• a lot of people are in the midst of controversy when they decide this isn't the place for them anymore. some make the big announcement, and some just stop posting and go about their lives. the former will always be more dramatic imo, I don't care if I lurve the poster or not.
and I'm not saying drama is a bad thing. I happen to love it. but let's just call it what it is.

Her last post on the board said something to the affect that if there were people here who would post things to the site-which-must-not-be-named, it was for sure not the place for her to be. It was in P2s thread about the same subject. She had not posted since.

Also, she made a note on her blog about a message board she used to post on and why she is a former-and-not-current poster.

  • I just don't see how anyone, even Alix, could like Twilight enough to get a permanent reminder on their person.

Hypocrite, party of me: I think HP is different. It's just a different literary/ pop culture beast altogether. I probably wouldn't get a HP tat, but I just think it has more longevity. Hypothetically, if I were to get an HP tat, it'd probably be a spell or something Dumbledore said, in script.

    Posted by laladypoet
Okay Lala. I can't speak for you, and if that's how you feel then I can't tell you you're wrong. I'm sure everyone has their own way of perceiving GBCKs, so it's pointless for any of us to claim we know the way it really is. My whole point in posting in this thread was to add another perspective. Oh, and I'm always talking about ACTUAL YOU. I even named my taco cat Lala. ;)

    Twilight cake? Touche, Georgia.
I'd consider an HP tattoo. I mean, if something plays a big role in your life, by all means, get a tattoo representing it. I just think you're lame if Twilight takes up a big enough/important enough chunk of your life to warrant a tattoo because, "I read twlight when I was in a bad head space and it totally made sense to me! Like, it just means so much to me! I owe my life to Stephanie Meyer!"

I am replacing the "Twilight" in that sentence with TheKnot, and it's making me laugh.

  • Alix, even with your shameless Twi-love, I know you'd never consider a Twilight tat. Or, erm, at least not go through with one!

I know a few people with LOTR tats, actually. Something that's timeless (in a good way) is different, and I'd consider HP to be in that category as well.

  • I love anybody who says the word "pimp" on any kind of regular basis. Especially if he/she uses it in the verb form, which is "(big) pimpin'." And perhaps spendin' cheese.
