Jessica- Most places I've worked would not be able to accomodate pumping at work. Working retail my options would have been in the public bathroom, or in a back room filled with animals. Working at a high school I'll be confined to a faculty restroom or one of our network rooms. My archaeology lab would have been the bathroom. Not exactly a nice experience. Also I don't know how much time it takes to pump, but I'd imagine it's not a 5 minute thing. I know of very few employers who would allow you to take multiple, lengthy breaks for it.
    Posted by katiewhompus
I work in an office full of women, and there have been 4 babies born since I worked here.  We get two 15-minute breaks plus lunch every day, and all of them just pumped during those times in an empty office.  3 times a day seemed to suffice.

Ah, when I worked retail we were allowed 1 60 minute break per 10 hours, and weren't allowed to split it into smaller ones.

Currently I'm allowed 1 30 minute break for lunch and that's it.

I need to get better jobs I think...

People can believe what they want, but I'm using myself as my own personal study to show that my brains came from my parents genes and my super powered immune system came from having a mom as a teacher and attending day care. My parents weren't germaphobes when I was growing up and I was allowed to get sick. Now as an adult, I've never had to take a personal day from work because I was sick. I've never had the chicken pox and I never get the flu.

I also think it was a dig at Toms ex Bridgit because after her baby was born she talked about how painful it was and she wasnt prepared. Then ol' Gissy-Pants releases the whole "oh..it deed not hurt! he just flew out of my bagina followed by some glitter, a puppy and a half eaten veggie burger! viola!!" Then Bridgit was all "she was totally irresponsible for saying that, of course there is pain!" And then Gissy was all "if you dont breastfeed you hate your babehs!!"

Me either! But people keep telling me that I need to get vaccinated for it because as an adult, it's way worse and can cause a lot of complications. None of which I've taken the time to familiarize myself with.

I know me too! However my mom has never had it and neither has my brother (32). I'm afraid I'll do more harm to my body by getting the vaccination than just letting luck be on my side (if I don't have some super secret immunity to it). I've been in day care, public school, and both my mom and aunt were teachers. I figure I would have been exposed to it by now!
