Well, not where I live, lol.  But yes mara clearly I hate America :)

Mands (or whatever I can't remember your sn right now) that is about the worst FB overshare I have ever seen.  Except for one I saw in my feed recently of someone describing in detail, her son's flu.

Its different for each state.  You cant do that here.

ETA: As a matter of fact, if you dont have a valid ID on you I cant serve you at all.  Even if you are 80.

• That's so funny, I guess I didn't realize it changed per state. I remember a friend of mine got married 6 months after she turned 18 and her husband was like 23 or 24. When they would go out to eat, if she got carded, he would order for her and it was no big deal. Leave it to Ohio to be gung ho on more alcohol sales

I judge people with dirty bathrooms. SIL is the worst at this. The rest of her house looks great, but her bathrooms are covered in mildew and stink SO bad. Her kids tub is filled with crap (like dirty stuff her husband brought in and was supposed to clean up and sell, but hasn't) so everyone bathes in their bathroom...but the whole place is gross. Blech.

We also stayed with H's cousin over Thanksgiving and it was the same situation. It was covered in mildew, I wore flip flops in the shower.

The best part of OH booze laws is that I can drive there on Sundays and buy it. :)

I can remember some of my older HS friends wanting to go to OH with 21+ people to drink.

uh, that's Wisconsin. (duh. who else?)  And actually, it's if you're UNDER 18, your parents can legally order/serve you booze. But once you're 18 you are responsible for your own decisions, so it's illegal again until you're 21.

yup.

• Wait, so it's legal for your parents to give you booze in WI?! I guess it makes sense...so many people I know got drinks from their parents when they were in HS. I didn't, but, I guess a lot of parents have the idea of "I'd rather them get drunk with me?"
• I have a FB friend that I keep for pure entertainment value. I went to school with him in like 4th and 5th grade so I barely knew him, but whatevs. He's trash and dates lots of trashy girls. When they break up, he sends a message to every.single.one of his FB friends "letting everyone know the real deal on the ho." The last one included a rant about how he slept with dudes to make her happy and how he would hide in their shed while she slept with the landlord to pay the rent. He also posts pictures of himself "mad ballin" with cash fanned out in his hands. Usually it's ones, fives and tens so he considers himself to be a baller with $82.

• Yup, LDY. They can't host parties or anything. But it was totally legal for me to have a beer or glass of wine with my parents at dinner.

I should go see if I can find this actual law. This is all just stuff I know from friends whose parents were cops. ;)
In Response to Re: I am feeling judgemental : That's a long drive from Florida.  Ha.  ;-) Wow, I didn't realize there were states that still had no booze sales on Sundays.  The laws are also really odd in PA.  You can buy hard alchohol and wine from the liquor store but beer is sold from state-controlled beer stores or you can get beer to go from a bar.  So odd. I remember shoulder tapping when I was under 21.  No way in hell would I buy booze if some kid did that to me.

I remember moving away from PA and thinking it was crazy that there was beer at a gas station or grocery store. Haha.

I'm still surprised that booze isn't sold on certain days, or in grocery stores in some states. That just seems weird. ::shrug::

RIGHT!?!<div>
</div><div>You're supposed to get clean in your bathroom. How do you do that if your bathroom isn't clean!?</div>
• No booze on Sundays in MN either. Which is stupid, because WI is like 45 minutes from the majority of MN citizens. We can only buy 3.2 beer from the grocery stores. EVERYTHING else is at liquor stores.

in WI? you can buy anything, anywhere. Target even has an aisle of liquor and wine and beer. (along with grocery stores, gas stations, etc.) Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a liquor store in WI.
In Response to Re: I am feeling judgemental : I have friends who live in a county of Alabama that is "dry."  As in, they can't sell alcohol at all ever. (Yes, I know this is the standard definition!) But I didn't know places like that existed. In fact, I didn't know their county was dry until it was up for a vote again recently!
Posted by djhar
I grew up in a dry county.  It did nothing for the economy there.  Sit-down chain restaurants weren't willing to open businesses and there was a liquor store within 100 yards of the county line on every major road out of there.  They changed the law to allow beer and wine sales from grocery and convenience stores (in NC all liquor comes from a liquor store) and then we got a Wal Mart.  They still didn't allow alcohol sales at restaurants until a few years ago.

Now that they allow liquor sales my hometown has gotten a Ruby Tuesday, a pool hall, a bar, and two tattoo parlors.  We're moving on up.
• I judge people who:

- don't merge in traffic until the very last 2" of lane, even though they knew it was ending for the previous 3 miles.

- litter, especially pee bottles. WTF??

- let their young girls wear hooker wardrobes to school.

- use the bible as any sort of bargaining tool or rule book when arguing with someone who doesn't follow their religion.

- pick and choose which parts of the bible are right and which ones should be ignored not realizing that, with Jesus, you're either fuucked or forgiven; there's no in-between.

- are mean to animals.

- are mean to people.

- vaguebook.

- are Rick Santorum.
