KPP's?

I vowed for awhile not to participate in FFF, and I'm mad at myself for getting back into it recently.  I was actually just thinking this morning that I didn't want to do it anymore.

I worry that this marriage will end for the same reasons my first did.  I know it is irrational and H and I talk about it but I still worry.

I knew a girl in high school who felt that she'd only be pretty if she "fixed" her crooked nose.  She got a nose job when we were sixteen.  And she was pretty afterward, but she really looked almost too perfect, almost Barbie-like.  Sometimes our "flaws" are really what make us unique, as cliche as that sounds.
Baystate, your secret is mine, except with singing.  I love to sing and I've been in choirs my entire life, but I'm afraid to sing in front of people in the car or at karaoke because I don't want to be told that I actually really suck.
    Posted by arbolita
YES.  I totally feel the same way.  I sang in choir for years but I was always too terrified to get up and sing by myself.  One time a friend made me do karaoke.  I was scared out of my mind, but I had a blast and I got a lot of compliments!  Go to a bar with a bunch of friends and sing with them at first, then just go for it.  It's a lot of fun.

Yeah, I mean, partially I don't want to be flamed, but also, I just never feel good after I participate.  I flamed Matt's Penguin a few weeks ago for copying my blog, and even though my feelings are true and valid and whatnot, I still feel bad about it because I'm sure she wasn't malicious about it.  It just bugged me.  I usually just stay out of it.

Crap, I can't get the graphics to work for me on my work laptop, but I'd love to confess that I'm still mad at one of my husband's uncles for borrowing money from my husband at the wedding and never paying it back.

His wife was also the one who kept threatening to open all of my wedding presents to deprive me of the pleasure since my husband opened one of her presents at her wedding when he was three.

And, separate but related, I really want to know what his grandparent's beef with him is. They're profoundly passive aggressive towards us and it makes H feel horrible

I can't see the graphic for Fishy's and thus it is still a secret to me.

I've got one, and I'll probably be accused of kicking a dead horse, but whatevs.

I PPH the new E. I think SB is super puppies and rainbows and cliquey and huggy and kissy, and I only miss one or two exclusive SBers.

I also like FFF, but definitely think the every other week format is better than the every single week format.

I also think all the KPS's about board drama are stupid. E is either accused of being boring as hell or Drama City. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Huh. I guess I had three. And none about my personal life.

Glad to know everyone's feelings about FFF.  I don't like to participate (and admire those who don't get involved), but if I do I end up feeling really bad afterwards.  Nothing good ever comes of my participation in FFF.

Why does E do it again?

Because E likes to put on their big bad biitch pants, but likes to have a "safe" zone to do it, like we're playing freeze tag and FFF is base and you don't have to take full adult responsibility for your words because if someone defends themselves, you have the trump card of saying "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG." So people use FFF to reiterate their brilliant thoughts about something that happened and was beat to death earlier in the week, or whip out some blindsiding crap about someone that they've been harboring without a peep until it was "safe" to say it.

MP, I'm with you. I always lurk on the entire FFF thread and I always want to participate... but when I do, I either a) get the shiit flamed back out of me and I back off, or b) I get totally guilty and sulk about how lame I am.

Because many people are too chickenshit to tell others what they think of them at the time of a post, so they decide to "save it" for FFF because it's more acceptable when it's posted there.
