• And also pull your pants up when you're out in public. If I can see the curve of your ass in your Calvin's, your pants are too low. PULL THEM UP.

AND ALSO. If you're going to walk in the middle of the walkway and then suddenly stop like you hit an invisible brick wall and stare blankly up to the left of you for NO DISCERNABLE REASON don't get all huffy when I almost knock you down because I can't read your mind and the only things I'm aware of that will suddenly stop and stare intently at nothing is my goddamn cat AND THE LAST TIME I CHECKED YOU ARE NOT A CAT, YOU BASTARD.

I was told last year that it was illegal to use your phone as anything other than a phone while driving, so talking on it was OK, but texting, GPS, or anything else was illegal.

I went to a premiere of a movie through a radio station at MOA one year, and we got this long lecture about turning our phones off and being quiet. One guy talked through the ENTIRE EFFING MOVIE really loudly. He even got into an argument with someone who told him to shut the hell up, to which he claimed "I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to my girlfriend, so mind your business." 20 minutes before the movie was over, they finally kicked him out. This was after they were patrolling the aisles checking for cell phones, and people were telling him to get this guy out. That is the last time I will ever do one of those premieres at MOA.

• Oh man those of you who had issues with the Adopt a Family things, I'd be so mad.

My unpop op is about unions (at least as they are now), especially teachers unions. I agree that they were needed back in the day when people were exploited. But nowadays, I feel like they do more harm than good. They protect a lot of teachers from being outright fired when they should be. I don't agree that it should be easy to fire a teacher, but I also don't agree that it should be so difficult either if they are not doing a good job or fulfilling their job obligations. There are a ton of good teachers out there without jobs.
• Its illegal to smoke indoors, smoke within x amount of meters from an entrance, drive with a phone in your hands or even with the screen visible to you, and probably lots more.
• I don't care if you're black, white, or neon green, shut your effing mouth in the movie theater and turn off your phone because I don't want to see the screen glare every time you just have to answer a text. This is why I don't go to the theater, I get way too worked up just thinking about the irritating people.

I judge my Mercedes driving coworker for demanding that his expense report be expedited (despite his late submittal and his questionable charges) or "I can't pay my mortgage this month". I know it's none of my business how he spends his money, but I still judge.

I guess since we all have to have insurance here, and if I get injured noone is paying my medical bills for me, so I should be allowed to do what i want since im not going to be a strain on anyones wallet except my own.

The place I used to go to tan (before trips!) had some dumb signs up in it, though, about how tanning will decrease your risk of getting breast cancer because you're getting a high dose of Vitamin D in the tanning bed. Really? Well thank God I won't be getting breast cancer, because I'll need the extra D to fight off skin cancer? Sheesh.

Eh, MrsBJ, I could argue that your projectile body coming out of your windsheild could hurt someone pretty badly, even in the other car.

Okay, I have an unpop op, but I don't know how unpop it is. An Oregon school district made it so that parents get issued a $250 fine when their kids skip school. I am against it. Sometimes a parent tries their hardest with their teen and just can't physically control them. I don't think financially punishing the parents is the answer.

I was diagnosed with a severe vitamin D deficiency. Along with vitamins, they suggested tanning. Obviously not 20 min in a high powered bed, but depending on your skin, a brief visit for 5 minutes once a month can do you good.

[QUOTE]I judge people who ignore the "The store is closing in 5 minutes" announcements we do at the end of the night at work. I want to go home, damnit. I've been here for 8 hours, I don't get paid if you decide to stay late to look for "just one" more clearance DVD. You've been here for 20 minutes. If you didn't find something yet, come back to morrow and try again. For right now, GTFO!

My store has different hours than most other stores in the company, especially in our region. There are also three stores in our city, so people come in all the time, especially Sundays, and as soon as they get warned they claim "The website says you close at 10." No, it doesn't. It says the other stores close at 10. People need to pay attention to what store they're looking at and not take it out on me when they are wrong.
We have several regulars that get into arguments with us and the cops because if we know they are in the store, we will hunt them down and give them several warnings to get out. If they didn't stay in the store for a half hour trying to individually bag every single item they bought, we wouldn't have to kick them out. The store is open for 15 hours a day. There is absolutely no reason they can't come 3 hours earlier.

I agree with that to a certain degree. Here we have universal health care so the cost of treatment would come out of tax payers money so I see it a bit different.

Also, insurance is a big pool of money and if there is x amount of bodily injury claims that cost big $$$$$ then everyones premiums go up by Z to fill the pool again, so that sucks.

I don't see why talking on the phoen while driving is a big deal, but texting is. If you wanna take that risk, that's your choice to make. But they've done studies that show texting while driving is just as dangerous, if not more, than drinking and driving. I'ts not right to put the lives of others in the hands of someone who is texting and driving. Some people can do it with no issues. Others, not so much.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: I judge / unpop ops : I agree with that to a certain degree. Here we have universal health care so the cost of treatment would come out of tax payers money so I see it a bit different. Also, insurance is a big pool of money and if there is x amount of bodily injury claims that cost big $$$$$ then everyones premiums go up by Z to fill the pool again, so that sucks.

I get that. Which is why im ok with if you chose not to wear a helmet or wear a seatbelt, you are 100% responsible to pay your medical bills.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: I judge / unpop ops : For serious, it does. I'm such a red bone that I love having a little more color. Especially since it evens my freckles out and I don't have to wear any foundation when I'm tan.

This. My freckles come out on my shoulders and nose. LOVE.
