Sarah, it's actually in this thread (I think. I have bad short-term memory Haha).. She claimed here that she was engaged and her wedding was a year away. THEN she went and posted over on E, saying she was ALMOST-engaged, and was planning her wedding in just a few months.

I definitely feel like the grim reaper of threads!

My name is Jen and I mostly post over on E since that is where I started lurking and I'm finally learning who everyone is, but I was in the neighborhood over here and thought I would join the conversation and introduce myself!

I'm a web developer and will be marrying AJ on 11/5/11. We became officially engaged on July 21, but I was with him when he bought the ring about a month before, so it wasn't a huge surprise. He found out the next day that he officially received his architecture license, so it's been pretty exciting so far!

We're getting married in our hometown in Indiana at a beautiful venue. We'll be doing the ceremony and reception at the same location since we're not very religious. We originally wanted a September or October wedding, but our venue was completely booked up until our date. It's ok though, because I love November. I'll just have to be patient because it seems like so far away!!

Since I don't lurk over here as much as E, I don't have many opinions on who I do and don't like. Sorry I'm lame in that department. :-/

Its ok, just jump right in. Say your piece, and you'll get to know people. It takes a while to sort everyone out, and then they all have history with each other. I'm still trying to figure some of that stuff out. Don't feel left out, the more you contribute the faster we will get to know you.

I'll just be in my dress. I have no idea how to design the actual cake to put it on, though. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Well, if you want to hardcore nerd it up, the tauren (aka, bull guys) main city is all on giant earth pillar things (see: <a href="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.wow.com/media/2007/06/aa0605.jpg">http://www.blogcdn.com/www.wow.com/media/2007/06/aa0605.jpg</a>). And they use a lot of totemic references (such as: <a href="http://img.brothersoft.com/screenshots/softimage/t/thunder_bluff-247315-1245031076.jpeg">http://img.brothersoft.com/screenshots/softimage/t/thunder_bluff-247315-1245031076.jpeg</a>). So you could maybe have the cake as a mini pillar with a couple cookie totems on the bottom, and have the cake topper on top?

Just an idea. I'm not incredibly creative, but I'm thinking about how I can do FI's.
