I won a free cruise to the Bahamas to go to a private concert by DMB. I stood on the ship during the performance. Fi wasn't having it either but I wasn't going to pass up a free cruise just because of them.

I also hate it when it is pouring rain and people wont turn on their lights, I cant see you! Same in the fog.

I dont care for HP, but I think people have the right to read what they want. And a lot of people like fantasy stuff. I'm sure there are people who dislike my reading choices.
But than again if you dont like Stephen King there is something wrong with you! J/K.

I don't like the books when they come out immediately after the crime. Too sensationalistic.

That's why I like the ID channel so much. They just did a 48 hours on ID (I think that was the show) on a Florida crime I'd read about within the past year. They've covered the writer in Durham who pushed his wife down the stairs, the Ted Ammon case, JonBenet Ramsey, and just recently, Aphrodite Jones did a special on the West Memphis Three, which is a case I'm fascinated with.

I like DMB music.  We went to a DMB concert because my H loved the opening band. 

The DMB concert would have been enjoyable if it weren't for the fans...  so many drunk/high frat boys peeing on the concert hill and the drunk/high whiney skanky college girls falling all over the place.  It was a friggin mess!

I judge people who make sweeping generalizations about music they don't like. Like, "I hate rap." I promise if you think that, you haven't listened to it enough to determine that you hate ALL of it. I definitely have genres that aren't my favorite, but I wouldn't say that I've never, ever met a rap song or whatever I liked.

I also judge people who don't read at all. This include people who only read magazines. Getting involved in a book - fic, non-fic, romace, sci-fi, whatever - is a different process than reading a few paragraphs about Lady Gaga.

I cannot get onboard with the U2 hate, sorry AATB. I don't like their newer stuff. But 80s-90s U2 is pretty awesome and they put on a great show. But not as good as Bon Jovi (I'm a Jersey girl, of course I love Bon Jovi, it's required).

I've never really been a fan of Bon Jovi but I scored some free tickets to a concert last year and they put on a rockin' good show.  Jon looks fantastic.  Richie Sambora is looking kinda rough these days though.

DMB and U2 are overrated.

Ditto on the ending of the third book was not the best but the Hunger Games series it totally worth the read. 

NASCAR is many things, eco friendly it is not.

Early REM was awesome. And I'm totally on board the Bon Jovi train. Have been since the mid 80s. Actually, I'm a fan of most of the 80s hair bands. John and I have to meet in the middle when we're traveling by car as to what we listen to. Pink Floyd usually is it.

I think saying you hate a genre of music is different than saying you could never like a song in that genre. I've given lots of country a chance, I think I like one Faith Hill song and maybe one or two Carrie Underwood, but they're more cross-over country/pop artist anyway. "Real" country like Garth Brooks, makes me cringe and hurts my ears.

When the Indy race was here, they ran on ethanol mix, and I was really interested to see how many pit stops they were going to have to make for gas.
Of course, since I hadn't seen one before, I couldn't compare.

I did see the tire guy in the pit beside me get hit by his driver (if I remember, that car was also owned by the same owner we were with). He was VERY lucky it didn't break his ankle. Oddly, I don't think she's racing with them this year...

This might be more of an "I Don't Get It" but I think it's lame to be so devoted to a sports team that it ruins your week if they lose. Or, that you get so excited when they win that you act like an ass. There is a girl I work with who will literally run up and down her street screaming when they win, and when they lose she is grumpy and moody until the next game. I will never understand why people act like that.

Also, I wouldn't be able to identify a U2 or DMB song if I heard it. I have very limited music knowledge.
