brought it with her when she arrived the night before, and Rickylee and Ana finished it off. I carried it in my dress when I walked down the aisle, so I could have some of my closest girlfriends with me that day.
Speaking of OG...I can't tell you how amazing it was to have those girls there that day. Seriously. It makes me want to cry, it meant so much to me.
All I wanted for a wedding gift was all of my cousins in the same room at the same time. I got it.
My dad was such a trooper that day...he was trying so hard not to cry. We ended up telling each other raunchy jokes the whole day (including during our dance) to keep each other laughing, rather than crying.
Family tradition - get a little schnaukered, stand around in a circle with your arms around each other's shoulders, and sing "Friends in Low Places" at the top of our lungs while you sway back and forth. This was my brother and sister and their SOs, along with my DH. This was definitely "OOOOOOOOOOOOOASIS" time. It was hilarious.
My grandfather was the only grandparent who could make the trip down to FL. We had two of his granddaughters escort him into the ceremony. It was hands down one of the sweetest moments of the whole day.
I made my dad stop at the top of the aisle so I could hug and kiss my mom...it was one of my favorite moments of the ceremony
